These tips are obviously valid but when you try out different types of rather new and expanding casinos you will see that all of them will ask many detailed information about you because of law enforcement. Everyone knows typical methods like not writing your credit card numbers anywhere but other than that you don't have much leverage against fraud casino. They ask information first! They can use that information any way they like (if they are fraud of course). This is why I always suggest to use known online casinos like stake com only where you will be safe.
This is the trend now and most crypto casinos are being regulated and KYC is a thing there.
Choosing the reputable site can at least give you the peace of mind that your personal data will be safe from them and of course you’ll get to experience the best gambling site. Security is a big thing that you must not ignore, if there’s a 2fA option do it, that is for your own benefit and for your own security.

Though sometimes, 2FA is not the indicator if a casino is legitimate or not. There are casinos out there that impose 2FA all the while being a scam in reality. They get two birds in one stone with you submitting your personal info plus giving them some money should you wish to deposit on them. The key is looking for authentic reviews for the site and see if it has established user base already. A rule of thumb I'd like to follow is if there isn't a thread for the casino already existing here in bitcointalk, it could be a possible scam - at least for me.

I don't see why you could avoid scams by signing up only to the Bitcoin casino with an email address. You still can be scammed by a scam BTC casino out there because the crypto casinos these days are asking KYC as well.

What you need to do to stay safe is to sign up only to the trusted Bitcoin casino. The famous ones have been operating the business for a long time because this for sure is not gonna close shops because of your $1M.
Agree. Since most the casino sites ask for KYC, it is difficult to apply that suggestion. To join the casinos, we need to give detailed information, not only an email address. Nitrobetting may ask for email only, but other casinos don't. It is only applicable on Nitrobetting. Anyway, when someday we get a big prize, will Nitrobetting never ask for detailed information? @nitrobetting

Sure, the most effective way is to be more selective in choosing the casinos. Choose reputable casinos only, never join casinos that have bad issues. We are better to avoid joining random or new casinos sites, too.

If an online casino is registered offshore many players won't trust it because most times they can disappear with people's money and could be found nowhere. Hence, for a cryptocurrency or bitcoin casino to be trusted, it must have to earn it, through positive reviews from players, and reliable customer services to solve players problems. Like other members said, kyc is now needed to play games online. So, the exact privacy players are expected to gain on bitcoin casinos is no longer there.

I think where the problem lies is that people don't want to have that first trust in these casinos especially the new ones because not all online reviews are genuine and that alone isn't good enough to know which casino will have the intention of scamming or not, talking about kyc as well, if users provide them with these information, that doesn't stops them from unleashing their fraudulent acts, ours is to increase and tightened the level of research we conducted on them before gambling or better still, we should use the old existing ones with high reputation and consistency.

This is where this forum comes in, if you already know the gambling boards in this forum.
You will be one lucky gambler as reading the threads and discussions here will give you more than enough information about these casinos and bookies.
Just by lurking around here will be your guide which sites are trustworthy or not, also, in case you have a problem, people or their reps can assist you.
Recently, I've seen a withdrawal problem in one of the casinos promoted here. And then it got resolved.
If you happen to play in the casinos outside this forum, what is the likelihood that you will get a resolution in a prompt manner?

The only difference between the cryptocurrency casinos and other online casinos is the payment and withdrawal method. It can be a hassle to withdraw our earnings to banks, in some cases, extra banking documents are required by the casino, which goes down to extracting private information from the players. In cryptocurrency casinos, such information as banking detail is not required during withdrawal.

The online gambling at first need to build the good trust among the gamblers, because in the past many gambling sites had scammed the people who hold big money in their wallet. So it may fear them to involve their money to the new gambling site.If you want to use the gambling sites,it was most essential for the gamblers to check about the gambling site owners. The crypto based casino help the gambler to not pay the taxes to their bank and the government. The withdraw method of the crypto casino is easy, the money automatically added to the crypto wallet. But for the fiat, the bank need to verify the each incoming transaction.
When it comes to transferring funds and whatsoever correlated such condition then we do know on what are those differences and the fact that this is the main reason on why cryptocurrency did really get that traction and recognition because on the fact that you could really be able to deal up with things anonymously or something that cant be tracked or known and this is why it did really get that demand which it do becomes bigger and bigger as the times passing by. Trust is something that should be built overtime and cant really be rushed and on the time that new platforms do exist then it would really be just that normal that there would really be hesitance on the time that they would really be launching and as for us gamblers who might be getting interesting on getting some involvement or simply testing out the platform then it would really be just that wise on putting up some mere amounts of money which they could be able to test out the waters because if it turns out to be a scam one then you arent that putting or endagering yourself on possible scamming attempt.

A lot of people join new casino and sportsbook platforms only for the bonuses they offer to new gamblers without realizing that it can actually be a trap. I don't say that all new platforms are untrustworthy, but it is always better to be cautious when joining a new platform, and as you said, if a platform asks for KYC verification that you recently joined and which isn't a very old platform, you should think twice or maybe more than that before you submit your personal information and documents.

