Well it's the typical rule for who investing their money in cryptocurrency. We all agree on that, except there are some problem,we don't know the exact dip, don't know the right time to sell.By just buying on the dip, you'll become a bag holder, lose almost all of your money. Now,to make profit,it will depends on the decision and experience of the user.

This is the rule of 8 as regards the Cryptoworld,

Rule 1: A True HODLer Does Not Sell Their Coin.
Rule 2: A True HODLer Buys the Dip.
Rule 3: A True HODLer Remains Steadfast In Spite of FUD.
Rule 4: A True HODLer Keeps Their Coins Off Exchanges and Online Wallets.
Rule 5: A True HODLer Buys Goods and Services With Their Coin.
Rule 6: A True HODLer Spreads the Good Word.
Rule 7: A True HODLer Does Not Get FOMO When Another Coin Rises.
Rule 8: A True HODLer Will Run Their Own Full Node.

Do you guys agree with these rules?
I really agree with you and I have trying to develop those qualities and I have been holding some unit of bitcoin since this time last year. If I can develop that mind to  "buy the dip" I will be most happy as most times I will see good opportunity to buy any coins at cheap price but get afraid of what will happen to my investment when price fell further.

Most (as you call them) true holders, I bet do not run a full node. I think there are many holders who don't even have the technical capacity to do so.

Truth is, I hardly know what that means - run a full node. But items 1-7 I can relate with and true of real hodlers.

LoL

I never did number 8 personally, but the other items I agree and I do myself!  Grin

Specially, number 1 to 3 are extremely important. You're not a hodler without them.  Smiley

I havent done the 5th rule yet.
Most of the time I do the number 2 rule.
I have their token already and I want more specially when it goes cheaper than a dollar.
I love token which have lower values then I will get thousands of it or tens of thousands. That way when it does increase I can really feel the profit.

It's funny, and I agree with them, but I was never into religion so I like middle terms. It doesn't have to be black or white even when it comes to crypto. Let's face it, bitcoin right now, is presenting us an amazing opportunity to make some profit and generate more bitcoin. I am holding my coins, but instead of just blindly holding I try to sell at the top and buy when it's low, gathering more coins for my portfolio. What's wrong in selling bitcoin when it reached $20k and now buy it back after it went to $7k. Of course I didn't do it exact on these limits, but i did manage to increase my bitcoins a bit, with these variations. I support bitcoin, and when I sell it doesn't mean that I'm done with it, it just means that I want to hold more.

I disagree with you on always hold, there are time you need to scale out of your position, when Bitcoin went to $20k we all know the price is not sustainable, sell part of your portfolio makes you a prudent investors not that you don't believe in the project

Nope, the only rules you should follow are discipline and common sense.
Of course, good bankroll management is a must.

What does it mean to blindly hold some asset?! Pointless.

The real question shoudl be that do you want to become a true hodler or gain more bitcoins. I do not agree that hodling always works. I like trading more than holding and have been very successful this way.
