The mind is everything. What you think you become.
We just published our Spring 2016 report on the top three bitcoin exchanges based on community ratings and reviews. You can view the list here: http://bitcoinx.io/news/reports/spring-2016-top-rated-bitcoin-exchanges/

Which one is your favorite go-to bitcoin exchange? Did your exchange not make the list? Find them on bitcoinx.io and give them a rating and review, so for our next report it can possibly make the top list!
from that top three exchange,i'm sure people only familiar with Kraken,it have good popularity and truted exchange, many people might wonder about two left exchange, but its make sense because i see the site that post this also not too popular i think,if coindesk or cointelegrpah who post this,i will more believe.

Considering the history of major exchanges almost all turned to scam, I would use them only in special occassions, you cannot rely on any of them history have shown us because , you can wake up tomorrow and read that the exchange was hacked (usually is an inside job and they take your coin) so better safe than sorry. Use exchanges only when you cannot do otherwise and you are forced to.

How is this list compiled? Why are there only unknown exchanges there, which even don't have a lot of volume.

It makes no sense. But then your website is not very popular either, so it could be some fishy thing, by promoting your own site and give your other site ( the exchanges) some PR too.
Hi, there is nothing fishy going on. The rankings are based on community ratings and reviews. If you feel that another exchange is better, start by rating it, and leaving a comment. You can see all the ratings and comments on the site, everything is transparent. If you do nothing, then someone else will and it may not be in the way you want it to be, so be your own person and make the change you want to see rather than just complaining and doing nothing.

What were the criteria ?
How many votes did each exchange get ?

CryptoTalk.Org - Get Paid for every Post!
I use Kraken, and it's OK though sometimes they have server load problems.

I hadn't heard of 247 exchange, I googled it just now, and there is one bad review at the top, but also a reddit thread with users saying it works fine.

I wonder how the lists were compiled. Seriously, I do not think a new unknown company can just bust into the scene and start making waves like that, reputation takes time to build.

So the first two exchanges have at least four or five satisfied customers each? I guess I'll create one, become its only customer and give it a five star rating and win the exchange wars.

I dont use any of the exchanges mentioned, but I still stick the normal cash in mail route.

And thats provided through localbitcoins, since its never been a bad experience.

BTC to the moon is inevitable...

Bitcoin business usually changes very rapidly, same goes for exchanges until January we usually had Cryptsy picked as one of top bitcoin exchanges.
And now this is failed exchange and no one in his right mind won't use it anymore after that security breach.

well, that is true but luckily it doesn't happen that often so if an exchanger is good like bitfinex or kraken they will stay in the top ten and may only change rank. and exchangers like 247, and Independent Reserve will continue being unknown.

The best ranked bitcoin exchange for our Spring 2016 report according to community ratings is 247exchange.
what community is that? who voted for these ratings that made 247exchange, an unknown exchanger the best rank of all exchangers with Kraken as number 4

the funny thing here is the price of bitcoin (for buying) on 247exchange is $8 higher than the market price on decent exchangers like bitfinex, kraken,...

I have never heard about the first two "247" and "Independent Reserve" exchanges. Still prefer old school bitfinex  / okcoin / btc-e etc.

yeah gotta agree I like the old school ones also

I use btc-e to make trades - its pretty fast to move in and out

shocking me,its really kraken on number 3?and i never hear about 247exchange and Independent Reserve, and why that both have better rank than kraken and coinbase maybe?
Never heard of those exchanges either. They must have big backing or the website is fraudulently trying to get them more clients by giving them press. Top name publicity isn't always good publicity.  Wink
