Reading my post back I feel I was too harsh in my tone, I had a rough day and that showed thru in the wording I guess.
Even if I still stand behind every word i've written, I could had done it more polite so I apologize for my tone.

i care greatly about being *happy*. and we must share our feelings..
It's really all we should care about. Being happy and bringing happiness to others. 
I think the idea of gay being a problem is a part of history now. The few senior citizens who still go on about homosexuality will soon be dead. Young people do not care. They grew up with openly gay friends and will not learn to hate based on their ignorance. That is because they are not ignorant at all on the subject.
It reminds me of the people who still read the newspaper. I hear that in the newsroom they call the obituary "the subscriber list countdown." lol.

A lot shareholders might not like that, and a lot of the American citizens aren't that keen on gay people.
USA is the one of the largest, if not largest markets for Apple. People might turn away from Apple.
I personally don't think that "a lot of the Americans" have issues with gay people, maybe some nutty (mostly christian) groups that are quite loud.

Jony Ive is responsible for ios, perhaps we might see another comming out.
