No time-limit. Once the Airdrop is open, we keep running until the 10 billionth claim is made! There are 2 billion Facebook accounts who could claim, and we're next integrating with Instagram, Twitter, Weibo etc.... By the time 10 billion claims have been made we'll have give away over 250 billion POW.

To put it into context, the last 5 billion claimants will only get 1 POW each (this is because the algo does not allocate fractions of POW and rounds "down" using the Floor() function). The Algo is (10^10)/(number_of_users). Can see from the equation that as soon as get past 5 billion claims, each user just gets 1 POW.

The allocation schedule is therefore intensely deflationary - despite first impressions.

Good luck on the 3rd! Remember, the 1st claimant is going to get 10 billion POW.

Yep, is on the website Homepage - we've tested - is spot on. As soon as it gets to zero hit F5 (important) and the "Login With Facebook" button will appear - then go for it!

(If you don't hit F5 the "Login with Facebook" button will not appear and you will miss the boat.)

If that is true (may be) can't dump till Dec 17 as there is no bridge yet between POW lite and POW ERC20 - that is our post launch task#1.

O.K. If anybody reading this at 13:00 PDT on 29th Sept - we're about to zero the databases and do a "dry run". If you fancy some fun, see if you can be the 1st claimant and get 10b POW. We'll leave the system allocating claims for next hour or so to run some tests.

Remember, the real Airdrop kicks of 09:00 PDT on 3rd Oct.

its a huge supply, i can only wish very many people dc claim this so that it can have some value once at the market, but i know many people will claim to dump, basically due to the huge supply

Maybe you should consider adding registration using twitter accounts, because not everyone has facebook account. Also what are minimum friends to claim airdrop?

Facebook have a global network of 2b active users. Instagram is 700m and Twitter is only 300m.

FBs 3rd party login and validation service for Apps is such a strong tool for us to leverage, we could not turn it down.

Our game plan is to introduce additional social media logins over the months ahead (possibly including Chinese social media sites like Weibo).

Are you saying, why can't you send a link direct to your fb friends? You can, it's just that we don't have a referral scheme - so you just have to send them a link http://www.powtoken.com out of the goodness of your heart ;-).

Regarding referral schemes - we felt we'd rather make the whole project something that people would want to genuinely share with their friends, for their friends' benefit rather than a paid referral scheme which always leads to abuse (spam) and avoidance by many who don't want their friends to feel they are monetising them.

No problem - if you had 300 friends, and they were all POWtoken.com account holders, you would appear in the drop down list of all those 300 people, when they logged in to POWtoken.com. When you log in you would see 300 names in your drop down list. For any of those 300 of your friends, when they log in, they will only see the names of their friends (including you) that are also members POWtoken.com.

It all works - is lovely! :-) We're actually holding back the transfer functionality till 10th October as we want to make the App as "light" as possible on launch day on 3rd October, so we don't risk blowing servers up if we get millions of visits. Then when the initial spike is over, we introduce ability to transfer to your friends. Also gives us a week more to bomb-proof the transfer POW code. Is working perfectly, but we have not shot a bazooka at it yet - which needs to be done.

I think 09:00, Pacific Time (PT) would be 16:00, Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). I also think this project looks good and would be following it. Gonna be hard to get the first claim as the page could even go down due to massive amount of people haunting the first claim.
