This is most likely the equivalent of a clickfarm doing bounties. Don't get me wrong here, but it's part of the reason that decentralized checking for bounties is lacking at. There's no way to detect abuse when it's coming from the same user or group when there's no centralized platform bounty hunters have to go through.

I'm confused should I be appreciating the calibrated efforts that he put to take care of that many accounts or should be mad that we couldn't track him down any sooner. So basically, you can become a millionaire from the forum if you are smart enough to manage 1000+ accounts ? How is it even possible to login into 200 of them without losing your mind ?

In my opinion they are more people working as a family and if we follow the rule of 19 alts, they are 7 people.
Also is not hard  for a cheater to cheat, many users here uses bots on twitter easy detectable (but hey managers pay them anyway) and someone probably even to post reports.
Maybe I need to start to report them aswell.
I don't think so if these all accounts are handled as one person, it is hard to believe how he/she, manage that too many accounts at a time.
If they are 7 people working on this they never think that someday they will be caught because of linked 1 wallet as a collector.
So far this post I have ever seen in the scam accusation that has too many accounts used to fooled a bounty project not only account farming it is just scamming the entire project.
Scammers are always a scammer.

@coinlocket$ - Nice work! I think this is the biggest case ever in Bitcointalk with that much account... Keep up the good work, be a contributor and bust the cheaters.

limiting ppl who join to be member+ will only work for a small amount of time. If these ppl figure out a merit scam and rank up, it will be the same thing over and over again
It's not a bad idea, though.  I do think these bounties really need to tighten up their rules, or that Theymos needs to put the smackdown on them and force them to do so.  I'm sure these project developers and bounty managers don't care one way or another as long as they get their advertising.  It's disgusting.
@Yahoo - I don't think it will be easy to find a merit abuse system unless some of the merit sources and some members become corrupted.
It's been a while now since merit introduced but we haven't seen any major merit abuse except some high ranked members merited in huge to their likings.

@Pharmacist - You are correct on the bolded statement. Why should they care if they just want good advertisement? More participants equal to more awareness.
They are not paying anything extra because of the abuse, they are paying only the amount which was already allocated for the bounty. I don't think anything will change in alt section anytime soon or ever.

Alt section is like Amazon Forest where there is no rule, you can do whatever you want like animals, just hunt down!

If the devs and founders don't show any concern for the abuse then why "WE" in btc section do such efforts?  I haven't seen yet any founder or dev of a project complained of an abuser, Do you?

If this is true, then the guy is very smart. But I don't think its a 1 man army thing, probably they are a group of people handling all those accounts.
I need to book a seat in mental hospital first if I have to handle that much accounts.  Roll Eyes

That's is crazy. Mate I really appreciate the time you have taken to go through all the accounts etc. It's great work.

If you think about it a team working together scamming bounties would be worth big money. It would be no different then the gold farmers you get in games.
1 guy pays a bunch of poor people barely anything to sit there all day doing the same crap over and over. There is endless amounts of bounties and once he had this up and running he would be getting constant payouts every day or so. That's huge money/business.

I have to agree with making the bounty section only available to members and up. At least then having to get 10 merit would slow them down for now until they could work out a way to get it and in that case plenty of people are monitoring merit abusers. So hopefully they will be found out that way as well.

Bot?  Roll Eyes

Hi marlboroza  Wink

As soon as you begin to dive into the discover of transactions, it becomes obvious the huge volume of the scam from dishonest members of the bounty campaigns. Similar to this "bot" networks will become more and more. Perhaps lists of forum/telegram/social networks accounts who was caught in abuse which will use by managers can help to rule this situation, but Timelord with their "Known Alts of any-one List" can't manage it alone.

There is gotta be more than 1 person doing it though, a team of people perhaps, it is impossible to manage 1k accounts but it's amazing to see that real users in this forum are probably less than 10% of registered or active accounts lol

How does it take to open twitter/facebook account and get followers/friends? Or to buy one? I've seen many suspended twitter accounts around here, so I guess it is not hard to create new one. Creating such topic would be like doing Sisyphus work. Nah, something in merit system has to change.

I would say this situation is almost certainly multiple people using exchange deposit addresses.
I don't think so.
They participated using ETH addresses A, B, C, D etc and they sent tokens to address "X"(accumulating address mentioned in topic).
From address "X" tokens went to different exchanges(hitbtc, Idex etc), does it make any sense to send tokens to other exchanges if you can sell tokens at one exchange?

Ok, lets say that was the case here(multiple people using exchange deposit addresses)

There is unbeatable fact that exchange will provide different deposit addresses to different users.
So, lets say they all used addy from exchange to participate in bounties(addresses A, B, C, D).

But in that case this isn't possible:

https://etherscan.io/address/0xfb17eb2cf70ca13a7e4bed5a8479c8725ce08353#tokentxns --> this is deposit address provided by exchange.
https://etherscan.io/address/0x97f81df69beb25e13232db30f49d253407ec0ef0#tokentxns --> hitbtc. There are to possibilities. 1) They participated in bounties with hitbtc addy. 2) they sent tokens to hitbtc and addy "X" is their deposit hitbtc addy.
https://etherscan.io/address/0xb63bd9c004f2d8e7caffe2ab7e72d75c0e713e65#tokentxns --> probably exchange. Not sure, I've seen some exchanges hold tokens like this.
https://etherscan.io/address/0x376e94120e76a7ba5f8ceece4aeced868fa50c6c#tokentxns --> this is deposit address provided by exchange. To 1 user. Do you see that "OUT"? That is exchange.

...unless exchange is exchanging tokens at different exchanges. That would make sense only if exchange didn't list certain tokens, but in that case exchange is either stealing tokens from users or using bot to cheat bounties.
In any case these accounts are connected and abusing bounties.

In addition, I see few groups here with very close UID's, very close bountyhive referral numbers and similar usernames:

cryptotaste, cryptoislove, tonmoycrypto, cryptonoel, albertcrypto110, passioncrypto, cryptodreem, cryptovally01, cryptojohnn7, crypto.cr, cryptomad77, CryptoMark2585, MattCrypto43, CryptoChris18, Cryptobuz, criptogenious, ericscrypto54, cryptoroi, Crypto-mim, cryptogrey, cryptoabc, cryptohipo, cryptoama...

Jones12, Hernandez44, Jaslinbor28, Brianlee0112, JacobLiam12, Miller_09, Fordallen09...

LillianScarlett, SamanthaLayla, HarpeCharlotte, GaryCynthia, JustinBrenda, LenaPetrova, EvelynAriana, AudreyAllison, IsabellaSophia, Emma Alex....

That is most likely addy from exchange. Still, it is their deposit addy.

Theymos should upgrade merit system, set new requirement to reach junior member rank - 10 merits and disable newbie posting in bounty section.

How is it even possible to login into 200 of them without losing your mind ?

It is something called 'greed' that drives this sort of madness and no matter how hard they try to quit, they eventually end up coming back just for the monies being offered.

The whole site should be in the Guinness book of records as the most likely site to get scammed in the world.

Nah, I would straight up hand that place to Sythe. With all the available resources here (escrow, middleman services) it should be unlikely that anybody should be getting scammed unless of course they decide to go first in a trade.