This is the reason why it is better to simply stick with the old or trustworthy casino and sportsbook platforms so that you don't have to be worried about getting scammed or your personal details and documents being used for gaining money or maybe even in bad things which might cause you trouble.
Exactly. There's always the risk of crossing with a site that you shouldn't have cause they are a blatant scam ripoff that'll steal your money and quite possibly your information too, when it comes to playing with obscure casinos as well as those that are just starting. Always a rule of thumb of mine cause you can't really trust even those "old gambling sites" as you put it is to just play with casinos that are in this forum. That way push comes to shove we can contact them and possibly provide feedback as well should things go awry and we did get scammed.

Just like what happened with Betnomi, that site's one of the most trusted ones out here but out of nowhere they left with the players' money. People were informed of it right away and contingencies were set to provide some form of recompense to the users affected. You won't be able to do that with any other site mind you.

This is where the importance of this forum reflects on how it can prove to give an extra layer of security for everyone.

As a general rule, before a player invests in a specific gambling website, one should always refer to this forum and utilize the search bar in order to know if a gambling website is genuine or not. Like what you have mentioned, what happened to Betnomi was very unexpected. But at least, people were informed right away when some complained and created a thread about it. Majority were able to quickly remove and transfer their funds, though some had fallen to their shady exit scam.

I just hope that people will see the importance and value of this forum. Not only does this provide additional information to cryptocurrency, this is also gives everyone all the detailed and updated news on at least almost everything that is crypto related.

You do that by not giving up your information. Again, there are plenty of solid, legit, honest online sportsbook companies.

Some, though, make money by selling your information. Selling someone else’s information is a horrible practice.

There’s no way for us to know which companies are selling our information and which don’t. So stop scammers from ever getting your info by not opening an online betting account with any organization that asks for more than just an email address.

In a perfect world we might be able to operate completely anonymously online, but today it's not really possible. More and more casinos ask for KYC when processing larger withdrawals, it's nearly impossible to avoid them. And even if we only gamble at casinos that treat our personal information with the highest level of security, it's no guarantee that there is a scam running. Only some scams involve our personal information. Another scam can be that the casino runs fake games and bets to take increase their house edge. Or even worse the casino runs an exit scam and closes down operations overnight stealing all the remaining customer balances. We should be careful only looking for one specific scam. It's better to be cautious and look for all type of scams.

Many casino with reputation was running campaign in this forum over a period of some years,it’s essential for the gamblers to check the forum for the good game. The announcement thread of the casino will help us t learn more about that website.Instead of surfing in the internet, you can easily find more details in the website. The only thing you need to do is the verification of the data in the announcement thread is real or fake. The reputable gambling sites allow us to contact them easily and solve the issue in 24-72 hours for maximum.
If we can find casinos on this forum, it can help us avoid fraudulent casinos out there so that we can gamble comfortably and not worry about fraud. A reputable gambling site will provide satisfactory service to its customers so they can keep returning to the casino and spend some money trying to win the game. And the research we do by looking for data from this forum can be very helpful in finding a reputable casino that can provide comfort in gambling. Moreover, we don't need to read the reviews circulating on the internet, many of which are fake and can give a wrong review about the casino.

So, by looking for casinos on this forum, it is enough for them to get a reputable casino or bookie that they can use to gamble and stay away from any trouble. You are right that reading each casino's threads can provide more information for those looking for other casinos to add to their list of favorite casinos. Besides that, they can also find out the response from other members or the casino if someone asks or complains about something.

Reputable casinos always try to provide the best for their customers and satisfy them in many ways. And even though their search takes time, finding a suitable casino for them to play at is still worth it. This will prevent them from fraud, which often occurs out there.

This is why if you are in this forum, you are lucky to learn the reputable casinos or bookies.
Because reading their threads alone and the reviews will give you insights on how the site is treating their clients.
It is not because the site is requiring KYC to its users, the reason why they are reputable, but it is how
they handle each and every issue that they encounter with their players.
So it would take time to learn if the site is indeed reputable and taking care of their players, big or small time rollers.

From your explanation, it might be more in the KYC process. Well, actually that's not a 100% guarantee, right? Because no matter what, there will still be risks. And rather than just thinking about that, I would prefer a platform that has proven to be reputable, trusted, and has also been operating for a long time with good reviews and reputation. In this forum there are several platforms that are promoted and they already have high trust. So just do some research to be sure. This will be much better than registering on an unclear platform, especially just gambling advertisements with the promise of fantastic jackpot prizes.

I said in my last post in one of your threads that the number of threads you have already created in this section is impressive, but it is also unbelievable that they are topics that place bitcoin as something that solves all problems and has nothing that is disadvantageous, the Sometimes you focus so much on presenting bitcoin as something so incredible that you forget negative things too, for example on your topic, you forgot that now there is kyc so there are no longer things like anonymity in casinos, and you still say that All you need is an email and password to use crypto casinos, when we all know that you have to enter more real data, such as name and phone number in certain cases

Another thing is the tips you posted on how to avoid scam casinos, they are tips that will not help people to avoid scam casinos, that's because you made it seem like all crypto casinos are honest while fiat casinos are scam. when in fact many crypto casinos are scams, this is because as this cryptocurrency market has a lack of laws, so scammers took advantage of this and created casinos in which they are anonymous, you should have the courage to talk about this negative side of this crypto market but you became someone who blindly defends bitcoin

this is not good, it is bad. In an investment and currency, you have to look at the positive and negative side of things and not mislead people with your opinions that only speak well about cryptocurrencies and their crypto casinos, I like this market, but I can't deceive people saying that crypto casinos are all honest because they are casinos that accept bitcoin. I hope you improve your articles in the next few times

Know that KYC is becoming mandatory on online casinos. Even the ones you are thinking that do not require KYC will have withdrawal limit and if exceeded or you won huge amount, you will provide KYC documents.

