I don't like sites which are full of third parties cookies. Being poorly secured such cookies may be a cavity for site making possible , for instance, XSS attack, from which, by the way, timechainstats seems is not to be protected.

Besides, 3rd parties  cookies always  concerns me as a potential threat to my privacy despite all relevant filters in my browser.

Sorry.

No apology necessary, I appreciate the insights. Additional protections have been added.

This is nice tool for various things. I am also enjoying it as much as others are doing. However, I got little confused when it comes to Mining Pool Top Hash. The color codes you have used are orange, blue, green and grey. I am not sure but I might be reading it incorrectly but for various pools the colors are getting repeated. Like Foundry USA, ViaBTC andLuxor are of same color. In similar ways F2 and BTCcom are also of same color. Is this correct or something should be read in different way than I am doing. Similar confusion happened when I was reading the graph of Lightening Node. But in that one I it was cleared after seeing you have divided the color codes into four different categories that is: Orange is Tor, Green is Clearnet, Blue is Unannounced, and Grey is Clearnet Tor. But for mining something isn't adding up for me?

Good to see Stock vs Btc comparison. At least it can be analyzed to see how it is better or not better than X stocks. The overall experience is very good on your site. Good luck mate.

Thank you for the kind words and for pointing out the display issue. I will check it out!

This is one of the best bitcoin sites I have seen in 2023, all the data provided is just awesome and the way that the information is displayed is a great design.

Since you are not running ads campaigns I would suggest to add a donations section in the footer, maybe that way you can get some income with the project. And I would like to know if there are plans to make the same with other altcoins. It would be nice to be able to see the same information for coins like LTC or ETH.

Yeah, I agree with you, I forgot to mention it in my previous message, but I'm also wondering if you accept donations to be able to contribute to the good continuation and costs related to your site?

OP, if you are interested, I'd be happy to send you a few sats to help with site hosting costs etc...

Yes, Lightning or On-Chain tips can be sent with BTCPay by clicking the orange DONATE button on https://TimechainStats.com. Thank you very much for your support!

Thank you for the suggestion! I've added an orange DONATE button at the top of the app, and am now accepting Lightning and On-Chain tips.

No plans to ever add support for any altcoins. TimechainStats is Bitcoin-only.

Bravo OP!  Smiley

I find your site clear, efficient and extremely pleasant to browse, and I've bookmarked it.

I really like the fact that all the useful information are concentrated in one place, and from my point of view there's nothing to complain about in terms of the quality of your site. It's even in dark mode, so everything is exactly as I want it.

I don't really agree with the comment below, OP's site is much more pleasant and exhaustive than coinmarketcap's BTC page. And at least it will mean fewer cookies and browsing data for Binance (as CMC belongs to the Binance group), I'm glad to have such a website.
This page (https://timechaincalendar.com/en) is very cool too, well done!

Thank you for the kind words! I also love TimechainCalendar, but I did not build that one... that was built by https://twitter.com/TimechainCaL.

Why did you choose to change domain name from LiveBitcoinData.com It looks great and is easier to remember, it's true that LiveBitcoinData redirected to the current page but I see that .com is getting less used if you are just thinking about changing the domain name.
UI looks professional and the response is good, but it contains the basic characteristics found in CMC, and therefore it needs more work, not a reduction your effort, as UI is better than CMC, but you need something unique that does not currently exist.

NO ADS and stocks VS BTC is a good you need to add about fees and move free charts.

Thanks for the feedback! TimechainStats is a much better name imo. Redirect still exists.

This is really an information-rich source you have created here.
I have a question about one entry under the Network Security section. It's about Bitcoin dominance. You wrote: "Avoid this metric". I am just wondering why? If you don't find it useful, can't you remove the line altogether?

At the bottom of the page, you have the wallet section with suggestions for different types of wallets. Are those your personal suggestions or what is it?
It would be cool if you added Bitcointalk somewhere on your site. Maybe under the Resources tab.

This website deserves to be bookmarked!

Alright thanks, I get it. Since we always tend to say that there's 21M but in reality, it's just an approximation. Although it's not really that much of what lacking to complete the entire 21 million.
Going back to the website, how many seconds does it take to load the website from you guys?

