It's indeed real, real BS!

The next time you, sir, attempt something like this, don't call it the unveiling of Satoshi Nakamoto's identity. Nobody would come. Nobody's interested to be part of something nuisance.
The event failed totally because most people knew that it was just a means to seek attention and achieve other personal goals. It was so embarrassing that the organizers' computers didn't work and the owners of the venue had to force the organisers to clarify that the prestigious Front Line Club was not endorsing the event. Some reporters had to leave the event disappointed.

And after all is said and done, all you've got is a cheap version of Sadhguru in camouflage pants? He's the real Satoshi Nakamoto? Did you fly him straight from Afghanistan?
The so-called Satoshi was a clown called Stephen Mollah. Some reports showed that he gave no evidence that he was a Bitcoin inventor. When he was asked to move the coins in the Genesis block he promised to do that in a few months. This is indeed a disgraceful act.

Why do I think this is a hoax? Because it is all fluff and no substance.

I don't know what will happen at your event, but it won't be a person proving that they are Satoshi Nakamoto. That could be done more easily without an event. So, it makes me wonder what your purpose is.

The last time we saw something like this, it was some fly-by-night company trying to get some free marketing. I expect that you are doing the same thing.

I get. First you get deleted. Next.. Next we change your email so you can't log in.

You think the real Satoshi was kicked?

Well, when you look at the amount of money CSW took from the people who he convinced that he was the real Satoshi then you can see why other people would want to give it a shot. You don't need a lot of people, just enough so you can make some money and then go on to your next scam.

Oh and everyone who want's to take a minute don't forget to ~ Master Ledger in your trust settings and leave some negative feedback. With a little luck they will go crawl back under their rock and leave here.

Until this very day I wonder why he managed to convince supposedly so many smart and educated people fell for him. When I was new to crypto, I didn't understand a lot of things but just reading CW made my brain trigger so many red flags. Nothing to do with crypto just the general scam alert red flag alarm that made me stay away.

But your right in the end it is about greed, that makes you hear the alarm but just agree to get fooled anyway.

even from knowing who Satoshi is, a man or a group of people, - what would happen to BTC itself in the long run?

Nothing would happen. I read a Peter Todd quote a few weeks ago after the fake documentary named him. I can't find it now, something along the lines of, "spent many years reading the source code to understand Bitcoin. Bitcoin is that published code, it is not the original developer's person"

That's a terrible paraphrase. If someone can link me Todd's original, I'd be grateful

Did he say it in the documentary or he told to some reporter? I'm interested too, tried Googling but didn't find this. I like the the terrible passphrase idea.

The source code reveals zero about the person, the white paper, to me is closer to the character than even his forum posts. We all post in different moods. I have seen some posts I did so cringe. I was in a bad place lol

What I'm most curious about is what Charles Anderson (the OP, Master Ledger) expected to get from this. He knew that the event would be a failure, so why would he attach his name to it? What could he have hoped to accomplish?

Most people here know what you or the imposter should do to determine the authenticity of your claim. If you can do that, I bet you will get all the attention you seek. This is not the first time and wouldn't be the last about people claiming to be Satoshi. I don't even need to click the link you provided because imposters cannot be trusted.
Same here, I won't be tempted to click on the link in the OP, what good can come from it, since he had already summarized what the content will be about. Any member that has registered in this forum in the last six months and has been active wouldn't believe anything that the OP said, I guess that he needs to try his luck on convincing people about unraveling Satoshi Nakamoto, elsewhere, we have too many experienced members in the forum to counter his claims. Unraveling the identity of Satoshi, has been trending topics in different crypto forums, I guess people wants so bad to know who the Bitcoin creator is. People should respect satoshi's wish of staying anonymous but I think that it won't happen for a very long time.

And it's been widely discussed that, even from knowing who Satoshi is, a man or a group of people, - what would happen to BTC itself in the long run?
It wouldn't change much for its architecture and so on, so why bother?..

Big winner: event planner, event location, and PR publishing service.

Not so big winner: person who claims to be Satoshi as he gets for sure some cut and fame and journalist contact.

Big losers: everyone who paid.

Satoshi would never hold a press conference like this, even if this is beside the point, it can be the second point. First point is, Satoshi can prove himself in the same move to introduce himself.

I am sure it's not going to be the last time someone claims to be Satoshi.

For sure, but the thing is, Bitcoin enthusiast has so much with this bull s***t that we are not going to put ourselves to watch and hear who is this supposedly the real Satoshi as we all know that he is not going to come back and surface, not in the next 10 years or so.

And I do not think what goes in the mind of this so called Satoshi, what do they get from claiming to be one when we all know that Satoshi is gone?

Media attention and click bait and then what?

Good evening all,

Not sure if you will see this (anytime genuine news like this appears, they dont want you to see it and it gets mysteriously deleted.  Why dont you ask them why?)

to all the cynics and sceptics who chose not to believe anything that is real and only follow things that are so obviously fake, the event is indeed happening in a few hours

You can see the pdf in the press report:

https://pressat.co.uk/releases/satoshi-nakamoto-to-reveal-legal-identity-on-31-october-2024-9bf022a764471d8d8e174a7c68551e42/

Only really for Journalists.  However if anyone has a genuine interest and can honestly say they could not be considered one of Satoshi's adversaries then please call me and I will get you in.

All the best

Charles

Reading this on 1st November while enjoying the festivities of Diwali. I hope this Stephan Mollah can provide some substantial proofs to establish his claim to be real Satoshi!

A man who has the capability to create a whole new technology called Blockchain and a decentralized currency system, will provide real and unrefutable proof. Didn't happen this time though.

I am sure it's not going to be the last time someone claims to be Satoshi.

Here you are speaking in front of your script because there's no audience to speak to.

the event is indeed happening

The event happened. A person made a claim to be Satoshi. No proof was offered, with "laptop not working" excuse

Did you ask all the attendees for £500 or only one of them?

Fuzz and nothing about it.
Even if someone bigger would claim something like that - he would still be laughed at / not credible to say things like that.

These events are in the throws of being arranged right now

Maye you can ask "Satoshi" to proof read your Web site, fix this horrendous spelling error, and the others

Truly, maybe it would add up a fraction of the credibility needed  Grin
