In Russia conducted a survey and found that about 30% of Russians believe that the sun revolves around the earth. Approximately the same number believes in witches and sorcerers. Does anyone still believe that this is a civilized country?
The maybe polled people simply joked. How is it possible in 21 century to think that a Sun is revolved round Earth? It from a digit that Earth is flat and stands on three tortoises?! I hope that this was a joke and nothing anymore.

Can't remembre how many time I've seen the same kind  of surveys made in US or different EU countries. Those "intereting facts" about someone's stupidity are not even interesing. Why Russia is so special for you? Now when we know more details it looks even more stupid.

Do you have any reliable proof for this?

1600 people are not 100% of Russians

It is clear that this survey was conducted to discredit the Russians. Russophbia among the western mainstream media has reached such a proportion that they will stoop down to any level to tarnish Russia. Surveys such as this one must be thrown to the trashcan.
What Russian can discredit the more than they doing it themselves? Why do you need to discredit Russian? This Russian media discrediting the West to the authorities asking questions why in the correct Russia are much worse than in the wrong America.

Ridiculous. Do you have any reliable proof for this? This is not a place to show your Russophobia. If you want to do that, then please go to the Ukrainian sub-section of the Local board.

I wouldn't be surprised if those 30% are from some god forsaken places in Siberia or the southern parts of Russia. That's the same thing as with US, tho it can just as well be a form propaganda to present them as some backwater savages.

About the sun agree. But witches and sorcerers exist even in civilized countries, regardless of whether they believe in them or not. Witchcraft was at all times and now exists, but many charlatans are trying to make money on this and blacken real wizards in the eyes of people.
If you are talking about these wizards that you do from Russia. This means that OP rights in this country is really a lot of illiterate people. Even it becomes ridiculous that in Europe there is a country. Probably mentally Russia is closer to Asia.

I would like to see such a survey conducted not only in Russia, but also in other countries that consider themselves developed.
Then it would be fair to compare the results of surveys and draw conclusions

This is 2011 data of 1600 people answered on the Question with the Sence Trap of Words.

People confuse the movement of the Sun over the Horizon to movements of planets in Solar System.
The same questionary contained the question about the Time of Earth rotation around the Sun, and all of 1600 have ansvered something.
This reflect 100% idea about existing of Solar System.
https://wciom.ru/index.php?id=236&uid=111345

The latest data of such "Research" is about 25% from the limited number of People.

Some picture, how the Sun is moving over the Horizon in the Sky.

Words describing "the rotation of Sun over the Earth" contain a Trap of confusing the Earth with visible Horizon.

Quote
... The Sun rises in the east and sets in the west, moving across the sky during the day. ...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebitesize/science/triple_ocr_21c/further_physics/naked_eye_astronomy/revision/2/

Check BBC talking about "the Sun moving".

The Earth in Russian is a polysemantic word.
Other of "Planet Earth" it contain "visible Ground" or "Territory".

This is a ugly Questioning Trap.

In a civilized and well educated country? No.

Btw where is the survey? I cant see it. Without seeing the actual data that's all speculation about a country. Show us the source of this survey and then we'll discuss.

Even if there was a survey, that survey might be a work of some fake news agency. There are a lot of trollnews lately.
