I'm really sorry for you, a translator friend of mine translated many beautiful projects and thanks to this job he bought a nice house. You're a not little lucky.

Obviously your friend was here for years or I shall say for the last two years, I mean that's really a box office for bounties and early members really gain a lot of course if they use it properly, and I'm lucky to be part of that era. Grin

Likewise, just accept that bounties that are bountiful are over and we're still like hoping that we can catch a good one.

I'm a bountyhunter, or better: I was.  Roll Eyes

I'm a translator & did a sig or two.

In one year I made about 15 translations.  Some were just ANN, some ANN + BOUNTY & some including WP.  So what was my ROI?

I spent about 3-15 hours/project.
I researched for 1 hour/project
I spent about 3 hours/project communicating & reading Telegram/BTT

Just some facts:

3 out of 15 projects actually released a coin that is worth something.
I made about 50$/hour ranging from >1k$/hour in december 2017 to almost nothing these days (that's why I stopped)
3 projects were proven scams
7 more projects are still 'pending' with an inclination towards being scams/dead projects.
50% of the money comes from 1 project
40% of the money comes from another project
I had to wait 1 month for the most profitable bounty.
I'm waiting for more than 6 months for about 10 projects (of which I assume I will get noting from at least Cool

SO: was it worthwile?  yes  BUT only thanks to the crazy bullrun.  Would I recommend people for participating in bounties NOW?  HELL no...

Such problems occur very often with me and several other participants. if we conclude this is our risk, bounty hunters. therefore, problems like i don't stop us from hunting for prizes....

Finally someone who recognized that they only made money from bounties because of the bullrun. This is the same realization that people should have made when they made x100 or x1000 from ICOs and altcoins and bloody tokens, that any idiot who bought almost anything would have made some profits, but this had nothing to do with skill, or project worthiness or whatever, pure luck thanks to the bullrun.

Don't stay off bounties or projects though, simply because you thought they are useless. If I find an ICO I like now, I'd still put my money in it!

I can relate your sentiments as we are in same situation. The market condition has hurt as all and this is the reason that I will not recommend to my friend to do a full time in cryptocurrency. If the situation will continue with next year, it will tougher for us to survive.

I also turned 1+ year and my early days are exciting even until now despite of the bear markets. Honestly I'm very picky when it comes to joining campaign because as bounty hunters we all have responsibilities on what we promote online. I'm not discourage even my holdings are worth a penny now patience is a virtue as they say and its not always Christmas everyday, maybe after all these storms there will be a shining light for those who believe but don't keep shitcoins. Thanks for sharing your experience anyway.

Some where smart enough to think before joining and putting efforts, we should really know were we engaging our time, translating is nice with decent profit as long as the project will be successful.

in my opinion this year I was very disappointed with the bounty campaign compared to last year.
on the grounds that there are more and more campaigns going on now, and that affects many campaigns that are scam, or not paying, different from last year, little is going on, but it is proven to pay.
so for this year's revenue decreased for bounty campaign seekers

right, bro, for this year it was very bitter and very disappointing with many scam and softcap projects that were not achieved, this achievement was very different from last year, I feel a lot of failed projects that I follow now
this is bad, but worse if we lose enthusiasm and confidence. like trading emotions really determines your profits. there must be a new plan, a new strategy in joining the bounty. be patient and continue to work.
yes indeed we have to work harder, there must be a new strategy that we have to plan so that we don't go directly to scam projects, so we don't waste time because of unclear projects.

As I can see in your experienced, you are a hardworking bounty hunter. And I admired your dedication and determination you applied for those activities you've made it before mate. Though, almost the whole year of 2018 was really frustrating for the bounty hunters, but we do nothing about it only we need to wait on the right time. But honestly speaking, the ICO bounty campaign now are good compare last month of October dude, that's what I saw. So let us still be bullish on the coins we hold so far.

You have a good portfolio experienced for less than two 2 years, I understand your disappointment and frustration you've faced a couples of months waiting were in one day the bounty which you joined in before will send you a reward, but sad to say still so far is not giving any payment. But you know what even the situation was too harsh I'm not giving up mate I still continued what I had started here, in fact since 2017 I still have 8 project bounties I joined were up to now is not distributing a rewards, though I'm not relying on it actually, whether they pay or not my work must go on, because this is where my resources came from.

Even with lower payments 50$/hour according to your estimations it is too much for translator, don't you think so?
Basicly translators earn less and your ROI is higher. Also 13 translations isn't that much considering it as a main job, so estimate it as an additional income.

For now bounties are not profitable, i was able to sell only one or two tokens in last six months. May be bullrun can change this, but when?

Bounties of todays compared into last years is really entirely different and old bounty hunters can really tell the difference of now and on last years when it comes to profit making.
Remembering where bounty programs do last up on 1month - 2 months max but now due to market condition they extend and horribly reach even on 6 months waiting and as a bounty hunter
you arent even sure if you do waste up your time or not on promoting or doing task to the project.

Your rank is so high that you can easily achieve success when you join a signature, but we are only a fraction of you.
He has a high ranking, and he is a translator. That's why he can earn 50$ per hour, It's really huge. But in the 2018 everything is not smooth, and the bounty is the same. Most failures and delays cause many people to get discouraged and want to give up

I sell them without reading the whitepaper.

When doing marketing activities for a company, maybe it's good to read the whitepaper or watch how they handle things, I think it's easy because you are working for them. Not understanding the company your working on is worst, why are you working for a stranger? Better understand the project first so you could decide whether it's worthy or not to get involved with them.

Nevertheless, I am very thankful for this extra cash.  I live in a first world country with a decent wage were this money is just some fun extra.  I can imagine that this kind of money is lifechanging for peope in third world countries.  I hope for them it was anyaway.  Given the amount of money that could be made and still can be made, though a lot less, I still wonder why there aren't 100.000's of buntyhunters.

I don't think the days of the big gains will return.  Crypto is more known now and if there's free money involved, it will atract so much bountyhunters (and crooks) that the profits will be flattened anyway, even in a bullrun.
