If anything people are more patient than ever now since we are still deep inside the longest bear market anyone has ever seen in bitcoin.
And are you saying everyone expected a "mandatory price rise" back in the day but now it's different? How the hell does that make sense.... back in the "good old days" people weren't even sure if bitcoin would take off and get public recognition, they weren't even sure if bitcoin would be legal in the US, the overall investor and VC/startup activity was not anywhere near as close to what we have now. So how the hell are people more pessimistic now than they were back then?

bear market, aka shorters, isn't exactly synonymous with patience, if there was truly patience then the price would still be at half of it's peak, and waiting for the next pump to happen
and for the second point...simply because the price was much lower, even a puff, would have rised the bitcoin price, this is why i said it was mandatory, everyone was expecting it, now not everyone is expecting the rise

it will happen definitely(all the recents good news are telling that), but the question is, can you wait until then? even if it drop to sub 100? many will dump long before that, there is no patience here anymore, like in the good old days, where the rising was essentially mandatory and expected by anyone, fudsters/trollers/ and dumper included

I think it's almost certain we'll experience another ATH, it's not a matter of if but a matter of when imo.
Bitcoin is too useful to die, we're inching further forward every few months into mainstream acceptance/regulatory wise.
The NYC Bitlicense should give big players confidence in bitcoins legitimacy, once the Winklevoss's ETF & exchange gets approve it could be the spark that send us up.
I'm confident that bitcoin is an incredible investment, one day a single bitcoin will be worth upwards of 10,000 USD.
