all of these numbers are pure guesses and that makes them unrealistic. not because the number itself is big but because the person making that guess didn't make it based on much else but his guess.

for instance $1 million is nothing for bitcoin, we will reach it eventually but McAfee saying it was because he wanted to gain attention not because he made some analysis can made an educated guess!

I don't think these predictions will be accurate.
Although they are celebrities but I see the price will don't go by what they say, because the price is determined by market not them

I read same comments two years ago when someone said 10k dollars until the end of 2017. Price went higher double more! It's not pure guessing it's history. We have 3 more months until the end of this year and we will see last two predictions from litecoin owner and pantera capital, 100k by the end of 2018 form Van-Petersen is failure probably, it's too big rise for so short period of time.
I think 20k by the end is possible, I give less then 20% chances for that to happen, in gambling 20% chances to win are high sometimes.
All in all this is a nice list of predictions made by sound names from crypto world, some are very optimistic, but why not, everyone has a right to believe in what ever they wish. My wish is to see bitcoin over 10k before the end of this year and that to be new bottom, that is reasonable I believe.

1.  1 BTC = $1 Million by December 2020 – John McAfee
2.  1 BTC = $250,000 by 2022 – Tim Draper3.
3.  1 BTC = $100,000 by December 2018, Kay Van-Petersen
4.  1 BTC = $25,000 by December, 2018 – Tom Lee
5.  1 BTC = $20,000 by December 2018 – Pantera Capital

Which one is more realistic and do you think it will come to past?

All individuals who are just looking to sell the top. These people aren't interested in Bitcoin as currency or store of value, so why should we even care about their opinion? Tim Draper is somewhat of an exception since he has been a Bitcoin advocate for years, but also very much hinting towards the investment aspect.

The only thing I see these people talk about is that Bitcoin will reach this or that level, where is the utility? Why are they not recommending people to use it as money? If I introduce Bitcoin to new people it's all about money and store of value, where the investment aspect is just a (positive) side effect with how small Bitcoin still is today.

If I have to choose one option anyway, then I'll be on Tim's side. I would however lower it to $100,000 in all honesty.
Agree! This is one of the reasons bitcoin has become more of a speculative asset as people rather focus on the thing that is just a side benefit and then discard the real life usage as currency aspect and utilize the functions and benefits it brings. It is this utilization that would bring about real and sustainable demand and not just some huge fluctuations to the top and down to the bottom all in the name of some people speculating to make their pockets bigger at the expense of others.

I don't believe any of these predictions ! I believe that bitcoin will be traded in the range of 15 000-25000 $ in 2019 and in 2020 will overcome the threshold and go to 30 000 $ and in 6-7 years from will be more than 100 000 $ ! Also, I think we will see more to adjust the rate in 3 years !

The reason why the price of Bitcoin can be improved rapidly last year is because it is widely used in commercial hype, but since this year, I have not found more use of Bitcoin, I don't think its price will rise rapidly. To $20000!

There are so many predictions about all cryptocurrencies. But i do not really think anybody should believe on prediction by 100%. If prediction for a short period you could draw attention to it but no one knows what will be the value of cryptos in long term, all that pridiction more guesses.
But if you have to choose one I would say its Pantera Capital , because his guesses  are the smallest.

Prediction of btc price as stated above could not be realistic because of higher prices. Still, I prefer to choose close to the price that can easily reach possibly touch $20k. Hard to judge these days if what price can cross this year because of the strong fluctuations.

The most realistic price for me to bitcoin is the 25,000 dollars compared to the top3 because that is very high. But 100k dollars is possible to happen but we don't know when it happen. But no one can predict what exactly price of the bitcoin in the next few years. But i hope the price will be stable and increasing in the next few weeks to see again more than 20k dollars.

