cryptocurrency is something new and interesting for many people, and it's like a new form of investment with great volatility, and actually my hobby.
cryptocurrencies are a reliable reason right now, this can save us from the banks but it is not the perfect solution till now but still an experiment and the best option to make our economy stable. or at least it is helping a lot of humans in their life. Maybe Satoshi made bitcoin just as a concept and that was the reason bitcoin made so much popularity but we need something which is not just a concept and a perfect implementation.
For me the most important thing is freedom and profit or income that can change my life for the better in my finances and economy, and in my opinion that is the main reason and we cannot deny it.
and besides that it can be used as an alternative payment as a substitute for fiat and a very comfortable and safe investment and many other reasons about the goodness of the crypto currency they experience with different reasons.

I use cryptocurrencies most of time for ease on the exchange between virtual goods and money into real money fiat.

You are right, in particular about transparency.Transparency means no frauds, no manipulation, easy transfers verification.

I would add a second major point: the circumvention of financial intermediaries, i.e. banks--> banks losing their grip on people's financials.

Don't blame banks and governments by using the fiat currency. Now bitcoin is come in a few years ago, but fiat is here before you birth, fiat is also necessary for us. But about bitcoin, it is latest technology, that's why we should use it and also use it in our daily life.
