I don't blame her because in some circles it's marketed in this way.. You can imagine if you use any of these meta products like Instagram or Facebook you find people claiming to grow your money double or 1000 times and they have been made to believe that's how easy it is to find money when everyone knows that money has to be scarce as one of its properties.

people make dumb mistakes like that because well, they are dumb, no question.
People might seem to be making dumb moves but they could be the smart ones only trying to play dumb.

It looks naturally easy to scam her, but even if you do she might not fall for it if she is smart. She is just curious and not everybody is negatively minded about things in life, you are taught by someone, and it won't be bad to share the knowledge with someone else.

people make dumb mistakes like that because well, they are dumb, no question. But that doesn't warrant you putting them on the spotlight for some weird post to gain clout in this forum. Although I do not think that is your intention really. In any case, scams don't cater to everyone, they have their specific target demographics, and would only ever work for that specific set of people. That's why us, the Nigerian Prince scam is a laughingstock, but for others, they see it as a ticket to a destiny-changing opportunity, only for the small amount of a couple thousand dollars. Scams work because there are people who are gullible. How to fix this? information. Proper information provided by the authority or whoever is really generous to spare time and effort in the case of crypto world is what we need to eradicate people's ignorance and therefore stop scammers from scamming as well.

No scammer if no one could be scammed.

I have a similar story. For almost a week someone has been writing to my telegram and offering to invest in some project at crazy interest and promising huge profits.I understand that this is a 100% scam but let's imagine how many people fall for this trick and how many scammers manage to make money on it.
they do this with no despair and they also know that many already know the tricks and ways to do it. Of the many ways of fraud, it is certain that investment offers in new projects with high interest incentives are highly sought after and are excellent.
although it must be admitted that this method of fraud is already known and many already understand. but it must be remembered that of the thousands who read and are sent scam news, of course, we hope that someone will be tempted and willing to accept what they want. of course they only target not many people who can be deceived, because there are indeed many who are literate and know how.
even though there is only one person who can be fooled a day, in terms of quality, of course they really hope to earn big, remember they don't want to stop doing tricks like that, as long as there are still lots of people can be deceived.
why at any time there are still people who can be deceived and they usually don't want to read a lot of information circulating.

Whatever the reason, you should always exercise caution while communicating with someone online because there are numerous frauds operating that use a variety of techniques you might not even be aware of. There are still a lot of beginners who fall victim for this kind of tactics but I don’t seem to understand where the scamming is coming from the coversation. Thus, always be on the lookout and inquire from reliable sources as to whether they are legitimate or scam tactics.

Looks like she/he doesn't know much about bitcoin or he is just acting dumb. But I don't see any point asking a stranger on Instagram about bitcoin investment or for any financial advice unless she has other intentions.

From my point of view, she thought you are a newbie and she tried to scam you. So I think you need to be more careful about your social media life.

i sometime think why people do this type of dumb mistakes , now i knew there knowledge about technology ,
they just come to make money and get scammed.
ignore my terrible english
This is one of scammers at least track or get information on potential victims. let alone us who deliberately show our involvement in Bitcoin, they sometimes just do random things and find our accounts. And this is an old mode which may still work in some people. One way is to make the victim believe what he says, promising really interesting and extraordinary results. And of course, for people who don't understand or are inexperienced, it's really tempting and easily attracted. This is the danger in the world of cybercrimes where scammers or hackers can easily influence people to believe in them with false promises about money.

There are quite a few scams going on through social media, ranging from signing up on fake exchanges to social engineering you into sending them your coins after luring you and registering on a valid exchange such as Binance, making the scam look legit. Anyone who contacts you through social media and promises to teach you their money-making method with excessive returns is pretty much a scam. Don't reply to any message and report their profiles; it won't stop them, but it might at least slow them down.

Somehow I doubt that a person with a binance account to be stupid, the process to which you need to go through in order to be able to trade at binance is with some complication that not any ordinary individual is capable of handling it. Moreover I fail to see any gullibility here.

The third link to an image of the conversation is the same as the first one. There’s either one more image than there should be, or the third link points to the wrong image.