The gambling sites are also centralized and can force you to provide KYC documents at anytime.

It is true that some gambling sites may be selling your data, that is why it is good to use reputable ones. Although providing KYC means that your data can be given to or leaked to other parties.
Only playing on gambling sites that have a good reputation is highly recommended, especially with the rampant activity of buying and selling personal data that continues to this day. and also don't easily believe in bonuses provided by a new gambling site, many of them only use it as a trick to entice users to make more deposits on their gambling site.
Just make use of your own common sense and this one would really be saving up your @ss on getting scammed just because you have just dive in into something which its too good to be true or not something that could really be able to see on every currently existing platforms or casinos which if those bonuses are already that big or something that gives out impression that it is really just that better then you should really be that skeptical
and having those kind of doubts whenever you do encounter these things. If you do find yourself not minding about these basic stuffs then you are really that prone into possible scam which those scam projects or platforms would really be taking advantage of you.

In overall, if you do want not to be victimized then it would really be always recommended that better stick into those old and reputable ones. Although it wont really be that bad on testing out some new platforms
because these old ones are once new too. You would eventually notice if the project is legit or that credible on just look with those common safety checks and you could really be able to find or observe
it on your own.

The money we are getting from the casino will be faster in the online gambling as compared to the offline gambling. The reason is the gambler can start the complain on the particular game.In some gambling sites the kyc verification is not mandatory because the user data was easy available in all the social medi. The gambling site will check your data and social media data,if both matches the gambling site will help you to use gambling site without kyc.If your information was seems scam one,the gambling site will hold your account and ask to do kyc verification as compulsory one.The gamblers should obey the rules of gambling site and do their kyc.The kyc verification just need five minutes of time.
Withdrawal can depend on the casino as some processed it manually but if it was done automatically, I still think that some fiat payment methods and offline casinos are instant because transactions won't go in the blockchain anymore. Complaining is normal and fine if you don't like the services being offered. You have the rights to do it because you are a customer and you are paying the casino.

KYC verification has nothing to do with Social Media or the data's inside it. It was only ordered by the government on compliance to the Anti-money Laundering Law. It may not be mandatory depending on the amount involved or it it's only a small one but one must prepare as they can accidentally win big amounts.

Never ever trust any online casino when they don't ask for your KYC information, they have the ability to ask for it, but now might not be the right time yet, and this doesn't mean they won't ask you one day
We all know that many people don't like the KYC system in big casinos, so the casinos that have just arrived on this forum see the gap in market interest by offering KYC free, but that doesn't mean KYC free and in the end they will also be asked because of course There will also be pressure on casinos in the future, for example the government and others will eventually ask for KYC on all their users.

Moreover, there is no compulsion in gambling on anyone, it is clear that casinos only offer a lot of gambling games to users, if you feel bothered by KYC, you should not gamble at online casinos, it is better to just gamble at offline or physical casinos, maybe it will be better for them, let alone casinos even nowadays exchange Many people also ask for KYC to verify to avoid money laundering and so on, everyone returns to their own thoughts, there will be no end to discussing KYC in this forum. lol

I can see that OP is trying to hard to stay safe when using any online casino but the truth is so many online casinos have different payment options by default, the moment you open an account on the casino you already have the payment options available to you.

You also said that an email address is all you need to log into your online casino, hope you've considered that email can be hijacked too, so it's better to add an extra security layer for your account like 2FA or verification code.

Also you need to understand that every online casinos out there are all centralized, this shows that they can decide to ask you for KYC verification one day if you want to get your funds out of the casino, failure to do this is goodbye to your money, until you are ready to pass the verification.

Never ever trust any online casino when they don't ask for your KYC information, they have the ability to ask for it, but now might not be the right time yet, and this doesn't mean they won't ask you one day

I think the number one thing is to simply do your homework on the casino and make sure they don’t have a bunch of complaints from users/members. If they’ve been around a long time and have a good reputation, obviously that’s your first big step.
Exactly. By doing this we can avoid playing on shady platforms because we did a research on what casino has a good reputation and recommended by gamblers without much complaints (since no one is perfect but they're doing their best to resolved any issues, this is for legit casinos).

Then, don’t leave much money in the exchanges. I never leave more than $2-300 dollars worth of bitcoin on any site. Being that it’s so easy to move bitcoin in and out, why take the risk.
It's not really advisable to leave your money on a platform if you're not going to use it because it's not safe. That's why I only deposit a money on my gambling account to play and if ever I win, I immediately withdraw it.

Anyway, nowadays KYC is quite common for centralized casinos. Therefore, to be certain that your informations are secure on the platform where you will submit it. Choose a reputable casino where many gamblers are playing since it's trusted.
Every gambler definitely wants to try a new gambling site because there is a separate feeling of annoyance if playing gambling on the old site doesn't get a win, usually every gambler thinks that if you try a new gambling site you will get an advantage because it's the first time and usually these fraudulent sites tempt you to profit in The number is so large that many online gamblers are tempted to play it without thinking about whether it is a real or fake gambling site.
But it would be better if gamblers search the gambling site first to avoid fraud and personal data that can be hacked.

