Wonderful news, the price did not move much, but we seem to be getting into people's minds. (muhaha)

Great news, thanks for sharing !

Any price movement due to newbies from this show could not possibly have happened yet. The show was on Sunday night & today was a national holiday in the U.S., so tomorrow is the first day anyone new could even start the process of sending money to an exchange, after which it will take a few days before there money arrives and they can start buying bitcoins.

I'm surprised more people haven't made a big deal about Jim Kramer being on the show.

If any investors watched that show, you can bet they're curious, especially if they've heard of Bitcoin at least once prior to watching.

Right, the Wikipedia stats! Why didn't I think of this?

Impressive spike there, really. They mostly don't come to discuss it, but reading up on it seems to be mandatory. Nice. Smiley
The interesting thing is that the forum stats for the last day have been completely typical.

that doesn't surprise me.  forums are more for technically oriented ppl.  wikipedia or google makes perfect sense for a Good Wife watcher.

One gawker article made a bubble of $32. I'm sure The Good Wife has a much larger audience than that one gawker article. Smiley

well, Chuck Schumer saying "you can buy drugs with bitcoins" had a share of that run to $30 too Smiley

True, true. Though Chuck Schumer's audience is also pretty small, I hope. Tongue

66% increase in downloads... Not a whole hill of beans, but a lot of those "normal" downloads are probably people redownloading the client who already know about it.  The 66% increase is bound to be all people who have never touched Bitcoins before..!

I'm still shocked that so many people would be inclined to search "bit coin." though many of them won't likely buy any bitcoins or even get involved in the community, I still think that awareness will eventually get us some press.

I'm honestly shocked that that many people are searching Bitcoin after this.

The funny part is, the first thing they see when they find this forum and start browsing it is all of us talking about the TV show.  Tongue

Jason Biggs showed America what a webcam could do in American Pie (1999) why not trust him about BTC too?  Cheesy

Nice uptick in downloads: http://sourceforge.net/projects/bitcoin/files/stats/timeline

It's only 7 am in the Pacific timezone and today is already the best day this year for downloads
