I think too many people was screaming and shouting about zcash and that made it too hyped and led to the big disaster it is now. I will buy some eventually but not before I see it flatline for a few months first.
It will need over a year to get recover about its price. Supply was telling a lot about the future of zcash.It will stay at the low level for some years later. A lot of the big miner was dumping it until the next year in my speculation.

I think ZCash may take its place in the top 10. It provides innovation, however, this is an ongoing evolving process. On the contrary. A "legal" transaction is in principle one where both parties agreed upon to trade (that is, where not one party is holding a gun against the head of the other one). Whether a third party wants to know about that, or worse, want to reap in part of the deal (taxes), has nothing to do with intrinsically "legal" affairs.

I doubt if buying it as an investment is prudent, given that not enough cash seems to be coming into the system to maintain Zcash's price. Miners seem to be selling coins at a lower and lower price.
If you look carefully, the current market cap is essentially made up of two "pumps" of about $4 million, one at the very beginning, and one a few weeks ago.

It wasn't possible to transfer (millions of USD worth) value internationally without any trusted party and ID verifications. With bitcoin it became possible. Right now, for almost free and within several minutes. Technology is changing the rules and states will be forced to correct the law to fit new reality. Zcash is a true innovation and I feel they can take crypto currency to the next level. But the hype was little too high and it is good to it getting corrected. The team behind Zcash is good enough to handle the road blocks ahead.

Their hype is a manipulation, I don't think it worth for over thousand btc. And where they got his first hype if not from the manipulation of the ZEC price? But He is in the right place of the current price.