This is the solution to avoid being scammed because there are different casinos coming up and to jump into a new casino that has not been tested is not really encouraged. If you are playing on an old casino without no hitches and you withdraw with no complain, it is better to stick it out there rather than chasing bonus and other welcome packages like free spin which attract new players. But some bettors want to have a feel of some new ones, it is better while trying to deposit little money that may not matter to you even if you lose it. So reviewing a casino before signing up is the right part to take first.
Scam can not be permanently eliminated but can be reduced to its minimal level. Scammed casino are increasing rapidly in numbers by the day and its our primary objective to abstained from these sights entirely. I've no business dealing with these sites, always depending on my desirable casino that favours me and accumulate significant profits. The best choice inother to avoid been victim of scams is actually sticking to the usual gambling casino. There's absolutely no better one out there other than the one that keeps 100% satisfactory outcomes.

Crypto gambling platforms are more secure and fast in terms of transactions compared to regular casino platforms, but they also require KYC for higher withdrawals. It's quite rare nowadays that crypto gambling platforms don't require KYC for withdrawals, because they need it to be able to check the validation of the user. And there is also no guarantee that crypto gambling platforms will not sell their user data, even companies like Facebook and Google have sold data to third parties, so don't be too sure that crypto gambling platforms are more secure, but obviously it's much better compared to ordinary gambling platforms.

This is the reason why it is better to simply stick with the old or trustworthy casino and sportsbook platforms so that you don't have to be worried about getting scammed or your personal details and documents being used for gaining money or maybe even in bad things which might cause you trouble.

Sometimes the casino or the casino entities that often join online casinos and crypto they sometimes proclaim Something that many newbies believe, and that the KYC if they do it will already be protected and it is not like that, the simple KYC must be see it as a requirement of world Governments to make people lose their Anonymity and privacy , so they will know who is playing and who wants not, because the licenses are for that, it is for a control that is based on the legal, so anyone who says What do the KYC do just so that the person has security in their account, I can tell you that it is pure story, cheap and old, because it is not like that, the real reason is that, that is why there are so many players who do not They do not even play again in the casinos, because they do not want their data to be released there, to hackers, bankers, criminals, all kinds of people who can cause damage and robberies, including the most planned stays.

To fully trust that the casino is reliable is very easy , we have it here and it is the Forum, in the forum there is a list of the best casinos out there and that is an indication that things are good when there are many people who have played that they have done their good part giving it a reference in their reputation , so things on that side can be seen around, but we must not eat the story that thanks to KYC our Money is safe with them , because there are casinos that are having everything under the law, with their licenses, with their processes of all these things very well and they can still steal, become a scam and everything happens, that's why it is good that Whenever people and players who are new, stay in reliable casinos , there are many like stake.co, bitcasino,.io, rollbit,. duelbits, roobet, among others and have their Ann threads where the person can visit them, give their opinion, make a good Analysis of what they want to be and Enter , that is the advantage of this.

I think the number one thing is to simply do your homework on the casino and make sure they don’t have a bunch of complaints from users/members. If they’ve been around a long time and have a good reputation, obviously that’s your first big step.

Then, don’t leave much money in the exchanges. I never leave more than $2-300 dollars worth of bitcoin on any site. Being that it’s so easy to move bitcoin in and out, why take the risk.

We still can. And that is when we deposit on a scam casino. But it becomes worse if you also gave your KYC to them because they can smuggled it as well. There are still legit casinos which are KYC enabled. I have no problems on using them but some people who value their privacy the most, may completely avoid them.

One million dollars is a hell lot of money and I think many old and famous casinos can risk their reputation with it, especially if they are on their down times where their income is at their all time low. I already witnessed a couple of them who ended up like that. So don't say that they don't. Never put all your trust anywhere dude.

Nothing lasts forever
The only thing you must do to avoid scams when gambling online

Such a lengthy post and all you have written is that we should open an account in bitcoin/crypto only betting sites.
It's ridiculous. You didn't have to write it in such a lengthy manner because it degrades your credibility.

Coming to the point, I wouldn't say that bitcoin/crypto only betting sites are safer too because you never know when they get hacked.
You will eventually have to hold your coins on the site and that will itself make you prone to a scam.
As long as you don't hold the keys to your coins, you are not safe.

The casino's reputation plays a big role here. Personally I don't take my chances with the newly established casinos or casinos with bad reputation. I always read the reviews before I send money to a casino and I don't remember me ever getting scammed till now. I do this when I am about to book an hotel too. I read the booking.com reviews before I book an hotel so I won't have bad experiences. We read books for this reason too, to make use of the other people's experiences. When I see a casino/casino rep's account painted red here, it rings so many alarm bells. A good example would be, 1xbit/1xbet.
We've been doing that as long as we use this forum. We also have a list of trusted casino sites we have used to gamble to avoid these fraudulent sites. Yes, we always read the reviews left by members here to avoid the scams that the new casino will bring and to ascertain whether the casino will be one of the sites we add to our list of casino sites. So reading reviews from many people, especially from members of this forum, is always recommended to avoid scam casinos and find the casino we seek.

