The Segwit2X hardfork will be held on December 28, all about the new Bitcoin fork
It seems that the implementation of Segwit2X's hardfork will still occure, in less than seven days. Block number 501451, which will be mined approximately on December 28, 2017, can become the defining factor for the new - old fork Segwit2X and a kind of "Christmas gift" for the entire Bitcoin community.
"Commission and transaction speed within the Bitcoin network reached incredible values. The last month the average commission of the network is 15-20 US dollars, and the confirmation rate can reach several days. Bitcoin is simply impossible to use as a means of payment

SegWitB2x is just another scam to pre-mine coins and to make a few quick bucks. They saw a problem with high fees and tweaked the code to create a hard fork to profit from that. If SegWit was fully implemented and used, we would not have had these problems and SegWitB2x would have not been developed.
Another hardfork without replay protection is just an attack on Bitcoin.

And the effect of the segwit2X is now on bitcoin price, people sold their altcoins and i think most of them are now on bitcoin for getting free money from the segwet.
Yes people are buying bitcoin to get free segwit2x but I don't think it will have similar success like bitcoin cash after fork, many are buying b2x future with high hopes right now but when there will be actual fork, lots of b2x coin will be dumped on buy orders. I will not touch b2x for now, will wait so that I can sell at peak price.

What about extracting or claiming the 2x coins after the hard work? Any guides posted about that yet?

The news is official now, although we were not expecting a soon comeback of Segwit2X after its cancellation last month, but now it is really fascinating to hear the comback of Segwit2X hard fork which is going to held on 28th Dec this year.

May be it is possible that this price dip is due to the upcoming fork but most probably it is just a correction and not a new thing.

It was seen coming, thanks to the high fees, many were passing their bitcoin to altcoins with lower fees and that had as a consequence a decrease in the price of bitcoin, apparently this hard fork could not be rejected again.

BTC price dropped rapidly from 20K to 17/16K then slowed down, seems like 15K is the support, it's going sideways from there to 15.5K for a day already, so chances are it will start flying again soon enough...
