I believe the main reason people lose their accounts is because they don't check the email they used to register said account often, which can lead to the email provider deleting the email due inactivity.

Gmx is absolute trash for instance, and a lot of people keep using it. I lost an account (not a forum account, from some other place) and I believe it was due gmx. When I checked my email, the email account didn't exist anymore. I was able to re-register it, so gmx doesn't seem to be blocking already-used-before account names, so this would mean that the attacker was able to register this same account in the pass, change password, and delete the account again or just leave and it would go inactive. So now i have no proof of the hacking, since the email account is empty, as I just registered it again. Ridiculous. I think this is how satoshi lost his gmx account too.

Lol, what a blatant tool of scammers to grab a password of an existing Gmail account...

I hope everyone will know the rule about never to enter your password somewhere else except the original website (check url!). Any other place is most likely a phishing site. And also don't send your password if someone claims in a mail you have to do this for security reasons - never do this, it's your password, same procedure with private keys!!

Finally the people who want to hack by using this tool above get hacked themselves, if they are that dumb.  Cheesy
Shhhhh.
They'd get stuck on the recaps ha now too lol!

I think a lot of these "hacked" accounts are just users that sold their accounts and are attempting to recover them.

Why is there so many question marks?
I can't read it, there's too many clouding my view of the topic Grin.

Use a question mark when you have a question...
2FA isn't offered on bitcointalk so I have no clue where that came from to be related to meta.

Other than that, nice work!

Every day l see the posting of the problem topic often hacking on the account. The hacking occurs due to the negligence of the account owner in using his account. Hacking is not an easy thing if the account owner does not do the negligence in using his account?

Here are tips you can do to avoid hacking:

# Periodically check your account security regularly at Security Check, You can also add cellphone numbers, also add a warning to your cellphone, install Google Authenticator, set up a backup cellphone number, and set up a backup code set.

# Make the most complicated password to keep your account safe, And use a password that you can remember well and not share your account with others, for example, buying and selling accounts.

# Be aware of frauds in the name of Google that can have an impact on hacking.
You should not enter your identity. If there is a Gmail address that scams, you can also add an extension that warns you of the password you use, such as Password Alert.

# Move regularly on your device, to avoid viruses and malware that can detect the password you entered.

1. If you use Chrome,
2. You can follow the steps to clean Chrome from the software,
3. Also update browser and antivirus applications periodically to keep them updated and avoid hacking,
4. Also follow the steps in Adding or removing trusted computers.

# Check the last account activity to see if there are suspicious actions in your account. Also delete devices that you never use in your account by cutting access.

# Always exit the account and delete forms, passwords, caches, and cookies periodically in the browser, especially if you use a public device (which is accessed not only by you).

# Always set your device's screen lock so that at any time there are parties that are not responsible for using your device, do they not directly have access to your account, Also enable Android Device Manager so you can still delete, ring, and lock your device when your device is lost.

# Cancel immediately if someone tries to hack your account, and you receive an email that someone is asking to set a password.

# Change your password immediately and do a Security Check if you suspect someone is infiltrating your account. Another thing that is not less important is to remain vigilant so that your account remains safe.

This Mukin can help you for the steps to prevent and anticipate an account on the terrace, hopefully to benefit?
NOTE:
this is for information only, be more careful in doing everything.
# remember we survived.
