Op is much confused of the selling price. It's the mindset you have got, after few days even when price increase doesn't happen your minds tends to sell once after a price pumping. So to avoid such situation it's good to sell by fixing a target price by which selling needs to be done unlike giving consideration to price move.

As you've seen, cashing out profits in fiat currencies is foolish. Keep your profits in Bitcoin.

If you have to spend your bitcoins to buy fiat currencies to buy goods or services, wait until the last moment to do so.

Selling is for fools.

Any time I go to sell my bitcoins the price goes up another 10 or 20 or 40%. So I never sell. Then they go up another 20%-40% and I still never sell. This is ridiculous! How am I supposed to sell a currency that's constantly going up in price? I've become the cheapest person in the world now thanks to bitcoins. I don't know how much more of this price increasing I can take. Bitcoins just don't work at all like fiat does. Not even close...
And why you are complaining? You are getting richer by the minute and you are complaining, accept is as fact and move on, besides it is not like bitcoin is the only one affected by this litecoin won a lot of value on the previous weeks as well so it is not like bitcoin is alone in this.

Don't blame yourself for not knowing what a good time is to cash out profits. In most cases it will depend on how much profit you have on paper. If you at current levels have made like 30-50% profits on paper, then it would be a decent moment to cash out some of your profits. Important is that you should never cash out everything at once. If you cash out profits, then do it in smaller batches. I always cash out like 10% of my profits at most. In certain extreme situations as now, I cashed out 15%, but that's really it. By cashing out smaller batches you don't miss out on further gains, and you will also benefit if the price happens to go down, as that will allow you to buy back at discount rates.
