We don't know for sure that it's really theymos who did gamble in that site. Judging from the image provided that theymos joined the site two years ago. I did think a way that we will be able to know if it's really the real theymos who gamble and lost huge amount of bitcoins is by asking theymos in here and wait for theymos to answer the question.
I don't believe that name is the person who we've know in the forum. Cause if that really he is, it surely he use another name to protect himself.
We know already theymos aren't exposed in any social media, thus engaging into gambling will never be his lifestyle.

What gambling site is this? He joined in 2017. It could be him if it is reputable gambling site that has a presence here on bitcointalk.
But a high profile admin, gambling under his forum name on another site, with lots of bitcoin is very unlikely though. It is like seeing Bill gate gambling in a popular physical casino.. . He will probably not do that. He will be conscious of company's stakeholders, investors, advertisers, media and users

I think this is not a big deal because anybody can gamble anytime. If this really is theymos then ok he gambles. If he is not then ok he is not. No big deal on it but I think he doesn't have the time to gamble because he is busy in the forum and in real life.

Lol, perhaps theymos playing gambling and I can't see anything wrong with it. Or someone using his name for gambling. But it will not make any difference on gambling result. So it doesn't make sense that someone will follow forum theymos name (for use on gambling). So username could be anything.

Theymos is popular name in bitcoin world and people are often making accounts on other sites by this name. I do not know if he is actually theymos or not but look at the amount which he wagered . 344 BTC

Agreed, he isn't the type of guy that will waste time playing gambling instead of working on some priority things. Also, if you were theymos, would you used your name to play gambling, I doubt it, a famous one will surely used a different name, it's a common thing. So I guess that one is just an imposter.
I can also create a name under Satoshi if I want. But that was unbelievable since I don't have that much bitcoin to bet on. Somehow, I doubt if Theymos really started to gamble now with risky bets. I mean, he is "Theymos", betting hastily is not his style. Except if he confirms it himself here. Actually, I just really felt bad that huge amount was eaten only by a gambling site. It's hard to assume that anyone who have a popular name like here in the forum or from another website is the same person on a different website. I mean it's possible for them to use the same name but you can't expect that it's always them.

True, Even if theymos gambles, he would not do so with theymos username. His association with this forum and r/bitcoin reddit page with the username theymos has caused him more trouble from many groups. Though he has been successful in being neutral and transparent on his actions he's been accused from both the US authorities and some users.

Theymos is a really busy person, i doubt he will answer your question We don't know who really that is since we can't conclude that that is theymos, this forum's asmin that quickly. Names can be used by anyone especially on the internet. It is like a decentralization of usernames and you don't know which is which. To be honest, I am shocked at that huge amount wagered, though I don't think that is really him.
