Lots of reasons apart from the ones you rightly talked about which centers on store of value like Gold, Deregulation and Decentralization are worthy mentioning but a few if not all as to why we can invest in Bitcoin. Bitcoin has Wallets encryption, Its just peer to peer in Transaction nature, Its volatility can be taking advantage of, though with risk and can in multiples of ten to twenty doubles your investment after some years of holding which had not been experienced in any other kind of investment before.
These can be worth knowing and sharing about bitcoin as far as information is concern I'm sure when they learn a lot that bitcoin is not all about gaining but is also giving...these also good reason to tell to those who oppose bitcoin that is it fake and scam.
Those people who think that bitcoin is a scam are either ignorant one or the haters. They do not understand the concept of digital currencies very well and some want to keep public away from investing in bitcoin. To many people, bitcoin is a threat. Banks and governments are afraid of bitcoin and altcoins too. They keep on releasing new rumors on daily basis. In order to not get confused, the best is to do research by one’s own and make a decision.
I did not invest directly in bitcoin, I invested in equipment for mining. But all the same I, anyway, am an investor in bitcoin.

There are various reasons as to one invest on bitcoins, some see this as a digital currency which can be used world wide without a third party situation like the banks, and bitcoins helps to transact all over the world through the internet and all the transactions will be recorded in the public ledger called the block chain technology, whereas some see bitcoins as a good investment commodity, since the price of bitcoins have crossed $ 20000 USD last year December 2017 many got the chance to earn more profits from the bitcoin network through trading on bitcoins and selling when the prices shoots. In fact bitcoins makes all the transactions easy than any other means of transactions with low transaction fees.
Bitcoin is indeed a good gateway for making transactions online but it is not the best as of now since there is a lot of cryptocurrencies in the market and in the internet that is also fast but much cheaper in terms of fees so that is the reason why bitcoin is losing some trust from other people because the other cryptos are outperforming bitcoin in small things but it will become a big deal in the future when more people will use crypto for means of payment.
Let me add some more reasons here:
1) Bitcoins has given returns like 1000% percent in an year in the past. You will never get so much returns with any other investment.
2) Bitcoin has already proved itself for 8 years. It is safer than other alt coins.
3) You can use bitcoins to pay for services.
4) It is cool to be associated with this new technology.
5) Finally, it is one of the easiest ways to make millions for working people. They just need to keep buying some bitcoins consistently per month with their savings.

maybe only one compelling reason that underlies it is namely about the function of the bitcoin as the currency for the future and can reach high prices in the next few years. This makes the bitcoin has many enthusiasts to invest.
I was attracted to bitcoin because he has great prospects for further rapid growth. I think it's better to do something than not do it, and then regret all life for the missed opportunity.
There are many reasons that I invest in Bitcoin. Many establishment or many people who accept bitcoin as a payment or an online payment in online shopping, it's easy to trade in bitcoin and most of all in bitcoin is very promising because the price is stable and keeps rising every now and then.
You are correct bitcoin is very unique because of the decentralized form, easy to make transaction anytime anywhere, for sure the value of bitcoin will increase more because if bitcoin reach the max supply. But there are many people still not believe in this technology because there's a lot of negatives news about bitcoin I think the government want to discourage people so they want people believe that bitcoin is a form scam.
My ultimate reason is that bitcoin never fails me at the times that im starting to believe and invest at bitcoin. I earn a lot a bitcoin that usually bigger than my work salaries. Secondly is our country starting to adapt and recognized bitcoin, actually some markets here and convinience stores are accepting bitcoin as payments, transactions and money transfer. The last is bitcoin still exist because many people supports bitcoin including me that i'll be so happy if i spend more years at bitcoin. Im hoping that bitcoin will stays forever.