The best way to stay safe and avoid scams is to open an online gambling account with a bitcoin only, or other crypto only, online sportsbook or online casino.

While I do really prefer crypto-gambling sites over fiat online casinos, that statement of yours doesn't make sense.

We are talking about safety here and there are sh*t crypto-gambling sites too that can turn scams anytime with a surprise here in the crypto-gambling world. There's no 100% safe here. Related to KYC, how come it is now subject to identity theft when being asked about KYC lol?

Let's not put this too much technical. Stay on the reputable casino, regardless if it's crypto-gambling sites or fiat sites and somehow we can minimize being scammed. Don't believe too much that you are 100% safe if you just choose crypto-only gambling sites. It's even good for those scammers to show their true colors in a decentralized world where freedom is an advantage.

Crypto-betting sites are also plagued with a lot of scams.

It is increasing everyday. But some gamblers because they want to get rich quick ignore all the warning signs which is too bad.

I don't like KYC but I'd rather play on a gambling platform that enforces this and is already established in the scene rather than a new casino with lots of promotions but doesn't have anything to back itself up when it comes to legitimacy.
I hate KYCs but I'd rather choose to do it at a reputable casino than not because it like choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea. If you run away from a reputable casino because you don't want to fall into the hands of scammers only to get scammed at a non-kyc casino.

Quote
Of course, platforms with KYC can come clean and still do an exit scam if they'd like. But I guess even without these signs or tips that you have posted, people can do a bit of research about the platform and avoid getting scammed if they wanted to.
People prefer to get scammed first then do their research about the casino platform after and not before. That's why scams will increase.

Find a trusted gambling platform. Big number of gambling sites were available. It have become an easy task to choose the reputed and the trusted one that provides good number of games.
If you stay in an environment where are many gamblers who have been playing in a casino long before you picked the interest, do not be too proud to ask them to recommend to you a casino that they can trust and what is popular among their circle, and after their recommendation, you also have to double check. If it is a new casino that you cannot still trust, you can come to this platform to ask other gamblers who will be good at spotting a scam casino than you are. Do not be too excited to try out new casinos at every opportunity, train yourself not be easily attracted by huge bonuses, rewards and offer.

Where you find attractive offers, always avoid that place. Attractive offers are always used by the scammers to attract potential gamblers. Now when they deposit money there, their funds gets locked and hence they lose their money. You can stay safe, if you greed less. Always go for casinos which are present in the market for long time. They might not have the best offers, but your funds will be safe. And you can be saved from scams.

Instead of totally avoid the attractive offers, you can check the background of that website. If the website is real, their is no wrong to proceed with the website. If the offer is most attractive like bonus will be 50 percentage of the deposit means, this is impossible by the biggest casino. So you can skip the offer like this blindly and no need to check the background. The maximum deposit bonus will be 5-15% by the real website. The scam website will block your withdraw after the deposit was made, mostly they won’t allow to play the game. Some will allow to play after deposit and allow to made a big win,at the end they will block the withdrawal.

Gamble on the most trusted and reputable online casino for you. As scamming online becomes rampant, then stay away from new online casinos that are offering too good to be true prizes. Although I’m not saying this in general as there are still reliable new online casinos but hey, let’s face the reality that a lot of them are built to scam people particularly those new gamblers that still want to explore different online casinos. So stick to those casinos that have positive reviews and in which you have also experienced playing from them.

New online casinos that give huge bonuses in their announcements should also be suspicious, they're just scamming new users. Make a deposit and can't withdraw it. There are many new casinos coming up, but I would recommend using existing casinos with a high reputation such as Duelbit, Roobet, Stake etc., as they are the most recommended at the moment. There are no casino platforms that just give huge bonuses for no reason and seem unreasonable. If there is such a casino then we need to be vigilant as scammers might be behind the casino.

That's how they can lure people and we should be suspicious on why they give that since no generous casino would offer huge bonus as easy as that. This is why I don't usually go to new casino because don't want to experience bad experience with them. Much advisable to newbies to go with old reputable casino since they are more true to the promotions they placed and anyone can make sure that once they win they can get their prize without getting any big issues.

Avoiding online gambling can not make you not to be scammed, the only way you can avoid scam is investing on a platform you know that doesn't have a good reputation, secondly I believe in gambling you have to follow two things and one in gambling you have be aware of the site rules and regulations and particularly the aspect of verification of kyc, when you have not followed the instructions of kyc and site restricted you of not getting withdrawal you will look as if you have being restricted of getting your fund's and it's  a scam, many people avoid kyc because of exposing their information data in online, but but given data of yourself you have to check the sites that you are dealing with. Scam is real but when you are over protective in scam you will be victim of it. A gamblers fall victim of scam in gambling websites for a site who is new.

A licensed casino will need to combat against money laundering, calling a casino that asking phone number, ID number etc is scam is really not make sense lol.

There's a chance the casino can sell the gambler's identity, but it's up to the gambler to choose to gamble on KYC casino or No KYC casino. After all they're still a centralized casino that will record the gambler's IP address, there's no such privacy in centralized casino.

