[Coindesk] - Bitcoin is Abuzz With New Satoshi Nakamoto Rumors
Pete Rizzo (@pete_rizzo_) | Published on January 26, 2017 at 15:40 GMT NEWS

If the gossip at a recent invite-only bitcoin conference is any indication, news may be forthcoming in the long-simmering Satoshi Nakamoto saga.

On the sidelines of the two-day Satoshi Roundtable conference in Cancun, rumors were swirling that new developments in the 'Who is Satoshi?' story once again relate to the controversial Australian academic and entrepreneur Craig Wright, who last May claimed that he – and as many as four others – contributed to the white paper credited to bitcoin's pseudonymous inventor.

This time, however, there is said to be a potential twist to the story relating to an unknown entity that may have a claim to the intellectual property created by that group.

Major news outlets are once again said to be conducting an investigation into the story, with releases coming out as early as next month.

It was a no-fuckin brainer! All those fuckers have to do is provide definitive proof to theymos that JUST ONE of their accusations is a truism, and my scammy Dumb-ass with all my alts would be banned from this forum. It's not my fault that it's been going on for a year and a half now for them nefarious fucks to get their duckweed-feed ducks in a row so to accomplish such a relatively simply task. Hell, I even provided over 90% (.90% if you went to the same school as Leroy Fodor) of the work for them, yet here I's still are.

Back to Leroy Fodor, that lyin' piece of shit even called the Sandwich, IL, (where I used to live) police department to have them stop having me harassing him. I went to the PD so that they could show me exactly what laws I was violating with my posts about his scammy ass. They couldn't find anything, coupled with him living in the Philippines, the issue became moot, hence still sticking it up his fuckin ass. HAHAHA & Chuckles

So you work at a Sandwich shop?  haha, I've had worse, much worse jobs but I'm laughing cause I can see you like that soup Nazi guy, angry while making a meatball sandwich and cursing at scammers on the internets.  I'd like a short video of that.  lol

As for the Fodor guy, I can't keep up with all these scammers.  I'd like to know if Vern dumped all the IXC he stole.

I'm always in need of a good laugh.  Had no idea you were terrorizing that Fedor guy for that long, or that you put your account on the line for it.  That's resolve.  Smiley

What is Qtum?  I didn't know Xi also meant joy.

And why did the Chinese get to make up whatever names they wanted?  Star Xu?  Samson.  Another guy I saw was named Han Solo or something.  How is that fair for the rest of us?  I'm stuck with the name of a serial killer with an affinity for impaling Muslims en masse.  lol

But for real, China pretty much owns Bitcoin.  Besides the coders they can do whatever they please with Bitcoin including 51-ing it.

The rest of us need to build out some 200+MW hyper farms to even things out.  Throw a billion my way and I'll make it happen, and I'll even 51 the entire place just to make a statement.   Grin

Question: Contrived?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numbers_in_Chinese_culture#Eight

Quote
The word for "eight" (八 Pinyin: bā) sounds similar to the word which means "prosper" or "wealth" (發 – often paired with "發財" during Chinese New Years, but is used alone or paired with numerous other "compound words" that have a meaning of luck or success, Pinyin: fā). In regional dialects the words for "eight" and "fortune" are also similar, e.g., Cantonese "baat3" and "faat3". The word is also phonetically similar to the word for a hundred (百), alluding to greater wealth. Note as well, this particular symbol matches the mathematical symbol of infinity. While Chinese does have other words for luck, this full understanding of luck that includes the infinity concept marries into a Chinese understanding of this particular word.

There is also a visual resemblance between two digits, "88", and 囍, the "shuāng xĭ" ("double joy"), a popular decorative design composed of two stylized characters 喜 ("xĭ" meaning "joy" or "happiness").

... ... ..

Similar to the common Western practice of using "9" for price points, it is common to see "8" being used in its place to achieve the same psychological effect. So for example menu prices like $58, $88 are frequently seen.

Plan your knife catching accordingly, if you are into that sort of thing. I could still be wrong though https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.17614836

China time:(GMT+8)

January 27 (New Year's Eve)--Most shops close by the afternoon
January 28 (New Year’s Day)--No bank or government office is open. Only big shopping malls are open.
January 29 (Chinese New Year day 2)--Almost no bank or government office is open. Only big shopping malls are open.
January 30 (Chinese New Year day 3)--Some banks and government offices are open, but business is limited and hours are much shorter. Only some big shopping malls are open.

January 31 and February 1 (Chinese New Year days 4 and 5)--(The statutory holiday period is over. Some people will keep visiting friends and relatives; some will go back to work.)Most banks and government offices will be open, but business is limited and hours are shorter. Most shops will be open.

February 2 (New Year day 6)--Some shops, companies, and offices will reopen on this day, because 6 is a lucky number in Chinese culture.

Then on the 8th day, TO MARS!

And we're still holding strong, how's that grab you?  China has a lot of influence on bitcoin (I think), but this is a global thing.  There's only so far that goes.

I still wonder what the real numbers are as far as how many users/buyers there are geographically.  That info doesn't seem to be very available.

That info is available and always has been.

Look under the column labeled "Volume". Here's a hint, the two at the top with all the volume, BTC China and OKCoin, are in China.

Here's an image of the current Bitcoin globe.

There is a reverse head and shoulders pattern forming. The Segwit starts signaling on January 28 and I have a strong feeling it is due to increase by at least 50%.

Thanks.  My copy and paste skills aren't what they used to be.

Yeah, people should be putting some money on Litecoin here.  It's a smart play.

Your code is busted.

But I agree.  LTC will probably be first to upgrade to segwit which should get some serious hype.  Can't ignore the Lee brothers and their connections to China, BTCC and Coinbase.

Definitely low risk/high reward at sub $4.

Thx for the advice!

... or control the distribution of gunpowder.

Too late.

It is estimated 12 BILLION rounds of ammunition are sold each year in the USA. Not all of that ammo is shot off each year so it is reasonable to assume the total number of rounds in the US - just in civilian hands alone is in the tens of billions.

Which is why the only way to disarm the US of A is by force, be it economic or outright civil war.

The Feds bought a few billion rounds over the past few years.  They must be expecting a flurry of Canadian geese.

I'm hoping the Trump win was truly unexpected cause then at least we'll get an audible which could be fun or maybe, a complete backfire.  They dug their own graves sort of thing.  A revival of sorts.

Whatever happens over the next few years, one thing is for sure, it ain't gonna be normal.  The country may split in two soon, and if so - then Obama is gonna come back for a sequel.

Don't forget the "Let them eat tacos hat" used while banning 90% of the paper notes in circulation

Speaking of India banning ~86% of the notes, I think it's a market test for places like America.  So it's interesting to watch.  Many there, especially in rural areas have turned to bartering.  One huge wild card in America:  GUNS!!!  Lots and lots of guns.  So they'll have to figure out a way to get rid of those first.

Enter Martial Law...

Actually, that's the Star of David and the two black dudes are Rabbis (and mes thinks that one has a glass eye, the one humming Mr. Bojangles).

You're obviously not an illuminati expert, like myself.  That's not the Shield of David 🇮🇱 [which has 6 points].

No, These infiltrators are either communist spies or undercover Wendy's staff, which I think is a front for the illuminati.  Either way president Trump has been compromised; someone needs to get me into the Oval Office with him so I can warn him [and so I can sell him on iXcoin and uh, *cough* get me a selfie with the king].  Sad, real sad, but fakebook's got me by my nuts.

My bad! THERE ... ARE ... ONLY ... FIVE ...POINTS !!!
