I've never heared of this manufacturer... I'm pretty sure it's a scam, so i'd defenately suggest to stay away untill proven they're real

EDIT: a quick use of bitcointalk's search function dug up this thread:

Seems like a lot of senior members agreed it's probably a scam...

Hi there folks,

just found this manufacturer of BTC mining hardware in the net (http://www.thminers.com/index.php), and I was wondering if any of you know this company, and what your experiences are.

I will only refer to their BTC hardware, and not the LiteCoin hardware which they also offer on there website.

To summarize what they offer on their website is:
- Hashrate: 60TH/s
- Power consumption of 0.102 Watt per 1 GH/s (which is equivalent to 6.12 kW per unit whereby it is not stated whether this is at the wall or not. When assuming that not, and adding +10% to the power consumption, this would mean 6.732 kW at the wall)
- 20nm technology
- 3 years warranty
- 4U Rackmount case
- 2 Ethernet ports to enable cascading of multiple units
- 2x USB 3.0 interface
- 1x DVI & 1x HDMI
- Embedded control unit (for plug & mine)

Price offered today: ฿ 4.70743304 (inc Worldwide shipping by UPS, DHL, or FedEx) taking 630 $/฿ this would mean roughly 3000 US$ per unit (inc PSU, cables, control unit).

Seeing the specs this would mean that there is some competition for BitMain and their Antminer S9. Almost 5 times the hashing power, and roughly 2 times the price of an Antminer S9 Batch 17 (currently not available anymore). It should be noted here that Antminers do not have a PSU included.

What rises my suspicion though are the following things:
1) The website only shows a very small picture of a closed unit, and only showing part of the front. So, there could be anything inside, and the same kind of promo material was shown several times by fraudulent companies before.
2) It is only possible to pay in Bitcoins. The reason stated on there website is the possibility of fraud using payment methods such as PayPal/Credit Card or wire transfer. (Personal opinion: I can understand their argument towards PayPal, but I cannot understand use of this reason for wire transfer)
3) It is not possible to visit the company (neither their office nor their data center and/or manufacturing facilities) using the argument of industrial espionage. (Personal opinion: Not being able to visit the data center or manufacturing facilities would be fine for most customers. However, not being able to visit them at their office office seems very suspicious.

The Bitcoin community has seen several frauds pass by in the past (luckily till now I never got ripped off by one), and therefor I would like to start the discussion with the following points/questions on this new manufacture.
1) Does anyone have a unit of this manufacturer? If yes could you post a picture showing the inside of the unit, and verify the specs? This would make it much easier to verify the actual existence of the miner.
2) What are your opinions that payments are only possible in BTC, and not by wire transfer?
3) What are your opinions on not being able to visit the office of THMiners?

Notes of the author:
1) This post is neither meant as promotion for THMiners, nor an accusation that they are a fraud (I hope that they're not, cause we need some competition to BitMain on the market). I just would like to start the discussion on the product and the credibility.
2) There is the possibility for typos concerning specs, so if you find a mistake please let the community know. Furthermore, the author does not take responsibility for info and content on stated by THMiners on their website.

Best regards.
