Domain being back up is a great sign. I really can't wait to have thepiratebay back.

Till that time I'm quite happy with kickass.so

Kickass torrents is the (imho) best alternative site, until piratebay comes back on. I was surprised when I first found out.

Check out the timer now!  Shocked Seems it's counting the time TPB is down.
So excited... I'm guessing IsoHunt could be taking it over or something.

It's actually OpenBay (IsoHunt's project: http://openbay.isohunt.to/)
No IsoHunt is not involved in this.
Read: http://www.kitguru.net/channel/jon-martindale/the-pirate-bay-returns-with-popups/

Although I can't seem to access the site at the moment.

The videos have nothing hidden in them. They have been hosted by IsoHunt way before TPB was taken down.

The image is called aes.png
Found this with DuckDuckGo (pasted the hash).

Nothing special.

Alright, thought it meant something. There's some sound in it with webm file but chrome & ff won't let me unmute it.  Undecided Edit: Gotcha again nothing it's the bg.mp4 flie got excited for nothing hope it gets fully functional soon.

Now there seems to be some kind of hash on the site: JyO7wNzc8xht47QKWohfDVj6Sc2qH+X5tBCT+uetocIJcjQnp/2f1ViEBR+ty0Cz
Is that some sort of a magnet link?
Edit: It's not: unable to parse magnet URI!

Hey!

I know thepiratebay.se was taken down but I saw something interesting today.

Usually when I went to the site it never loaded, but today it loaded to a black screen.

When I took a look at the source, it had some isohunt source links, and adcash javascripts loaded.

Why is it back up?

TorrentFreak published an article about this yesterday: http://torrentfreak.com/pirate-bay-domain-back-online-waving-a-pirate-flag-141221.

It doesn't reveal a lot more though; according to the article, the pirate flag seems to be hosted by IsoHunt's Open Bay site, but there has been no official answer as to what is going on behind the scenes. Smiley

You might want to reload the page. I see a background video of a pirate flag. I checked the source and it does seem like there's some stuff from isohunt, but I can't say why.

This is all I am seeing.

I'm on Chrome, so maybe try that?

I think you need Flash to see it.

Im on the latest chrome.
Ah, my bad. I forgot my Chrome looks different than the default. The video runs fine for me, I hope someone can back me on this.

Not sure why its not working for me. Im running flash 16.0.0.

When I press "View Video in New Tab", it opens an mp4 file.

EDIT: Opened in Incognito and now it just shows a skull flag.
