You think he is going to go back to BTC again? Tesla is still holding those bitcoin. If the price crashes further, wouldn't that cause more trouble for tesla? Tesla is already in trouble. Their stock crashed and I have heard investors lost around $120 billion USD. China started to go against Tesla (put some sort of ban). Few weeks ago, they were even facing some logistic problems. Musk may create hype for Doge, but I doubt he is manipulating the BTC market.
And what if he is serious about doge?

I was in Elon's game also and profited from this game.

Of course, of course, you were the chosen one that was not gifting money to Elon but making profits!
Oh, wait, does that mean you were also one of those that took the 100$ apple for all the people and leaving them in debt?
Proud of yourself?
Maybe the start wasn't nice but... Personally, I sold at 60K (14 April), then bought 30% at 43K  (May 18), then bought another 30% at 37K and then collected some BNB at 297 (had automatically set 1 month ago).
So, I can say that I amn't the one who donated $100 to Elon.

So, now you understand the point?

No, because there was no point for anything like this.
Once you're calling people stupid to fall for this trap the only way to prove you're the one who people should listen to would have been to make this topic BEFORE this happened, but as I said, at that time you were too caught in your amazement at how Elon Musk succeed and how charismatic and intelligent he was to ring any alarm bells.
Said something like that on May 17: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.57039259

Isn't it stupid that people support Dogecoin? Or isn't it stupid when you believe that Elon Musk will make you rich and you don't analyze that this person only cares about himself and in reality doesn't care about you? If you follow his game and then blame him because of loss, you are stupid. We humans like when we blame others for our failure and that's not correct. I don't call stupid to bitcoin supporters, I call it the ones who blame Elon for financial losses.

Isn't it stupid when reddit guy sells his house and invests money in BTC at 60K and the second day he blames Elon for his financial loss?

Also, I am not telling anyone to follow me. It just makes me sad what's happening around crypto and stated my opinion.

First of all, chill dude Smiley Don't be so aggressive and also try to better understand what's the point of the text.

You were telling us all that we were getting f* by Elon then bj him to the 9th heaven, that he was swindling us and we were stupid in gifting his money, you called everyone stupid and you're telling me to chill? How about you get off your high throne, your majesty?

I was in Elon's game also and profited from this game.

The dude played a lot of people like a fiddle, especially in the dogecoin scene wherein everyone on twitter hails him as the "dogefather" which in itself is cringy and egotistic. It will not take long before his influence on the market wanes, just like what happened to McAfee who fell into obscurity after the market decided they have had enough of his BS.

Going back to Elon, you have to give credit to his charisma, though, as he was able to single-handedly make a lot of people believe in the "power" of a coin that rarely receives any updates at all in current times.

I agree that it is wrong to blame others on our personal financial loss since they aren't the one who invested it,
It was all our decision so if those who loss a lot because of following him you should blame yourself on believing and trusting him.
It was all about profit right from the start just like most of the people in crypto so you should also learn when to quit and take profit,
It has and always would be that way in investment don't stay on dreaming that it would fly and always stay up,
There would always be a time that it would fall down because the investors are taking their profit or even their capital.

In overall, you all gifted $100 to Elon Musk. That's all!

And you didn't gift him because you knew all this from the start as you were kissing also Elon's ass when he was praising bitcoin, remember how many of those you made, sanctifying him and now suddenly you're calling all of us stupid!
Besides, as all great revelations from people who want to act like they've discovered the greatest reptilian conspiracy of our age you're missing one tiny detail:

Again i.e. he bought from you at X price, then sold you at 2X price b]

How did the price grow to double figures? Oh, because of him! But that's a thing you don't want to admit, right?
If it weren't for Elon, there would have been no decline as there would have been no growth, and that's something that doesn't fit you I know everything theory, isn't it? There are a lot of heroes coming out of their bunkers 20 years after the war has finished...

I was in Elon's game also and profited from this game. I said that it's very wrong to blame Elon for your financial losses (if any). The sad fact here is Elon's cult. A lot of people started investing in something they had no idea about, started creating and sharing of memes, etc. In reality, they weren't supporting the idea, they were supporting the hope that Elon would increase the price of coins and made them rich, prices felt and now they are blaming for fall. The only reason to blame Elon here is the manual speculation of prices. The way, for example, dogecoin was rising, wasn't healthy.

It's bad that crypto become a subject of speculation, money-making and business. It's far from its original idea right now. So, now you understand the point?

If you have money and resources...you can play around. Its only the people with scant/decent resources who lose when they start following the trend blindly.

For me personally, I don't follow Musk and never will. However, I do think it's a little crazy that one person could have so much influence over the crypto market. I agree with you that it seems like he played his followers in a sense - for BTC he bought low and got the ball rolling, then sold high. For DOGE he probably stocked up on a useless coin he got for less than $0.01/each, then starting pumping it and drove it upwards of $1. If it were Wallstreet that might be illegal, but not in the cryptocurrency world..

Same here. I lost my respect to Elon Musk for his latest statement about “environmental concerns” of Bitcoin and decided to suspend BTC payments for Tesla (including China’s latest crackdown on banks and financial institutions not allowed or banned to accept or adopt cryptocurrency).