If you are going to look at the current price, seems that no one will hit their prediction specially the last 3 you mentioned. There's no way that we can get to another all-time-high this year. It will take a lot of money just to be able to get to 5 digits alone, so my answer would be no one will get their predictions right, not even close. Would be happy to see the price along the $10000-$12000, more realistic that those bullish speculators on the list.
Predictions about the Bitcoin are not accurate like stable price of any other product due to its unstable price movement we can not predict accurately. Almost all the predictions are not right and have uncertainty in it after finding it different in the time of actual value of Bitcoin or any other coin for which we predict. Experts presented that Bitcoin will hit higher than 30k dollar by the end of this year so I think it will happen but can be little different than 30k dollar value.

If I am to pick anyone at all, that would be Tim Draper's prediction even though it sounds like something that may not be that much attainable in 5 years’ time, but at the same time, who could have thought bitcoin could even test the previous ATH we had last year and what everyone thought would be the highest was $10,000.

Nevertheless, just like 1Refree mentioned, we should not be so much focused on this prediction things as they are irrelevant to the growth and development of the space, and what is very important now is to see big time development which would tend towards people utilizing it for what it is and not just because they want to get overtly rich in few years’ time.

According to these options, i am inclined to option number 5, the bitcoin price of 20k $ from December 2018. It is only predictions that may not be the reality, rather i tend to suggest another forecast and that, according to a survey conducted by the consulting company Satis Group, Bitcoin in the next five years to reach $ 100,000. These predictions may or may not be completed, but it is good to talk about them. At any given time, it is debated whether bitcoin $ 10 or $ 1000. So why not now.

John McAfee is just a big liars and I think everyone know this already.
Kay Van-Petersen - dont know who is this.  Huh
Tim Draper invested in some solid projects. So we can trust him I think.
Tom Lee just a clown and he changes his mind every week. So dont trust him.
Pantera Capital - is a solid fund. They invested 10% of their money in ICON.

But in anyway - we can make our own research and dont trust this experts. But Im agree. We will see at last 50k per BTC in near future. But... when? Probably in next year only. Now is a time to buy promising coins and hold...

In all anticipation. I only saw "5. 1 BTC = $ 20,000 in December 2018 - Pantera Capital" is the most realistic and feasible. The market is still falling and the price so high in 2018 is unlikely

I believe that bitcoin price will increase more in five years because we already see that the price is getting more better. So we still have a good chance to work on more bitcoin. If we do it we will be huge profitable.

All of these are extremely bullish predictions that are probably never going to materialize.

Just to be clear here, I'm not a bitcoin bear by any means, but once you see that $20k by the end of the year is the lowest prediction on the list, you get a feel of how absurd some speculator opinions are, especially in mainstream media.

The fact is that most of these, especially Tom Lee and John McAfee, are just saying these to get media attention for clickbait titles. There is nothing more than that. They've repeated the same things hundreds of times, and are permanently bullish even when their previous speculation does not pan out.

Anyways, an ATH is next to impossible at the moment by the end of the year, due to the bearish sentiment within the market. We could see a bull market re-emerge by 2020, but that would not take BTC anywhere close to $1 million.

First of all I think the prices of bitcoin depends on how the situation of the market goes. Though everyone has his own opinion, so we can not talk much about this. I think we should check situation of market.

Isn’t it so unrealistic that predicting the prices of bitcoin so early? I know everyone has his own opinion, but it seems unreal. The price totally depends on the market situation.

Predictions does not solve anything as what we should be clamoring on should be; what could be the level of demand, and usage of bitcoin as a currency in few years time?

This is the only thing that would be able to bring some sustainable value and not just speculative value that usually do not last and are just there for those who would rather focus more on the speculative part of things to make themselves richer by misleading other gullible smaller investors, than what is important.

They all sound unrealistic to me, but the closest I can still say is more realistic is Tim Draper's prediction compared to the rest.

I think its totally unpredictable to guess the prices of bitcoin so early. It seems so unrealistic. And also the numbers are high. It totally depends on how the market goes.
