Bitcoin futures aren't directly connected to the bitcoin markets, so if there's any impact it may produce, it's just the hype and slight FOMO surrounding those events/markets and nothing more. What I fear is that these futures can easily be manipulated by entities with deep pockets, and instead of being a market that is friendly for average traders, it becomes a tougher one compare to being directly involved with bitcoin because almost everything can be manipulated. This might scare out potential traders in the making thinking that both markets are the same. Hopefully everything pans out well because it's a win-win for bitcoin users and traders alike.

Hello guys, what is your theory regarding Bitcoin Futures. Some say Bitcoin will dip, some say will double. What say you? What's your theory? Smiley
Bitcoin futures only mean that the money put into that will delay the process of that money being put into regular Bitcoin.

The price won't make much of a difference unless there is a large investor purchasing actual Bitcoins.
For me, as per the market flow I can say that bitcoin will rise a million dollar worth in the future. A lot of companies and wealthy person are investing here so it is not impossible for that to happen. Bitcoin will create a big history and innovation over the world, and by future countries who banned bitcoin will eventually not banned it anymore.

Everyone is sure of bitcoin. Bitcoin has a great future. I see today bitcoin is constantly evolving and has an increasing number of excellent users. I am optimistic that bitcoin can be a digital currency recognized by many countries. Even if the government starts to recognize bitcoin then it is not impossible to experience a hundred percent increase compared to today.

No one knows for sure. The meteoric rise in the price has definitely made people more interested in hoarding it.
Investors are viewing it as an asset rather than a currency.

This article provides some good insights into the bitcoin bubble

Theory can not be fixed in hundreed percent in reality. It con not be applicable for 100%.
About bitcoin, as we know everytime people who join increase, more country notice the existisme of bitcoin so more people buy bitcoin and more demand in market finally price increase. That is simple theory.

The real problem is that everybody is thinking that futures are always going to kill the price, and they are not right with it, and not wrong at the same time.

Don't worry about the futures market.  Decide for yourself if you want to own bitcoin or not.  Short term price movements are impossible or very difficult to predict.

Most people who has always been saying that futures were going to change the price to * rates, they all were wrong, they consider themselves as traders and they can not even see that bitcoin is very unsustainable at the moment, i am not spreading fud anyway, because i love bitcoin.

Short term price movements are impossible or very difficult to predict.

That's important. Why? Because institutional investors will like that. Size and liquidity make fund managers feel less stressed than usual. The bitcoin market seems to be excited at all the institutional money that will come pouring into bitcoin as a result of futures trading. That's the part I don’t understand.

That being said I think the futures market will be good for price long term.  It is the first foot hold in the established financial industry.  Soon (much sooner than I thought) bitcoin will be available through brokers, at atm machines, etc, and everyone who wants some will be able to buy it without any technical knowledge.  The specific effects of the futures, I have no idea.  It may not be significant because most futures are cash settled, and in some cases the actual underlying asset may not even exist (see gold).  I don not have expert knowledge for the futures markets but it seems to me more like gambling than actual investing.  Then again the egg heads may use it to manipulate price.  I have no idea, but in general I think bitcoin still has lots of growth ahead.

I use simple theory. If the bitcoin enthusiasts get more and more, then the price will also be higher. Similarly if the enthusiasts decreased, the price will also come down. Why do many analysts say bitcoin prices will be higher? Yes because they believe in the future more and more people are interested to enter into the world of cryptocurrency including bitcoin. As it is simple.

Anyone who tries to give you a definitive answer about this and isn't at least somewhat tentative with their language is kidding themselves.

We can't be certain what will happen - what I can tell you though is that it's possible that a large group could decide to short BTC - like a hedge fund for example - and if they do, it will have a large impact on the price.

It's also possible that the futures trading will make Bitcoin accessible to a wider range of speculators and push the price up further.

Still, I think it is real and there is no chance of being a thread. But if the price of bitcoin rise very, then it may cause a problem.

Are you dumb or you have just entered to bitcoin today? Or are you under drug effects?

The futures were released during the last sunday, it was five days ago, are you outdated about this?

everybody was saying that bitcoin was gonna crash because of them, that everybody was going to short billions of dollars from the air.

And how do you see the price? It is much more higher than when the futures were released.

Theoretically, everyone would expect btc to continue to appreciate. And a good future will open up with btc, that btc will be legal and widely used around the world with modern systems, at a cheaper fee but not taxable.

i say the same stories were told when it rose to $100 and then to $ 500 and then $1000 and it kept doubling and doubling and now we are where we are. The stories will keep coming but i will entreat you to hold on to it and the sky is the limit. i ve come to believe that if it comes to bitcoin it is surreal beyond anything i ve experienced.

bitcoin will double in price and demand many will trust in bitcoin and others will stop say it’s buuble.
my theory high price and high fee

Im opposite going to say it will dip because the futures contracts show bearish sentiment I think and I think the market will react to that in the way they want. I also think quickly thereafter we will rebound and make ATH for bitcoin but that will happen in January imo not late December.
