Don't over extend your expectation on individual people you meet since not all is really nice since we have certain interest to protect that's why you should never trust anyone since they might turn us down especially when dealing money online and any people we think good could possibly turn into a bad person.
But also there are just pure garbage here so you need to avoid them since they only spread toxicity and your energy will get drained once you read all their negative post especially if they are just fighting and throwing some shades on each other.
But there are still good people here but its rare to find them since sometimes they are just silent and doesn't like to have extra exposer since they want peace and only in focus on how they can earn then gather some information here in forum.

It's normal to meet people who are aiming for the same thing as you, and they will treat you with respect and love but some pretend to be on the same page as you, do not give face to everyone, some people have account on this forum only to trap others, yes, some are scammers and they don't always last long when they are detected by the moderators, that's why I don't reply to PMs, yes I do get a lot of PM from members on here, I just believe that not all of them have good plans for you.

There are good guys on the forum and there are bad guys on the forum. If you stick with the good guys by whatever yardstick you use to measure their goodness, there would be a noticable difference in your trajectory of growth in the Bitcoin community. You may even go from the 0.1bitcoin club to the one Bitcoin clubs because of the opportunities that the good company exposed you too.The friends that I have made on this forum and that we have met in the real life has been one of the reasons why I am still a strong believer in Bitcoin. I don't see much different in that. Because many people who are in this forum has had many testimonies that might have happened to many people concerning there investment plan, yet they ignored the it and only focus on signature campaign for survive. Bitcointalk is a forum I will advice any Bitcoin hodler or anyone that has the interest of buying Bitcoin in future to join. Alot of people has once joined the forum without having Bitcoin but has gotten their wallet filled up with the little they can avoid base on the knowledge and mentor acquired through other members of the forum. Apart from the fact that it help to encourage holders not to sell their Bitcoin, it also have a lot which you can learn from it that can help you in your cypto journey.

Of course, what you said there is a given. This is a more reason that we ought to surround ourselves with people of like minds. There should be a reason for friendship or acquittances. For me, it's boring discussing one's passion with people who aren't exposed to such. It can even breed envy or getting labelled arrogant among such people. Avoid anyone who tends to see you as dreaming too big. That's a major red flag. For this forum, yes it's a succour. This is where I first cut my teeth in this industry and it has helped tremendously in the way I see investments, not just cryptos.

What makes you think so, if you're an investor and you're not here in Bitcointalk then you're not a serious investor, the forum is good but you sound like discriminating against people of their preferences, I don't see CZ here of Binance and he is a real investor and I have friends who are not here and they invest more than I do, not because they are not here they are doing on their own, there are still a lot of resources outside of Bitcointalk.
Bitcointalk is great I'm all praise for this community but we should not look down on people who are not here and are supportive of the cause of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency.

Sometimes many companies seems forum like something of bitcoin but they want to advertise their products with bitcointalk platform, some of the companies that last in bitcointalk are the companies that knows what bitcoin is all about and also gambling companies, a normal company that doesn't deal with gambling and bitcoin will not last in bitcointalk. 
I agree with the message of the OP, bitcointalk has helped me in many ways. The benefits of having a community are enormous. From support to safety, learning to sharing, every single day we talk about bitcoin, the dangers of custodial wallets, why bitcoiners should not store their keys online e.t.c. These words are being mentioned on the forum on a regular basis, it’s hard for someone to be here and not pick up these things.

Sure, you are right. Being together with people who are looking for the same goal as you are also looking for is very important and communicative because you will find it easy to get what you want when you are truly dedicated to the thing you are looking for. For investment discussion and other related matter about cryptocurrency this is the good place that you can stay on since as stated for so many times and what we actually notice we can seek a lot of information especially with latest thing discuss by members. If all people using this forum didn't discover that this site excess maybe we can see a huge number of people deciding to quit earlier because they don't have any venue to talk about their frustration regarding on the market movement and also other helpful things that need to discuss.

I must really confess that many people here are not really bitcoin investors. They hide under the shadow of the forum and pretend to proffer solution yet they a victim of what they tend to correct. Togetherness of the forum is good but one thing you should know in an organization like this there are many sets of people with different motive. How you feel about them does not really matters. But what matters sometimes is how judicious you make use of the information passed to you. Because they are more like a preacher which might teach but don't do what he preaches.
Without this forum, many members would have been victims of scams because there is much misinformation on the internet. Many people would have invested in scam projects and lost money. This forum has also assisted many in learning about Investing in Bitcoin. If not for this platform people would have been driven by FUD to sell their coins. One will always get the right answers and the best motivation to keep holding regardless of the uncertainties that are out there.
There's no doubt that this forum has helped to foster innovation in the broader cryptocurrency and blockchain space entirely because many new projects have been announced and discussed on the forum and some have even gained early traction and support from the community. The forum has been a place for developers and users to discuss ideas and proposals for improving the Bitcoin network and other cryptocurrencies as well but there have been many cases of scam and accounts farming as well trying to take advantage of the forum's users. To OP, Bitcointalk is a nice place to be if you want to learn about bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large. Social media in general has blessed us in one or the other with the opportunity to meet people who are friendly and nice to be with. But, just like any other media, Bitcointalk is also comprises of evil people and scammers who are looking for every possible way to defraud you and you have to be careful. However, it's very necessary to appreciate the good people in the forum for the knowledge they're passing out to us.
Everything is correct, OP. The energy of the forum saved me many times and taught me to be patient and not react to the market every time prices rise or fall. I have been tempted thousands of times by the feeling of cashing out those few funds when I see a small profit. The forum and the community taught me the rule that you should not waste your time on small things and eat something that will always cost much more. And yes, I see people who are outside the forum, and their opinion about Bitcoin is completely different or even opposite to the opinion of the people gathered here.
Even though I believe in serenity and being alone, I've started to buy the idea of alumni's. They're not necessarily friends, just companies with like minds that are beneficiary to you. And as for the pygmalion effect some people and myself get from the forum, I believe it ends up affecting your overall lifestyle. So, the forum is definitely a nice place to be in and the members, definitely companies to keep.
