I use a keyboard with a built in touchpad the same model as this:

I stopped using mice because I was getting bad RSI.

I love it. It's hard to find a keyboard with touchpad or something similar.

I have a Microsoft Comfort Curve and it's a good keyboard that is waterproof, ideally for coffee/tea drops in the desk day by day and it's not expensive.

I don't know how you guys can use keyboards with 'stiff' keys.
I love using laptop keyboards and my G19, fingers just roll over the keys and no effort to push down.
I find with the 'stiffer' keyboards I have to adjust my sitting posture so I am almost sitting above the keyboard otherwise my fingers get very sore.

I still keep a selectric around for typing forms the "softest" keyboard i deal with is my thinkpads

Cherry G81-3000.
No-frills 105-key wired keyboard that's stiff enough for me and doesn't wake the dead.
Cherry MY microswitches = linear actuation, 60g actuation force, > 100g to bottom out.
Sure as hell doesn't beat a model M, but so far it's the best non-clicky keyboard I found.

Has anyone here used one of the "new" customizer keyboards from unicomp?

I use a G19 and love it. Only for the feel of the keys and the lcd backlighs though.
It's a complete waste of money imo because it comes in a fancy box that must cost $30 to make, a silly LCD screen that is totally useless for anything practical, the keys light up which is fantastic but you can also change their colour to 1 of 256 different variations, it has usb ports in the back (kind of useful for my yubikey) AND you have to plug it into the wall on a power supply...
Apart from that, its a wonderful keyboard, though my wasd keys are already feeling worn after only 13 months.

Prior to that I had a razer tarantula keyboard, now that was the biggest waste of money I ever spent on a keyboard... never again...

Ahhh, good old Model M. Mine actually died after 15 years of service... Not the board itself, mind you, but the cabling at the connector.  Cry

You killed one? did you keep the board i can order cables!

Unfortunately it's landfill now. Undecided

I actually use a Microsoft Wireless 3000 v2 now, which is the complete anti-thesis to the Model M...

So i still use one of these and have for 3 seperate computers and probably will till somehting horrible happens to it.
I'm too abusive with keyboards, but I enjoy them while they last. I guess I could say the same about everything else; cars, women, and keyboards, not necessarily in that order.