He manipulated the market? Yes! Even there are some who disagree that Elon or China are not the reason behind this bloodbath, but still they have played a role on it along with the whale manipulators who are playing the market and FUD just to buy back BTC at cheaper price. That’s just my opinion.

Thing is there are a lot of people following those people you mentioned, and because they're followers wanting to be in the same wealth as those people you mentioned, they'll buy whatever it is being hyped by them.
I remember even Bitcoin SV being hyped in here a lot but it faded to obscurity anyway.
Musk's trend surely will be the next to fade out while Bitcoin still continues on its way to 70k to 100k. Cheesy

I didn't play his game, so it's wrong to say that everyone gave him $100 - smart people invest when the price drops and sell when the price is at its peak - and it's a different matter that the market is full of those who don't understand the basics, and want to profit from cryptocurrency trading. The market is relentless, and people like EM doesn't care if he makes money by taking $1 million from a rich man's account, or taking the same amount from 1000 people to whom that money really means a lot.

Until people realize that EM is not their friend, that they should not listen to the mainstream media, and that politicians are the worst product of human society - they will always be manipulated, and for that they will thank the one who took their money, dignity and finally the right to a dignified life.

I don't think that's the actual narrative here. Elon did manipulate the market, more for Dogecoin than Bitcoin. But he can't continue this game, not as a company. If he continues spreading FUD through his influence for the second time, SEC will step in and charge him for market manipulation.

So he had to stop and that's what he has done now. He manipulated the market once and possibly sold of Tesla's entire stock of bitcoin. We will come to know in the next quarter's income filing. But for now, he has stopped and I am sure he wouldn't try to manipulate it again. At the end of the day, no one wants to get arrested!
As if SEC is going to care about bitcoin market, remember that this is a decentralized platform so they don't have any real authority plus why are we on the side of SEC now that that it isn't in our favor, pretty hypocritical don't you think?

Influencers come and go. In market, some influencers I know Jamie Dimon, John MccAfee, Roger Ver, Faketoshi, Elon Musk.

I am a bitcoiner so I use my time to read Bitcoin resources and understand the value of Bitcoin. I believe in Bitcoin, believe in its value because of its deflationary specification.

Influencers. Do I care about them? Not actually but I certainly don't ignore them. Influencers can not steal my Bitcoin and can not liquidate my account if I don't use Margin and let my margin position opens 24/7.

After Elon Musk, there will be more influencers and market will have more news from them. Support then protest, they will change their views with market.

There is trouble abrewing
He might have taken the exit when the price pumped in the first place.
He might just invest back in few days thus people might sell their Bitcoins and put in doge.
The guy sold all his Bitcoins slowly and drastically because he was always on about the energy efficiency thing since people started criticizing him.
He is just manipulating but you can actually benefit from this state if you buy low and hold for the long term.

he didn't have to sell all to make profit, selling a little would have made him a lot of profit too. also the didn't have to sell anything at all, he could have just shorted bitcoin.

but my guess is that he thought he could FUD bitcoin to crash it and then at the same time pump DOGE which is why while he was FUDing bitcoin he advertise DOGE a lot.
if that's true he has already lost tens of millions of dollars since DOGE also dumped hard.
he didn't know that shitcoins get dumped when bitcoin drops Grin

A lot of bad words here am pretty sure we might have some young members here too.
Other than that. It's not what he did, it's what he is doing even today he did tweet about the price of doge going "1$" now people are desperately putting all their life savings there , literally everything!!
But the price started falling down. After his tweets there was a little pump but the price went down ⬇️ , at the same time there was also a decrease in the market cap. Now what I think is :
He might have taken the exit when the price pumped in the first place.
He might just invest back in few days thus people might sell their Bitcoins and put in doge.

Nothing lasts forever
These pump and dump games  won't continue in the long run. It will stop as soon as a huge number of people realize what Elon Musk is actually up to.
I do follow his tweets but just to get to know what he is up to. It's a shame that such a wise man would do something so stupid.
I used to admire him for accepting bitcoin payments and raising awareness about bitcoin but the late events have caused him his respect.
I am sure many people would have criticized him for the dump and things would just get worse for him in the upcoming days if he continues to pump and dump.

something people forget is that if it weren't for Elon Musk it would have been for someone else to start the chain of events after a FUD and cause a drop like this. if people simply started searching a little about bitcoin and also look at the bitcoin chart they can clearly see that what we are experiencing these days is not new at all!

it didn't start with the drop either, people have been doing the same when price was rising. they were associating the rise with him which may be the reason they are also associating the drop with him. which makes no sense since as i said this is not new at all but Elon Musk is new.

Do you really think so? A true journey begins now Smiley

Elon made a tweet on May 14 - "Don't Panic". He knew that price would crash but again, lit a small message that it's not time to sell. I hugely believe he would buy bitcoins on the dip and we should expect some speculations from him. But in any way, bitcoin will rise and reach new ATH this year without a single speculation from Elon.

Elon also tweeted that Tesla has Ethereum and it's a signal for people to buy. He will try to manipulate Ethereum and there is strong evidence also that Ethereum will reach 5K. Nice profit for Elon again Smiley

Elon also tweeted the following: "How much is that Doge in the window?" That means that he will try again to pump Dogecoin, a shitcoin with no real value.
