In December 2017, He maybe said "I lost my Lambo".
In August 2018, He maybe say "Oh I lost my half of Lambo"

Perhaps this guy was more fortunate than a guy named James Howells, a guy who earned himself 7,500 Bitcoins in 2009 when they were almost worthless. By 2013, a Bitcoin worth £ 613, or 7500 bc, will give Howells about £ 5 million. Equivalent to more than 110 billion. However, one day Howells threw away a hard drive containing information about the bitcoin 7500 - which is worth a lot of assets.

This is not very cool, since even such a small amount of bitcoins are lost forever to the whole world. If he does not find this file, then everything is lost. That's why you should always keep everything in a safe place and keep your key in safe.

very sorry for this person, since this is a very large amount, but the bottom line is that this will be a great experience for the future, and if he correctly understands this sad lesson, then such situations will no longer be.

it truly is how hardware wallets are the nice choice to keep your virtual property in place of the software pockets. there'sno way to recover it from the landfill because the ground is very big in size and there may be no guarantee that the toughdisk could be in a really perfect scenario even supposing the person is attempting all the effort to find that tough disk. in any case, Crypto is all about self responsibility and whoever is answerable for his personal moves.

It is amazing how one can lose such an amount of money. Maybe, he had no idea what that was back then and so handled it anyhow. I dont think anyone will lose his btc through this means currently

This guy has lost 103 bitcoins he mined back in 2011 and then lost his wallet dat file similar to what I have done but wow this guy must be gutted the amount of money he has lost compared to me

His Address    166BuLPWHUjqoqiYp5rGE3B5r5AmqgHpoL    Final Balance   103.20832384 BTC

So many people have the same problem and I wonder just how much Bitcoin is stuck not being able to be used Sad

He says "I used to mine Bitcoin back in 2011 and I lost my wallet.dat file (through several stupid moves on my part). It's got approx 103 BTC in it, anyone is welcome to it, I've given up trying."

If 103 Bitcoins are sold at current prices, I would and you will be surprised, but by the year 2011 bitcoin prices are not as expensive now.
If you can not find all the bitcoins that have been lost, you must learn to give up, so you do not stress and focus yourself back to the bitcoin of the future.

way back 2011 bitcoin's price was not that high so he probably gave up on life after what happened. From that year up to this year, we have seen the rise of bitcoin in terms of its price and he should have been extremely rich by now if he had that amount until now. I wonder what will happen to those, or is there a way to recover that?

Lesson learn is that we have to be ascertain in choosing or clicking unforgiving decisions here at bitcoin. Bcause not everybody deserves a second chance just a hangonv thought so that everyone can phantom. Most probably, by choosing bitcoin means a lot of reading and stuffs, internal analysis to make your next move. I also pity myself on giving my eth address in a signature campaign before and got coin accumulation. There were lots of easy hacker in this place aiming for them to succeed.

My best advice and best choice for storing bitcoin or whatever crypto currency is hardware wallet. (But you need to safe guard your recovery keys)
But if you are smart enough you can depend on exchanges and desktop wallets also. I mean you can divide the total amount into separate parts and store them in different exchanges and desktop wallets where it becomes reduce risk of getting hack and loss whole portion

This is the most common problem of people who holds big amount of bitcoin and just use a not so protective wallet. I think the best way to protect your bitcoin is to use a very protective wallet or softwares available online. There are many wallet out there that can be also used to recover lost bitcoins. I hope that he will get what he lost.

Wow! That was too many bitcoin. There are some software that recover files on a hard drive. That was a huge amount of money. Hopefully he could recover the file.

Yeah, this is what I am thinking too, there is available software that can recover deleted files but the question is, is the hard drive still working or already broken? Hope that guy can recover again his lost wallet.dat
