Personally I think miners are a bunch of tech nerds who don't deserve to cream the wealth off coins and systematically dump large amounts of coins on unsuspecting average Joes.
I say screw the miners with their mining rigs of a thousand motherboards in their parents bedrooms or the big players with GPU farms.
Think about it, who deserves to get rich (within reason) from a great coin? Some dick cheese nerd miner or the actual developers. At least with POS we can see clearly how the initial profit is being distributed the quality of the deal on offer and how much developers are to gain from an IPO.
It also is way more democratic cause everyone has some money, not everyone has computer skills.
Crypto if its to grow needs to get out of the hands of the greedy Techs.
So let me get this straight.....you'd rather work your ass off at a minimum wage job, busting your ass rather than earn a considerably larger, passive income with almost zero effort aside from exercising the ol' thought machine and his trusty friend, mr. financially dependent bank account? And just because you busted your ass and did the work, the minimum wage job should be more respected than the passive income generated by mining, which in itself requires a significant investment? Do you even understand that concept of "think smarter, not harder?"

If you answered "no" to any of these questions, please proceed to unplug your computer from the internet. POS is just plain retarded, and if you buy into any of the IPOs on this forum you deserved to get scammed. Socialism only benefits people who are unskilled losers. Much like the OP complaining about people who are tech-savvy, jealousy is a stinky cologne.

This was a honey trap for the most selfish miners on here. Welcome everyone glad you could come to my little meeting....names noted.

MINING IS DUMB YOU AREN'T SOME KIND OF WORKING CLASS HERO MINER YOUR JUST TURNING YOUR EXPENSIVE COMPUTER ON!!!!
I'm not the one that brings "high minded" arguments. Of course it's dumb (but still MUCH better than scammy IPOs  Tongue), considering nice coins that evolve from PoW to PoS like Hobonickels, Bottlecaps, Mintcoin, etc... Of course I'm not altruist (even if I help newbies on preserving their hardware and increase hashrate). Of course I'm a lazy ass and no hero.

This isn't my job or my life either way. It's an HOBBY, that pays for itself.

But that's not why you're here.  Tongue You actually don't give 2 shits either way. You made this thread not to create an "honey trap", but BECAUSE you're trying to pump (or you're butthurt about) the worthless Nxt bag you're holding.  Grin

Yup 17 year old anarchist

EDIT: Oh wow this is because he couldn't figure out how to mine MAX. You legitimately couldn't figure out how to mine max, and ended up losing out on a profit so now you hate miners.

Thank god the most you can do is create a topic on this forum.

If you dont like miners dont use the coins that rely on them. You can make your own coin and try to attract prey people to use it. You dont even need to write that much source code, everything is readily available online.

Hey OP, the miners are often the ones who contribute to or entirely pick up the development of a coin when the original dev bails. Not to mention that many developers mine coins themselves. Your argument makes no sense, no matter how well intentioned it may be.

Without the miners and distributed hash, you can't secure the network.

I really hope this is sarcasm.

You understand the miners are what brings coins into the market, right? Often times, it's not even the most profitable option, the miners sell to the investors who end up making the most profit of all.

The thing about PoS is that the early miners/investors will generally be the ones that make the most amount of money in the long run anyway, because they're the ones who got a ton of coins while they were cheap, hence why Mintcoin is one of the best long term investments right now.

The internet is capitalistic, and although it's good for coins to be spread out and used by many people, if people want coins, they can buy them from the miners.
