How about no! I don't see any strong reasons to leave Bitcointalk. I don't know where did you find censore here? As hilariousetc said, moving threads about Bitcoin Cash from Bitcoin Discussion board to Altcoin discussion isn't a censore, it's just proper moderation.
Merit system is also not a sign of censore. You still can express your opinion freely. Mainly spammers complaining about it, well, I'm not against if they will leave Bitcointalk.Cheesy
If you are Bitcoin Cash supporter, then maybe Forum.Bitcoin.com is a better place for you. I have account on that forum, but I rarely visit it. Shortly, I don't like Roger Ver due to attacks against Bitcoin and also that calss Bitcoin Cash as a real Bitcoin.

If you want to go to a forum that is free of censorship and free of strict rules that limit your ability to rank up, then sign up in Roger Ver's forum, https://forum.bitcoin.com/.

People seem to talk about Bitcointalk's censorship all the time (mostly when I stumble upon r/btc lol), but I personally don't see it. I see plenty of posts that are anti-Bitcoin and it doesn't seem like any mods or admins take action against them. I only ever see spam getting trash canned. Granted, the posters usually get flamed, but that's the internet for you.

I believe it can be as big as Bitcointalk in one year. Plus you also have an opportunity to interact with Roger Ver, the first investor in Bitcoin, also known as the Bitcoin Jesus.

You forgot to mention that he's against Bitcoin now and is actively telling people that Bitcoin Cash is the true Bitcoin. I'm guessing his forum is mostly the same. I honestly though you were being sarcastic, but I guess you're entitled to your own opinion.

What you are saying is ridiculous. The merit system is not censoring anyone and neither is the implementation of ranks in these forums. Newbies aside, all of the ranks are able to post in most sections of the forums and are only limited by the frequency at which they can post, which should honestly not be a problem as even the lowest ranks have quite reasonable limits which cannot be considered "censorship". I do not have a strong opinion on Roger Ver or his forum, so I cannot speak as to anything regarding them, but I have been around for long enough to know that the system used in here is good for the forums as it only scares away spammers and am willing to defend this change.

I think he's talking about posts being 'censored'. Some people think moving talk about bitcoin cash to the alt coin section is censorship, but it really isn't and there is very little actual censorship going on here (and even calling it that even seems extreme in my opinion).

Well I had a quick look at that forum, and this is an extract from the first thread -

Approved Alternative Diet Pills xxxxxxxx is different from most dietary products because it’s more of a weight loss program/diet plan instructing customers to take 3 separate products. It claims to boost metabolism and subsequently burn fat using clinically tested ingredients.

I think I prefer a forum with some censorship. Smiley

Also, I noticed they have solved the problem of ranking based on merit points by not having any ranks. They have also solved the problem of sig spamming by not allowing signatures.

In my opinion the serious discussion boards here provide a better alternative, and now that some of the more intelligent and knowledgeable Bitcoin Talk members are starting to be active there, they have the potential to become the most useful boards for active Bitcoin users.

They have signatures and even allow signature campaigns as far as I'm aware, but I don't think they've been very successful with them because they don't have the traffic or userbase for them to be very effective: https://forum.bitcoin.com/the-forum/signature-campaigns-t491.html

Well we'll have to disagree on Roger Ver but he doesn't come across as someone likeable to me and seemingly only has his own self-interests at heart. But what strict rules are here? This forum is still pretty much as liberal as they come. In fact, it's too liberal and doesn't have enough rules hence why it has become such a shitshow with spammers and crapcoin icos doing whatever they want and that's why things like merit needs to be introduced. What is it about that forum that is better than this one exactly? I can guarantee you that place would quickly become as bad and if not worse than this one if userbases swapped and they did nothing about shitposters and trolls etc but that forum won't have that issue anytime soon and it's likely only a "better"/calmer place to be right now to you due to the lack of users there but that would soon change if they didn't enforce rules or try to "censor" shitposters etc.

But the forum is the people. https://forum.bitcoin.com/ will grow and be as big and good as this Bitcointalk in my opinion.

With the new merit system in place here and the strict rules, I believe some of them need to find a better and a "free-er" place to be in.

Plus I do not believe that Roger Ver is a "cunt". We may disagree with his interpretation of what Bitcoin is but he is no cunt. His passionate way of expressing himself sometimes makes him act like one.

Roger Ver is a cunt though. I'm all for people leaving this forum for that one if they don't like the way this one is run but nobody will leave this board until they can start earning more there. I doubt that forum is free from 'censorship' either... unless by censorship you mean you can talk about bitcoin cash in the main board cos apparently just moving threads here is 'censorship'. I would love to see how they react to having thousands of shitposters swarm their board though. At the moment there's probably not much for them to 'censor' but that would soon change if they receive all the shitposting refugees from us.