The 1 million in Nakamoto's wallet still in question if it will ever get into circulation or what I mean is get out of the wallet, there are so many lost coins this article estimates that 3.7 million Bitcoin are gone forever
Lost Bitcoin: 3.7 million Bitcoin are probably gone forever and probably more adding up.
It's sure that there are more adding up to that number and if we're going to imagine that those lost Bitcoins forever, that's actually a good in the circulation and economy as they add up to the market capitalization of Bitcoin. I thought that the approximately gone was just about 1M supply.

And about the loading time of the site, it is fast on my end, and checking on site metric its 737 ms
https://tools.pingdom.com/#62579e1c2d800000.
It's quite slow to me when I've tried to visit it for the first few tries. But no worries, it's all good and quick on me now.

The site is good it's the kind that you will recommend to your friend and just anybody who's planning to invest or has already invested in Bitcoin.
Yup, I'll give it to anyone who wants to try to have an idea about these numbers but hopnig that they won't be overwhelmed with these information.

Feedback welcome
I am familiar with TimechainStats for some time, but I think you can can try to improve loading speed, and I tried using several different browsers while testing.
Interface is nice and I like dark theme, but other pages sometimes don't work for me, so when I click on Network tab for example I only get black page.
When I refresh page and try opening any tab again, than it starts working as it should.

Mining Pools pie charts should have time periods less than 3 months (add days, weeks, etc), and default should not be 3 years period like it is now.

Just a noob question. We knew that 21 million is the maximum supply of Bitcoin and I've seen that there's 20,999,999.97 on your website's supply. Is there an explanation technically why it's not whole 21 million?
Because there are not 21 million bitcoins, but we say that there are approximately ~21 million bitcoins, the real number is 20,999,999.97, and there is always a less than 21M because of the number of lost bitcoins.
why 20,999,999.97 because every 210,000 blocks, block reward is divided by 2, starting from 50 BTC to 25 > 12,5 >6,25 >3,125,....
Alright thanks, I get it. Since we always tend to say that there's 21M but in reality, it's just an approximation. Although it's not really that much of what lacking to complete the entire 21 million.

It works fine, but I don't even know what language the article is written in. It seems to be Danish. I googled the image because I'm too lazy to divide 50/2 and multiply it by 210,000 and then add the result. You can do that with this script or calculate the result of the following equation.

Code:
git clone https://github.com/alfonmga/bitcoin-halving-cli-script
cd bitcoin-halving-cli-script/
chmod +x main.sh
./main.sh

Wow, this is really great. Definitely, a page that should be bookmarked.
You say there are no advertisements or anything commercial, and that's ok, but how do you plan to maintain this service, I live without any kind of monetization. I hope you don't expect donations to be enough. Some ads are perfectly fine if they will help maintain the service.
Speaking of ads, maybe OP can reach out to some of the services that are doing signature campaign in the forum to do ads there, OP can probably hit up the DMs of the services like my signature campaign Sinbad Mixer to do an advertisement there. If ads isn't really a thing for OP, I think that donation is the closest thing that OP can use to maintain the website and I checked it, without the ads, it's actually refreshing to look at so in my opinion, donations work the best but hey, compromise is always on the table.

I'm curious. On the Bitcoin price ticker, I see that the value is updated every few seconds. It looks great. Which API do you use for that if it's not a secret?

Is https://btclexicon.com/ also your site?

I have to say, after one visit to your site ... it was just one click to add it to my "favorites" ..... because it is so nice!

I enjoyed the "1 BTC can buy..." section the most..... because it can give "newbies" an idea what the buying power of Bitcoin are ..at any given moment.

Would you say that the opening page might be too cluttered and resource intensive for people with low bandwidth? This is really a one-stop site for newbies and experts alike.  Wink

Your website is full of information. It's like a wonder where one can see a lot of details about Bitcoin and the numbers that one can ever find. It's  with everything and even the conversion from different currencies. And since it's fully loaded with Bitcoin resources and data, I guess that's one reason why it's not quick to load.