Who said the following ?
Quote
Let me send you her iG so that you see if if she is genuine because she said she help people win after investing then she takes 10 percent

The while text bubbles seems to be her and the grey yours, but the screen capture indicates that the grey corresponds to "replied to you", which would make the grey text bubbles hers.

Either way, it’s pretty clear where that is heading to …

the grey is like how we make reply of that specific message by holding on that text than options comes copy reply delete
so taping reply it becomes grey
hope your doubt will be clear

Op, she's not a newbie it's either she's trying to look for an opportunity to invite you to a pump and dumb group chat where they can make money of you when you truly buy whatever coin they might predict the price but the way the conversation went it seems like she was truly a newbie but I'm suspecting that she has an ulterior motive behind her Convo because it's quite rare to see someone message you just because you have Bitcoin logo on your profile pics and truly wants to learn more about Bitcoin.

But Op one thing you should take note of; no matter how amateur they may sound please try as much as possible not to click any link sent to you or maybe she ask you to download some file that contains a problem she's currently trying to fix or what word she might use to mask it. Don't click, don't be cocky and then you do something stupid make sure you're very cautious because you can not tell what's going through some random strangers mind.

nice advice,
newbie should avoid this mistake
to do something unusual a link is enough for them
many threads are there in gambling and fraud section of this forum, there lot of threads are discussed like i clicked the link and my funds are gone

I heard a lot of stories about people being scammed in crypto, and all of them are newbies or didn't even have it until they saw a big "opportunity". To be honest, it amazes me how people can be so naive, even tho they can be older than me. It's not about crypto knowledge, it's about goddamn common sense.

The user is just acting like he is a complete newbie to fool you to recruit for his so called mentor service which we all know that lead to scam. This scam scheme is old  but still widely use on social media especially on comment section. They are everywhere and newbie will really fall for it if they don’t have any experience or not aware on how this scammer work.

I read a post on social media that he became a victim of this scheme. Scammer will ask you to fund your trading account which they are the one who will provide and trade for you. They will show you profit at first then they will keep asking you for more  before you can withdraw until you don’t have enough cash they disappear instantly. This is an obvious scam but still there are a lot of newbie out there that being scammed by this poor scam trick.

i uploaded an awesome bitcoin profile picture on instagram, 3 days ago,
but today a lady contacted me by Dm "hi" - "you know about bitcoin?" - "I am new to bitcoin", "can you guide me to make money from it "
she don't want to learn anything just wanted to make money out of bitcoin

You also needs to be careful because nowadays scammers are using this kind of technique to decieve people and eventually ended up scamming them, when tou first receives a mail or DM from unknown sources it's a call to be at alert and be careful, you may be tricked and set up, also being a newbie in this category that all you do is to find anything attractive and doubtlessly got into it without proper orientation is a perfect submission to getting scammed, newbies should be aware that it's very risky in making deals with unfamiliar persons or organizations, those you just meet on the social media and got feelings for, they may turn to be what you never expect tomorrow.

I understand OP is trying to explain how easy it is to scam people using the woman as an example. Looking at his explanation in both sides, we can't clearly state who will become the victim. It could be OP or the shiller claiming to be a novice. Op's topic is still in line, because a person who is not experienced may fall for the shiller's con by joining the other account where they'll be ripped off their money. On the other flip, if the woman wasn't a shiller but genuine seeker of what bitcoin is about, Op is trying to inform us how easily she could get scammed. We are all in the cryptocurrency niche together and when we spot a scam we'll know, yet others may not be opportune to detect a fishy investment conversations that's where people perish because they lack information.

I understand what you meant and it is possible this might be the case, but after reading Op, I think I can guess what scenario actually happened.
The woman is a novice following someone's advice and directions, but at a time she wasn't too comfortable with her mentor and she decided to contact random people to seek their opinion if it really agrees or differs from what her teacher teaches her to do.
But in all, this could be leading to scam. Be careful dealing with random people on the internet

But basically, when you first want to know how to get bitcoins, someone will always ask anyone, even if we randomly know them, because maybe they don't know who to ask to tell them.
Yes, even though this condition is prone to fraud, when you meet someone who is honest and willing to help, he will be a lucky person.
Yes, even though today there are lots of tutorials on YouTube or other social media that can be used as guides, sometimes we are confused by the explanations of content creators.

I hope you don't trick him Wink
