I have not seen in FB or Mark Zuckerberg made an official announcement or advertisement that they now officially sell Libra token. This rumors of fake sales will destroy the company’s reputation if they will not take action in stopping it. I believe if there will be any news about their sales it should be announced in FB and other sister applications first.

Why do people keep coming up with scam strategies, why not channel same energy in bringing up a legit idea and enact something good instead. I have seen about three scam Libra token sale URLs, and people keep falling prey to these scammers, especially those who are not informed or who are reluctant to do research hence are easily carried away by scam.
If all people only manage to use their skills providing real projects and not to develop something that will harmed anyone and scammed others, but in real life there's always scammers who wanted to have a much quicker ways to earned, if they can create fake website in a short period of time then victims will lose their money as quicker as it is too, it's very important to always have a good research before dealing to anything.

Thus, fraudsters try to exploit rumours about Libra hysteria to benefit from ordinary people. Lay people who are new to cryptocurrency are interested in the Libra rumours and speculation of their success must be very interested in getting profits in a short time so that they are easily fooled without regard to risk and without doing any prior analysis.

I hope no one falls into this kind of fraud. Facebook must be alarm because of these circumstances and they must make things clear since a lot of people are joking around here in the cryptocurrency world. You won't have any problems with this if you are a part of this forum.
It is a good thing that the op quickly raised alarm over this, although I have never come across such a thing and I don’t know if the story is real or just assumption, but if it is real, people need to be extremely cautious of it, especially gullible people that can easily fall for things without them making research first to know of its genuiness. What usually get me angry about some of these social media that they are using their name to scam is that they keep quiet about it.

I remember that there was a time we all saw telegram campaign on this forum where everyone virtually participated in it, but at the end, they realized that it was scam, telegram never for once came out to make any statement in respect of it until many people got scammed through it.

A couple of weeks ago a well known exchange was doing an airdrop of libra and giveaway 80000 libra token i got 2 tokens, but i don't think it's real anyhow.

Can you provide us with information on which crypto exchanges are running Airdrop, I have seen fake libra tokens on ethereum networks https://etherscan.io/token/0x578d7a63bdd0fbd2123cc7b592994db91984b562 I think it's better if we do research before investing because scammers always take actions that can harm everyone

Scammers everywhere. As you get their moves, they invent another which becomes unsuspecting to the newbies and some unease investors which are not taken their time to view their prospective investments before investing.

People should be updated, Libra coin is not going to launch anymore, and people should spread this news, anyway if you are updated, you will not fall into this, but I guess it's quite too late for those who already invested early, sometimes you have to control your excited and always get the latest updates, to avoid something like this to happen, it's not going to be the last, scammers are always on the look for opportunity

Libra is the target of scamer because Facebook has a very great user. this is a target for them to commit fraud. we should not be fooled and wait for the official announcement.

It will stop now that Facebook has announced that Libra coin will not push through, because of the regulation that they cannot take, I guess people did not know this,  they kept posting about Libra coin although it will not materialize anymore.
It is difficult for the LIBRA to pass and appear. It will affect the economies of many countries around the world and change the entire cryptocurrency market. I myself hope it will not be passed because if it is approved. XRP, ETH .. and all altcoin may die

That is a very wrong view in my onion, how those the lunch of Libra result to the death of other alts if you care to be more elaborate? i guess you should understand what Libra entails before assuming the worst about countries economy, i don't know how a mare coin will affect countries economy, Libra will only be accepted by those who wants to just like rest of other crypto.

as far as I know the Facebook team has not officially released their tokens to the public, and if there is news that they have released it is certainly a scam. I've been thinking about this, while Facebook is a big company so it's no wonder that many scamers abuse their companies to cheat investors. always be careful with that

Wow I didnt thought it will also happen to them.
Although it is not new for us here in the forum, given how secured facebook is with malicious videos, pictures, authenticity and scams I do thought they can handle this.

Maybe, they didnt expect it too since they knew scammers will be scared with it.
They have the power of tracing people. Their facebook company can now use it properly. Grin

That will really be bad for Facebook, they have not even launch the coin, these is already happening, what will now happen when they launch it, there will be so many people that will be scammed using the fake version of the Libra coin to lure people into bringing their money out.

I am not sure that Facebook may even want to go on with this project because all they have been welcome with is hatred from those they even expect to form part of their community, if people are not willing to accept their technology, then I wonder who would really be using the project when it is being established, it is better they don’t waste much money on establishing projects that people may not accept. I think the United State is also going to fight them hard for them not to get established.

With the popularity of Facebook and also many investors who are interested in Libra Coin, this attracts many scammers to cheat new investors. Many in the telegram group circulated links about the sale of LIbra Coin but I better not believe before there was a statement from Facebook or the team itself

Anyone doing this really needs to be pity on. How can one make such Investment decision on a big project like this and the news isn't anywhere. Really this shows that there are many investors who still have a lot to learn in this space. Nevertheless have read a new on Facebook coin not going to happen again, still waiting to see how it plays out.
