This is very surprising, i mean how is he going to bear this big lost. please the rest of us has to be careful in how we keep the details of our wallet, at least share it with your wife/husband or your child so that they can help when we are lost, this is too big to loose
This guy has lost 103 bitcoins he mined back in 2011 and then lost his wallet dat file similar to what I have done but wow this guy must be gutted the amount of money he has lost compared to me

Wow, he has actually 103 Bitcoin in his wallet. He must be really disappointed with losing his wallet.dat. I wish he gets it soon as possible back but that is nearly impossible.

Maybe because he not get too hurrry because he wanted to used it in the future or maybe h want to invest it in something he wants. damn, the 103 bitcoin is almost $1 Million, wow it just he lost his .dat file for t\your bitcoin wallet, damn i know that feeling, lost the simple part to gove you the big part, i think that bitcoin will don't go anywhere, it will be in that address forever until the owner found the .dat file to open that wallet and save the bitcoin from that address.

Unbelievable 103 bitcoin I hate this person. I think this guy is careless or don’t believe the bitcoin can reach the moon. Why this person doesn’t secure his bitcoin first. Losing 103 bitcoin too hard to think it will take a long year before you to move on. As holder and trader of the bitcoin, we should learn his mistake. Every one of us has a chance to lose. these cases is the reason for increments of bitcoin value every year. bitcoin demands keep increasing. but in other hand, bitcoin circulation supply may decreased because peoples lost their wallet.
Man, I don't know if I could come back from that... 103 coins. That is brutal.
It is best for the other bitcoin users to take that story as a lesson, if i were that guy then i might be thinking about suicide because that costs a lot of money and that is not like 0.01 bitcoin only because it is 103 bitcoins which can give you a lot of things and capability in life but that guy should just keep moving forward and maybe in the future he can earn more than that.
Its hard to move on if I were to have this kind experience myself.. totally devastating..so discouraging..but then life must go on.. and and keep trying even do we sometimes fail.. good thing is we still have the chance to do do better this time..to keep it more secure and to try harder to earn in order to make up for what was loss.

i suspect even more have been lost. if satoshi was Hal as many of us wonder it's highly possible his family destroyed a good deal of the original holdings or did not know where they were etc. we know some were left to his kids but with the hell that family went through it seems highly likely they sold all or nearly all by now. i would be shocked if they have more than 100 hidden away. just an enormous amount of coins were mined 2009-2011 and the value was very very low. lost copies, bricked computers, lazy people, the list goes on. i would not be the least bit surprised to find out the maximum coin number is closer to 15 million
it's a huge value. Maybe if it happened to me then I would be frustrated and lose hope on bitcoin. As he says that he has given up. Somehow it can happen and lose his wallet.dat, he's a disadvantaged person. If calculated 103 btc it's a lot of value and can be a new rich man.
In those days, 103 bitcoins was just like today few satoshies, it wasn't even up to 200 USD so no one will be worried of losing such amount. But about 7 years down the line is almost a big money now and any one with that wallet will be hitting his head onto the wall.
It's a terribly sad story, to know that you own such a huge amount of money, but not to have access to it. Is it really impossible to get access to your wallet again?
You have a lot of money in a wallet and you don't have an access to it ? It means that you don't have those money or those money aren't yours dude. It's impossible to recover them if you didn't have an access to it, i'm so sorry for you.
It's a terribly sad story, to know that you own such a huge amount of money, but not to have access to it. Is it really impossible to get access to your wallet again?
the private key (and the like) is very important in the technology of the blockchain. all your assets will be lost if you lose the private key. so, do not be careless.
This guy just has a very bad experience with bitcoin. But this can serve as a lesson to all inattentive-keep all your keys and passwords to your wallet, email, etc.you never know exactly what you will need again in the future.

It says up to 4 million. So that guy who lost his 103 is another statistics. Really just sad though to see someone lost a lot of money because they either don't believed that bitcoin will skyrocketed or they are just plain stupid and not backing up everything and literally throw their money away.
Can you share more about the story though? Is this a new story or an old one because we have seen a lot of people losing their bitcoins. If will be really good if you can give us a link or something.
when you realize the desire is not in line with reality, maybe the dream he has been destroyed but whether it may not be recoverable again? I'm sure some systems can be recovered as long as there are technicians who can handle it. especially this is lost with a very high price
