Well, it is important to remember that it is totally easy to get scammed in the cryptocurrency world. So, every beginner need to have some knowledge about security, how to keep their coins and money safely. I recommend you for example to listen what Grant Blaisdell (Coinfirm Co Founder) say about safety in cryptocurrency market:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83JnxuUUJ5o.

When we started crypto we are looking for things we need for crypto to get started
for me here are only things you need.

  • Small amount of bitcoin to get started
  • Crypto wallet
I would shorten this list to this.
Its because when they see how and how easy is to "send transfer" of btc, they will want to know more after.
They will want it on their own which is invaluable. Its hard to "force" someone to learn bitcoin.
Indeed, you dont need much in order to start doing things in crypto, you can start by those two things, having a wallet with cryptocurrency in it but it is much better to have bitcoin and then you can explore everything about crypto as you go through your journey here, experience is an important thing in crypto for it will make you better and also starting isn't the only thing that needs to happen you also should know how to maintain it.

Bitcoin = Financial freedom
^ the topic blockchain technology is too wide and its really not necessary for someone to start enters into cryptos, all they should know it is not under control of anyone and the transactions happening on blockchain will get verified on different nodes which ensure there is no possibility of hack or anything related to that.

But they should learn about why we need decentralized money to get convinced we should start using bitcoin or other cryptos.

If anyone wants to enter the cryptocurrency market, the first thing they should do is learn what blockchian technology is and what cryptocurrencies are.
Next, newbies should understand that the cryptocurrency market is highly profitable but also risky, so they should check carefully before deciding to invest in this market.
I will then introduce them to this topic:

This is a topic of knowledge for newbies.

i think the price of dogecoin is way more cheap than bitcoin now, and i dont think you will buy dogecoin now
Indeed, now I would use testnet.

My point was that one doesn't necessarily have to invest first into Bitcoin. That can come later, or not at all.
Bitcoin is not only an investment.

I also don't agree with the first point "Small amount of bitcoin to get started".

In my early days in crypto I played with Dogecoin. There are 2 great things about Dogecoin: it is very similar to Bitcoin and it's extremely cheap.

Now I know an even better option: testnet. Testnet coins are for free (you can easily google for working testnet faucets) and some of the well known Bitcoin wallets work with testnet (they need special parameters though).
The idea is: instead of investing money in order to get started with Bitcoin, one can start even for free.

Also it should be in the list: whenever in doubt search, especially at http://bitcoin.org/ and http://bitcointalk.org/ and if not found ask for help.

OWNR - Store all crypto in one app.

There's no need to have a small amount of Bitcoin to get started sometimes it's good if you earn it with your skills and the main thing you need is proper knowledge on how the bitcoins and crypto works, but your listing is good and people who want to starts should be more resourceful to search some credible information so that they will not fall on misleading investment options.

Many think that crypto trading is like a piece of cake and everyone can do that. But reality is totally different, you need to have proper knowledge or training before you start crypto trading else you wont make much here.
For new comers it is recommended to come with small money rather then jumping straight away with huge capital
Trading isn't easy and it will never be, it requires some effort and time. It's the mindsets of other people that they have to change because they will just end up feeling remorse. It's the reason why having enough understanding about trading can help and guide them on every decision and action they will be making. Also, they should acquire from their own experiences because it will make them stronger and wiser particularly when it comes to trading because it's speculative. They should also understand that there will be some struggles and challenges, it depends on them on how they will handle that risk and used it as an opportunity to be successful.

The @OP talking the total amount of the investment, not the price of coins/token.

I believe the first 1-3  step already mention with @OP, still pretty basic for me and according to my experience 70-80% all beginners know about this went they started to find a topic about bitcoin/cryptocurrency.

The problem, a lot of people thinking involving to bitcoin/cryptocurrency they can get rich in a short time. Because of that, they always falling into ponzi project, the ponzi project also really smarted focusing attract new user who has age around 50-70 old people went they have less ability about technology. The other steep already mentions from @OP, I believe it's still pretty hard for new corners.

The last two is very important, you need to prepare yourself for possible loss, sometimes emotions gets the best of us. If we are in loss sometimes it urge us to sell at loss, 5 or 10 % loss is fine but 80 or 90, not good, you need to be strong and HODL. You also need to learn how to distinguished scam and legits coins/tokens projects.

One more to add, slightly more tactical in its purpose...

People getting started with crypto need to buy some regularly, ever week. Forget about the price. Buy what you can afford (don't over do it). Just buy a little bit each week and in months or a year you'll be amazed what you'll have stashed away AND you'll be participating!

Regular, modest investments is how most people in humanity have amassed wealth. The principles always work and the only rule is it begins. You must start doing it and keep at it.

Good luck to all the new folks out there, we're happy you're with us!

totally agree, when I started in the world of cryptocurrencies, I started through aerial launches. I remember that even
That community paid me for doing homework and advertising. After its launch, I started in Trading, because that cryptocurrency fell. Therefore, you do not need to have btc, then start investing in any economic crypto and then get your BtC. And the most important thing is not to stop studying the crypts and all their technology.

You mentioned several good points in your topic, but in my opinion the most important key factors for beginners are:

1. Don't fall for scams. If it sounds too good to be true, it isnt. Nobody will ever give you free Bitcoins on Twitter or Telegram (e.g.: never ever send 1 ETH to get 10 ETH in return on Twitter. IT IS ALWAYS A SCAM.).

2. Store your coins/tokens safe on your OWN wallet. Dont leave them on exchanges. There is no guarantee that even the safest exchange isn't getting hacked.

3. Learn! Learn! Learn! Educate yourself in the field of crypto!

This is in my opinion but some people have their own, so feel free to share yours
Well it usally depends on the person investing actually. You can either complete all these stuffs but you should pay importance the most on some few things like setting your emotion ready for any possibilities, being knowledgeable enough of the things you need to learn while investing and focusing on your goal on becoming a successful investor. These shouldn't be left out or else your investment will surely crumble and you may end up losing money instead of gaining some.

You forgot to add patient, people are very hurried to get into so many things in Crypto because of FOMO because the market goes up and down they have an urge to be hurry to buy coins that they think will have potential without the right research and this will bring complication in the long run.

It takes some of the things needed to get people started with crypto but I don't think it needs a bit of bitcoin to work on crypto. First of all you need to have enough knowledge about crypto. If you know about crypto you can earn bitcoin yourself. So work hard and try to hold something so you can make money if the price goes up.

Buying bitcoin is the way people enter into the crypto so actually begin with nothing.
(...)
Exactly. Learning first about cryptocurrency would be the best option before owning/buying a few bitcoins or any other currencies. Because as we all know, cryptocurrencies are much volatile so, it's much riskier to a newbie after buying some cryptocurrency or bitcoin and volatility happens, like a huge massive dump, much stress on the newbie for sure.
But I think what OP wants to say is, some people become much interested in things that they own or they want to be own, so having them at first could help them to learn more about that thing and become more curious.

Be positive all the time only works for bitcoin IMHO, having a strong belief on altcoins and keep on holding them while the prices are falling are riskier though.