It's really important to be wary about the scams and schemes circulating online. It's good to be aware and vigilant rather than cry over spilled milk later on due to negligence. Hence, it's really good that a player will take note of his digital footprints to trace whether the information you shared is still safe or not.

For me, nothing beats playing on reputable website as to being careful to not fall into scams. Since it's becoming inevitable to have a verification or KYC, the least you could do is to only sign up to trusted websites if you will undergo the verification process to ensure that your private information will be kept with confidentiality and not be sold on third parties. There's a risk, but compared to signing up to unknown sites, it's much lesser. And we can say that your info will be safer. Still be always on your guard though to avoid any preventable instances while gambling online.

For me, it will still be about the reputation of the gambling site. Being anonymous or pseudonymous is still risky especially if we are talking about large amounts of cryptocurrencies. So, I think I'd rather stick with a business that built its name from scratch and ended up getting a high reputation because of its trusted service and a lot of good feedback. Take their KYC and just abide by the law. It's not that I like leaking my information but these are rules that gambling sites need to obey to avoid money laundering schemes. It's not like they are just doing it for fun or to mess with us but the government said so and that way they could continue their business.
Sure, I might like testing a fully crypto-friendly non-KYC gambling site but I don't think I will end up depositing large amounts because it's too risky.

The thing is... if you do not provide legit information when you sign on.. and it turns out that the casino is legit.. then you might not be able to withdraw later on.. when they validate your KYC information.

This has happened to me before... I created a "test account" on a legit site and I deposited funds to test it... and I won a large amount.. then they asked for further KYC information and I was "red faced" because I provided fake information when I created it for the "test"

I now do proper research before I create an account to prevent that in the future.  Grin

The safest way to avoid scams when gambling online is to make sure we play gambling at a trusted crypto casino. Nothing else but we will be tempted to play at other crypto casinos we find while browsing the internet. These casinos know how to give us temptation or people who want to find other crypto casinos. Indeed, we can register using only an email and start depositing some money to play gambling but later, when we get a big win and want to withdraw the winnings, we will be asked to do KYC. And this is what scammers use to start defrauding gamblers in their casinos by still not processing their withdrawals.

And now it's hard to find casinos that allow withdrawals of large amounts of money before we do KYC first, then the casino will process the withdrawal. And if you have found a trusted casino, you can do KYC safely and don't need to worry about anything.

Gamble responsibly
Yep this is always the signs especially if the offer is too good to be true. But often times they do this when a casino is starting like deposit and double. They could turn out to be a legit casino or they are just waiting for the right time to turn into a scam.

Anyone who wants to gamble should just find the most well known casino in crypto because they are usually not scam and forget about bonuses.
If a gambler register on a gambling site and he saw 100% welcome bonus, won't that look to good to be true? Some gambling sites are doing that. But any other thing like that which is too good to be true, the gambler should avoid the site.

But gambling site is not only about this to know if it is a good gambling site or not. As for me, I used reputation and how long a gambling site has been existing before I can use the gambling site. On this forum, I check the amount of money gambling site pump into campaign and how serious they are and start with little amount of money.

If the offer is too good to be true then be skeptical and try not to fall for their trap easily. Most scam casinos nowadays offer too much bonuses and promises just to attract more gamblers. If the offer is too much than usual then try to investigate and do a deep research first. Those who fall for this trap are usually those who are always hunting for bonuses and promotions without doing further research.
If a casino is offering so much, that doesn't mean that they are legit and trusted. No matter where we play and what casino we may choose, we shouldn't forget to do a deep research.

preventing fraud or gambling staying safe I do not think its that complicated. I mean in this forum there are quite a number of online gambling sites or crypto casinos that have a good reputation and have even been recognized by most people in this forum and this can be the best choice to avoid fraud because trusted casinos in this forum have been around for a long time and already have a large community or one might say a large casino. and for KYC issues as I know right now big casinos that are licensed usually have rules for doing KYC even though its only level 1 because these rules are already the policy of the license and I also have a gambling site account here at big crypto casinos and do KYC without having any doubts about selling my personal data because I believe that big crypto casino sites will not sell their customer personal data because they are a big company that will not possibly damage their reputation just for the sake of money even they have already earned a lot of money from the gambling business so it is unlikely that the casino sells data personal property of the customer.

We need to separate between scam casino and fraud in casino.

Scam is when the casino don't want to pay the winning to the gambler, the casino will use many excuses and reasons in order to to make the gambler can't withdraw his winning.

While fraud is associated with illegal activity by the casino, they might be a mixer, sell gambler's KYC, etc.

What if there's a casino want to let the gambler withdraw his winning but they're sell the gambler's KYC? they're not a scam casino, but unethical casino!

Know that KYC is becoming mandatory on online casinos. Even the ones you are thinking that do not require KYC will have withdrawal limit and if exceeded or you won huge amount, you will provide KYC documents.

That's right. Being asked for KYC is becoming more and more common. And if 5 or 6 years ago there were few that did it, now there are few left that do not ask for KYC under any circumstances.

On the other hand, depositing and gambling in a non-KYC casino doesn't get rid of 100% of scams either. They won't sell your personal information but they can make an exit scam. In short, nothing is certain, and to choose a casino it is best to check the forum first to see its reputation and track record.

