  • I really wanted to know about cryptocurrency but I was not really able to find such a good place and finally I found this forum so I joined this forum.I created an account on bitcointalk forum yesterday I have been wanting to join this forum for a long time but I didn't want to create an account without knowing anything about this forum so I spent the last few months roaming around different sections of this forum trying to learn about this forum finally when  I got the idea about this forum and didn't decide if I would create an account so I created an account
This is much better because you know the first place to go before getting to know the forum further in other sub-discussions. I'm also happy to see you arrange your words so neatly in the first post because I myself wasn't that good at the beginning of getting to know this foeum. All you need to do is read because the more you learn, the more knowledge you gain. But the most important thing is to learn something that is easy to understand and increase consistency from the start and lastly, don't rush because there is still a lot of time for you to develop.

The rules remain a guide and do not need to be broken because in fact these rules will lead you to much better knowledge. Make posts that have discussion value because when the discussion you are trying to describe is interesting then many people will be involved in the discussion so it will be seen that you have worked hard to perfect your knowledge of the discussion.

As long as posts are informative and informative, those who post excessively long and inappropriate posts will leave many confused and vulnerable. So no matter how many words you want to insert, if the post is long, the quality of the post will not be good. It would be best if you summarized your information. We keep the main part of the post at the top of the discussion and post in a way that does not disturb the rest of the reading and use good quality English.

Nice one that you find some links to read to know more about the rules of Bitcointalk.org and, I will advise you to look for your local board which is another easiest way some newbies use to catch up with cryptocurrency knowledge because they will use all their local languages to ensure you know what BTC and crypto is all about.

You can also be looking and reading some legendary post and comments too in this forum which you can also take some impact from their write up because, they have acquired the skills to give respond to any kind of questions be asked concerning cryptocurrency in the community.

Maybe this is your first post, but your writing doesn't look at all like a beginner joining the forum. The time you have spent the last few months exploring various parts of this forum has slowly increased your knowledge starting from posting styles and vocabulary used in posts, only the use of the word forum is too dominant in this topic. The Bitcointalk forum has rules that you must always obey and try to avoid all prohibitions in order to protect your account from any accusations or worst case scenario, it could be banned.

Other forum members are always open to welcoming newcomers, they always provide space for anyone who wants to learn by directing them to several useful topics. The beginning of your journey has just begun through this forum, keep trying to spend time here to broaden your horizons in the future so you can get many benefits from the Bitcoin industry.

Welcome to the forum. If you really want to share the link to other newbies like you then you should delete or remove the BBcode that you added on your post so that they can click the link and redirected to the thread instead of being redirected to a thread that theymos created although it's not wrong for newbies to know why some threads or posts getting deleted and theymos explained it in that thread. It's good that you make some research instead of not doing any research at all. Good luck on your journey here in the forum.

We have been having an increase in topics created by newbies asking almost similar questions. I suspect that the Bitcoin ETF and the upcoming halving are attracting people to the forum. OP it is great to know that you have gotten so much information about the forum before opening an account. This means that you have started getting foundational knowledge of Bitcoin and how the forum works. Nevertheless, I will encourage you to keep learning and contribute meaningfully to the forum. Always use the search option before starting a thread because this forum has many materials on almost everything about the Bitcoin and altcoins world. If you are interested in learning, you will find this forum very helpful.

Welcome to the forum and from your first post it looks like you’ve navigated the forum and has made you know the rules and regulations guiding here. Like any other forum or organizations, when rules set aside are not broken by the workers or members there, everything will go smoothly for them but when they transgress and do beyond which they’re not supposed to do, they get penalized for it or get ejected from the place.

The rules here are very simple and since you’ve highlighted some basic links that are useful to beginners in the forum, you won’t have a problem while in the forum. Being criticised is part of the learning process here, learn from it to help you grow better in the forum.

My man, when you make posts like the one from which I snipped those phrases you're just blabbering away, and frankly you're not off to a good start.  If you've got something to say and presumably aren't proficient in English, just keep it concise and to the point.  Too many members write rambling, boring posts and think that the more words you can stuff into them, the better they are.  That isn't true; taking that route will guarantee nobody will read what you've written.

Also, I know this is B&H but as for the rest of your post....you're stating a lot of obvious things to members who've been here only a few months, and basic common sense things that don't need to be stated.  Rethink your strategy.[/list]

I love topics like this, because one day you will look back to this day and could love your first post or laugh at how silly you were. Once in a while I do visit my first post in this forum and laugh at it. Although, it was a logical post but then, that wasn't a type of post that a new commer should make. For your own case, it is different of course because your post is simple and not provoking anyone.
Welcome to the forum, and my advice is that you should continue to learn about bitcoin and even advance the more. This is because this could be the early morning of cryptocurrency. More things could unfold in the future and by then you must have placed yourself very well in the industry.

