Thirdcoin should have a testnet.

Oh, and the release is creeping closer: 2016-11-11 03:48:43 UTC.  Guess I better get to coding.

you had me at triangular coin.

We could call it the Ninji, or the Triganic Pu.

But so far, I prefer ThirdCoin.

I must say, you seem to have taken seriously the demand to annouce new coins early enough. This should be early enough.  Grin

I'm tentatively calling this coin Thirdcoin, Bitcoin itself being "Firstcoin" and Bytecoin being "Secondcoin."  I might be interested in suggestions for new names, although I've always liked the idea of a triangular coin.

IMHO FourthCoin, because i think Namecoin was before Bytecoin..

So when will someone invent a way to sell and trade a universal coin which can use any currency at it's value, or a wallet, that If I wanna pay someone XX USD it'll send what ever coin's needed?

Your description is a little bit blurry, but if get you right you want a kind of "Metacoin" that automatically selects the equivalent to XX USD for any given coin and then sends it off? This is like 20 lines of Code...

Do we not have enough alt coins already? 90% of which will flop

No. Each coin contributes to the evolution of cryptocurrency, even if it is only by its utter failure to do anything. Now we know about FTC and CHN and can spot a similar idea and what makes it fail (FTC difficulty too high and never going to retarget, CHN, well...). This means that new coins may not make the same mistakes.

We're testing ways of launching ("NEW COIN NOW, QUICK MINE NOW!" to "I have this idea, and I'm going to build a coin to test it"). We've seen what launching does to pre-mines and non-premines, we've explored what it would take to build GPU-resistant SCrypt coins, we've had a ton of plain old fun.

This is evolution. They're not scams any more than fish or H1N5 are scams of biological evolution. They may survive or they may die, but they've taught us something that will strengthen cryptocurrencies as a whole.

Here are some additional thoughts:

If it's going to be that late, the altcurrencry will be dead.

I don't think the Bitcoin hype will continue so far down the road.

Most of them will flop long before ThirdCoin is available. Smiley