I guess you have to do your due diligence, what I meant is that you should also play on casinos that has a reputation here in our community. Similar when you go out and play to land based casinos, there could be some casino that are like 3 or even 2 stars and so you should avoid.

The good thing about our community though is that it is very open, and the moment they see a casinos scamming here, they will be quickly called out and even worst there could be scamming accusations and so they will have a bad rep here and members are going to stay away from that platform for good.
That's right..... a good reputation will show that the gambling platform is safe and is visited by many gambling players. even when gambling platforms have a good reputation, they will think repeatedly if they want to commit fraud against their visitors. The reputation they had built over the years would be destroyed in an instant if they committed fraud.

Those who commit fraud are the owners of small gambling platforms. because they don't care about their reputation, they only think about profit and they will do everything they can to make the most profit, including by defrauding people who register on the gambling platform.

1. Bitcoin only or crypto only sportsbooks require an email address and that’s it
Wouldn't really say so. Rare are the casinos/sportsbooks nowadays that only ask for simple details, most of them usually as KYC now to comply with regulations. But then the idea is actually there, casinos ask for KYC stuff but they never ask for your, say, card details and stuff like that. Like really, if it strays outside of say, source of funds, then that's a red flag already.

Well in the end if you really wanted to bet at a safe place, you'd go for reputable ones. Even with KYC, you'd know the sites safe due to the reputation it built.

If it is too good to be true, then avoid it. I've been gambling in this industry for years and so far, this saved me from fraudlent platforms. All gambling sites could offer different games, huge amounts of bonuses and rewards but why are they gauging and hesitating from doing so? 'coz it could be a loss on their end especially if players could abuse the system by any chance. There's no such thing as an easy way to be rich; either you invest and earn or by luck. We should all be cautious of our actions. There are many new gambling sites in each week but if you're seeking for assurance, then engage to reputable ones of this industry.

As lomg as you won't be dumb enough to put everything in it, you'll be safe if it is informtion being concerned of. There's no way to tell a platform would be an absolute scam unless something bad happens to atleast one of the player's money so be cautious.

It is true that some organizations, casinos where you sign up, or websites where you're filling up forms can really sell our info to third parties. We don't have a way to stop them but we can have a method on how to avoid them and that's through gambling only with reputable casinos.
There have been newbies that are coming from nowhere sharing their experiences that they've been scammed or tricked by the casino which they've deposited their money. And when you ask them what's the domain, they're giving random casinos that have been never heard. That's why it's best to just gamble on reputable ones like Duelbits.

~snip~2. Some online gambling orgs sell your information
The best way to avoid scammers is to prevent your information from falling into scammers’ hands. How do you do that?

You do that by not giving up your information. Again, there are plenty of solid, legit, honest online sportsbook companies.

Some, though, make money by selling your information. Selling someone else’s information is a horrible practice.

There’s no way for us to know which companies are selling our information and which don’t. So stop scammers from ever getting your info by not opening an online betting account with any organization that asks for more than just an email address.

Your privacy is the most expensive and you won't sacrifice your personal data just to play bets, which isn't necessarily going to give you a lot of money.
Some fraudulent casinos will ask for complete personal data, but then they will collect it all and sell it to analyst data aggregators for promotional purposes or on some negatives. That would be very dangerous. So choose a truly trusted casino, and if they ask for KYC then of course it won't be fully and only on some big withdrawals asking for KYC. If as a small player then there will be no KYC required. That's a pretty logical rule.

The only thing you must do is sign up with a bitcoin or other crypto only online sportsbook and online casino
The best way to stay safe and avoid scams is to open an online gambling account with a bitcoin only, or other crypto only, online sportsbook or online casino.
I agree with that, but there are still many people who are cheated by fake gambling sites, including some of my family members. The most important thing in this case is to pay attention to every step when registering. Because not a few people are not careful when they find themselves on online gambling platforms. In the registration steps there are terms and conditions and most people ignore them for reasons of time efficiency, but actually what happens is they are lazy to read them because when they see the terms and conditions they are so long that they span several slides. laziness makes some people to immediately agree without reading it first.

So in this context we cannot fully blame the gambling platform, but fraud can also be caused due to our own negligence.

My biggest tip is just to avoid shady sites.

A large amount of people who fall victim to these scams (people getting locked out of their accounts with funds, winnings never withdrawn, etc.) is because of the fact that they dealt with shady casinos out there that have not proven themselves among the public. Heck sometimes even "reputable" casinos turn out to be like this years after, so it's really hard to pinpoint which one you should trust and which one you shouldn't. But a rule of thumb I employ whenever I gamble is to only play with casinos that I'm already acquainted with. Taking the chance on casinos you haven't tried and tested yet just cause they offer "bonuses and deposit rewards" is one of the biggest ways you could lose money in this industry.

No God or Kings, only BITCOIN.
Don't click links too often, always have some 2FA when you're dealing with anything related to finances online, buy a hardware wallet, etc. There are too many ways you can avoid scams but they are getting more clever than ever as well, and in gambling, it isn't an exception that you'll get a handful of DM's promoting or giving you some pitches of how good they are or their products. My advice is to stay vigilant as ever and be doubtful when needed especially when you're dealing whether it's just about crypto, gambling, investments, etc.