You’re welcome, life_saving.
But you said you have been on this forum for a month and you are observing each section of the forum? How does this seem to be the truth from your ends? Because the last time I checked, someone who has been here for months will not create something like this. I think you are supposed to know the kind of content we need here, not low-quality posts like this one. You need merit, which cannot be acquired this way. If you have been here for a long time now, you should know that. If you want the community members to reward you for creating something meaningful, educational, and helpful to other colleagues, and you see tonnes of merit, that means your effort deserves to be merited. But all this fishing merit will not help. And none of the other forum members will be convinced by this post, man, so you think you should calm down and create something tangible so that we reward it.

Don’t hesitate to ask any questions you don’t understand on any aspect of bitcoin. The forum members are always active to help the newcomers, although I can’t say you are a newbie or newcomer to the forum anymore since you stated that you were before, so the rules are simple: you will not be the one to choose for your. I wish you the best of luck in your learning process while operating on the forum.

Snip

I guess we need to accept people the way they really are, this is just a newbie trying to make his projections on how he felt about the forum and the way he expects more from the large community, using the word forum repeatedly isn't what someone who is a newbie can afford to do without just as he was trying to express himself, all you could see was the traces all over him for being a newbie, maybe with time, he could grow more thicker skin and learn more on how to post without using repeated words and the likes, let's hope he change with time.

In my experience, this is what people say when they do not want to be accused of being alt accounts. It’s not common to see newbies who are able to use forum BBcodes.

In these few days it is not possible to know everything about the forum, so I made the first post here so that I can learn more about the forum from the old members of the forum. I hope the old members of the forum will help me.
I thought you said you have been studying the forum for months. From the links you shared, it shows that you have read the sticky threads and are now familiar with the forum rules. I will add this thread to your reading list;

I have tried to read all these rules. Apart from this, if there is anything else I need to know, I am new to the forum, so old brothers please help me if I need to know anything else in the forum.  to survive
Yeah, you should tone down the merit fishing as your initial post reeks of it. Just take your time to figure things out and get involved in genuine conversations instead going for merit right off the bat, and what's even worse you are pretty bad at it.

Welcome to the forum mate and congratulations for finding this forum, firstly you are new so you are the one doing the learning, I think if genuinely you are new here you actually don't need to post the links to what you have read. And if you have actually read the rules then I expect you to follow the rules you have read.
Also check out the pinned messages on boards this would also help you to have a good understanding before you post. Take your time and don't pressure yourself into making mistakes.

Dude, are you trying to win a prize for the most times you can say the word in a single conversation? I'm starting to think you're developing an unhealthy obsession with the forum. Cheesy

  • One thing I have realized after wandering around this forum for the past few months is that there is a lot to know about this forum so for those who want to know about cryptocurrency I think this forum is the biggest forum in the world. In these few days it is not possible to know everything about the forum, so I made the first post here so that I can learn more about the forum from the old members of the forum. I hope the old members of the forum will help me.

Your post is like a lie.

Because you said you spent months (from months to few days) to read around many sections. And yesterday created the account without or very little knowledge about the forum.

You don't need to create this topic because you want to learn. Read sticky threads in Beginners & Help board will help you learn many things.

Every place you visit always has rules and you must always avoid the applicable rules in order to maintain your comfort and continuity while on the forum. If you want to expand your knowledge about Bitcoin and other crypto assets, this is the place. There is a lot of knowledge here that can help you gain specific insight into Bitcoin, you can also share useful information or knowledge with other users. Don't be embarrassed to ask about something you haven't mastered, other members will help you provide answers to make it easier to understand something you haven't mastered so far.

Most of the users in this forum are very helpful because there is no end to learning here everyone is helping everyone someone is benefiting someone or the other. I am new to this forum so I will follow your advice if I need to know anything I will definitely post on this forum and if I know anything I will try to let everyone know.

As long as you don't break these rules, you will remain on this forum and enjoy it's benefits. Bitcointalk is as wonderful as you have said so make sure to take your time and explore more subsession on the forum. Learning should be your major objective for now.  Once again, welcome to BITCOINTALK.

thank you brother....

Cryptocurrency is a huge platform but I am very happy to be associated with such a forum as there is a lot to learn from here.

It's good to know that there are still some newbies out there whom take it upon them self to do research and study on their own. From what you've said here and the links you said to have studied, it shows that you won't be having much of a hard time, navigating the forum. All the links you highlighted are very important for every new person joining Bitcointalk and willing to stay here for long.

Just as you've said here, the forum rules are not to be broken. But theres just one thing I want to correct here.
Quote
If I don't follow the rules, my account may be lost, so if I want to stay in the forum, I must follow the rules of the forum.

Yes, there are consequences when you break any of the rules on Bitcointalk, but your account cannot be lost. Loosing your account simply means that you lost access to it, probably due to hacking or using an invalid email upon registration(you can reset password if forgotten).

What happens to your account when you break the rules is that you get either temporary or permanent ban from the forum. Again you may be given negative tags from members who found you guilty of some offense or find your post spamming and unuseful.

As long as you don't break these rules, you will remain on this forum and enjoy it's benefits. Bitcointalk is as wonderful as you have said so make sure to take your time and explore more subsession on the forum. Learning should be your major objective for now.  Once again, welcome to BITCOINTALK.
