I'm thinking of making an app of this forum. So it can be user friendly on mobile devices. Are you interested?

There is that too: https://smfmobileapp.com but it's a little pricy.

No one will use a 3rd party app for login in bitcointalk. The idea is not bad but the app should be developed by the forum admins. There is no grantee in the 3rd party apps that they may steal your username and passwords. No one should risk their credentials on such apps.
If anyone want to use bitcointalk on the mobile, they can still open it on an browser on the mobile and use it safely.

Would anyone be interested to risk their credentials of bitcointalk account? I guess no. Either way, I don't see any necessity of having an app at the moment. Moreover, shifting to an app could affect the current adveriding method (Not sure).
Anyway, if you are interested to build one, you can go ahead and some people will definitely praise you.

No offence to OP but based on how everyone is rightly concerned with their privacy and their login data, I doubt there would be many interested users.
Personally, I don't like mobile apps and wouldn't be interested in using one for Bitcointalk. Official or unofficial.

Yeah I've read the same idea before, just refer to the threads above given by @Lucius so you can read the discussion there.

Anyways, the idea is still up since we don't have that 'yet', as for @logfiles the new forum software is nearing completion, where'd you get this information?

And I'm sure if we got a mobile app for bitcointalk, it won't be used by the PC user, it is easier to browse read and post in a computer or laptop.

It would be really advisable to try to find out if the same topics already exist before opening new topics, and you can do that by using forum search option. Specifically, so much has already been written about the bitcointalk mobile app, and here are just some of the examples from the recent and slightly distant past.

I don't take risk to log in my account on mobile.

Mobile typing pratices are aweful, I don't want to type long posts on mobile. Insert links, topic titles and creating list are aweful too.

App on mobile can not solve the core problem when we as human type texts on mobile. For usecases like read-only or short-post typing, browsers on mobile are good enough for me.

What difference would it have from the browsers we are using? Adding few features like Mention Notifications, Message Notifications and other important notifications might make it stand out from the previously developed apps. Looking forward to it, once you do mention me on your launch.

Looking forward. Try to make one and will used it here. Maybe its not official but who knows maybe it will be like by users here. As long as its safe and will not compromised accounts.

Testing of the New forum software is nearing completion, so I don't think it would be necessary to have a bitcointalk app based on SMF software. From what I have seen, members also prefer if the App has been Officially developed by the forum team, so your app might not be popular.
There are other who tried it before but I dont think its efficient. Will the app based on SMF software be available on Playstore or Apple Store? I am curious too what would it look likes and its difference on our current browser type.