We know that scams can occur anytime and anywhere, and if we don't want to experience scams from gambling, we don't need to gamble and always try to avoid gambling whenever and wherever. But if you still want to gamble, you should make sure that the casino you want to use is a casino that has a good reputation and has become a casino recommended by people, especially friends, on this forum. I trust friends recommendations in this forum more than the review sites out there. But from the review sites out there, I trust our friends @efialtis and gamblingbro, who provide reviews of new casinos.

And if we want to do KYC, we have to ensure the casino can keep the documents we give them. And we can get that from a trusted and reputable casino because they can really keep the documents from their customers. We can get all of that on this forum where there are lots of popular and trusted casinos so that it can give us a sense of security so we can play gambling in peace.

If you follow this rule, you will be extremely limited when picking a platform where to bet, because 90% of them, and 99,9% of the most reputable ones will potentially ask for your personal ID at some point, even the ones operating with BTC and crypto in general. Unfortunatelly you have to comply with these requirements. Nowadays there isn't much you can do to avoid KYC procedure. The industry is heavily regulated and companies have to ensure these procedures on these services to remain legal towards the authorities of the countries where they are registered and to allow gamblers from different countries to play on their websites.

You're obviously oversimplifying things. Scams aren't this simple. You can be scammed through a lot of ways. Signing up "with a bitcoin or other crypto only online sportsbook and online casino" doesn't guarantee you that you won't be scammed anymore.

That casino itself could be a scam. They could pull an scam exit anytime. It could also happen that you're signing up on a fake site. It's either you're clicking on a phishing link sent through your email, an ad, private message on a social media account, and so on. Or by downloading something you're opening your computer up to a malware which then gives access to a scammer to your casino account.

Cryptocurrency accepted gambling platforms were big in number. This means the competence have increased as well as the people's involvement too have increased. It is an easy choice to segregate the trusted platforms whereas it is really hard to stay away from scams. This is our responsibility, because recently saw a thread in which a platform resembling the same as the original site is being developed and circulated. Someone without looking the URL making his details to login could end up losing his/her funds. Same as that someone making wrong deposit also make him/her loss. Gambling platforms were completely centralized as the KYC is mandatory beyond certain amount of withdrawal. So, we need to be careful while handling our account.

Crypto-betting sites are also plagued with a lot of scams. Fiat bookies are not the only one on this endeavor, unfortunately. I don't like KYC but I'd rather play on a gambling platform that enforces this and is already established in the scene rather than a new casino with lots of promotions but doesn't have anything to back itself up when it comes to legitimacy. Of course, platforms with KYC can come clean and still do an exit scam if they'd like. But I guess even without these signs or tips that you have posted, people can do a bit of research about the platform and avoid getting scammed if they wanted to.

Man, I'm sorry to say, but even on crypto betting sites you can get scammed.
The most important tip is to know where you are depositing your money or cryptocurrencies, there are many scam sites that accept cryptos, in fact I believe that it is much easier to steal cryptos than to steal fiat.

As for providing data, crypto sites in fact only ask for an email when you sign up, but most of them will ask you for documents, selfie, address and in some cases even proof of income when you try to withdraw a large amount of money .

Back then, you'd have no problem picking any crypto sportsbooks since most of them don't require KYC but now it's a bit different. Not all crypto sportsbooks only require an email when creating an account because they can always change their terms and conditions. If you check the table in this thread, there are only a few crypto sportsbooks that don't require KYC, while half of the sportsbooks listed can potentially ask for KYC.

Casinos could potentially leak or sell our information, but as Oshosondy mentioned, it's best to pick the top casinos to reduce the chances of it from happening. Picking crypto sportsbooks also works but unfortunately, most gamblers still prefer to gamble with fiat.

It is natural that there will be both good and bad in an industry. So there will be good casinos as well as scam casino sites but we have to be careful and protect ourselves from scams. Yes I agree with you that most gambling sites are centralized so they can force any gambler to kyc at any time. And that's why before going to gamble on any site, you have to think whether you will stay at that site for a long time.  If you are planning to stay for a long time then it is better to keep kyc complete in advance so that you don't have to face any kind of problem. and to protect yourself always choose trusted and well-reviewed sites

The only thing you must do is sign up with a bitcoin or other crypto only online sportsbook and online casino
The best way to stay safe and avoid scams is to open an online gambling account with a bitcoin only, or other crypto only, online sportsbook or online casino.

Sounds simple, but it’s correct. That’s all you must do to ensure you can stay safe and avoid online scams. Check out why it’s true.

1. Bitcoin only or crypto only sportsbooks require an email address and that’s it
Most online sportsbooks ask for very detailed information. They require your phone number, your physical address, email address, and in some cases, your social security number.

Although there are plenty of legit online sportsbooks out there, you’re more exposed the more information you provide.

Bitcoin only online gambling organizations like Nitrobetting require an email address and that’s it. All you need is an email address to open a Nitrobetting account
.

You mustn’t hand over every piece of personal information. That alone makes it safer to play with a bitcoin only or other crypto only online gambling company.

2. Some online gambling orgs sell your information
The best way to avoid scammers is to prevent your information from falling into scammers’ hands. How do you do that?

You do that by not giving up your information. Again, there are plenty of solid, legit, honest online sportsbook companies.
