I'm hopeful that MtGox will sort out their problems, but I don't know whether it will be days, weeks or months before they can honour everyone's bitcoin withdrawals.
BTC on MtGox are only worth 3/4 of BTC elsewhere right now, and the trend seems to be that it will drop more.

Gox is the most professional & biggest exchange and if they wanted to steal their users coins, they could do it a lot more easily than by pretending to have a technical hitch.

Far more professional exchanges have gone bust in the world finance. Gox is a joke by their standards. Do you even trade anything else besides BTC?
