IEO becomes the trend and weapon to make profit in crypto industry. A lot of exchanges are issuing IEO projects to attract traffic, and all of them guarantee customers to gain profit. I have noticed from, news that BXB Exchange just announced its first IEO project to be listed on BXB turbo with LEVERAGE. It means the profit will possiblly go up to 30x which is crazy amazing. Attached news link FYI. Good time to grab the profit with leverage. https://www.prnewswire.co.uk/news-releases/bxb-announces-first-ieo-project-on-bxb-turbo-859942631.html

bitcoin and ICOs! are you kidding me. you are using these two in the same sentence!
bitcoin is not in a bubble because apart from all the speculators and all the fast rises and manipulation it will always have some real usage that creates a lot of real demand.

all your ICO altcoin shitcoins are in a bubble because there is no usage for them and they are only rising because of pure speculation and nothing else. and as we have been seeing for years, bitcoin price comes down but it will go up after the correction but altcoin prices come down because their bubbles pop and they never recover again.

I do agree to some degree with your statement on some ICOs . But I have made some good money off of ICOs . You just have to do your research.

it does not become such a big deal. this is the first step to make bitcoin fixed in the top position for all branches of other investment branch. this is also not included in this cheating is a service to all bitcoin customers. sale or price is too high this is the issue by ico ico other. because in some ico pejualan this is below market price.

many claim we are in a bubble and all cryptos are overvalued....
If you look last decade same thing happened to traditional world of investing..what about twitter and facebook , many said they are overvalued but yet they did not crash..
they are valued based on what they will be worth in the future

It is a matter of time. when 2018 is already done and crypto market (bitcoin, ethereum etc..) creates a new ATH (All time high) many people will say the crypto market bubble will burst on 2019. and yet it will still not happen. crypto industry will still reach new ATH for the coming years. many will know block chain technology and its benefits. sooner or later even if the social media (facebook) will run on blockchain.

While I agree that Bitcoin isn't overvalued, your reasoning doesn't make any sense. Bitcoin doesn't have anything to do with Twitter and Facebook. Sure, they were able to realize their potential, but that is yet to be seen with Bitcoin. If we were to go with your example, then the conclusion would be that it could still go either way.

they are valued based on what they will be worth in the future

So you're saying they are overvalued at the moment?

I am a big believer in Bitcoin, and could already be considered revolutionary because it spawned the rise of cryptocurrencies, but it can't be said that it has succeeded as a currency at least until it can scale. Let's see how the Lightning Network plays out when it hits the mainstream.

It's very similar to a bubble dot com, but we know how it ended then. Of course, some projects are overvalued, some are underestimated, but in general, the technology of blocking is something new and very useful, an innovation in our life. and for that the future.

Bitcoin is considered very precise, with a limited supply of digital currency, it only makes sense that the supply can not increase its value.

It's also safe to say that some ICO are overvalued because that's when the ICO is there, there is a price correction to reflect the true value of the coin.

Bitcoin is definitely undervalued, even at the current ATH of $2760 (bitstamp).

The scaling problem is suppressing the price/value growth of bitcoin. Once this is resolved (UASF!!!), we will see the true value of bitcoin, which I am predicting a 10x price of $25,000/BTC!

totally agree, my estimations on bitcoin price curve used to be maybe even more optimistic than  that, but they were built on the assumption that bitcoin is a currency so I built an adoption curve into the reasoning. Now, as apparently bitcoin is no longer used as a currency, all the reasoning is to be thrown away, together with the price predictions I used to have.

If, however, the scaling problem could be solved, we would be back in the game.

I do agree that some ICOs are overvalued but I would say it still early to jump into conclusions about Bitcoins, since there is so much fuzz about it that the jump in value is more than expected. Back to the ICO talk, although some really are overhyped, I believe that many of them are serious projects that get just enough money to go on - weather it is 100 k or 1 million is up to each project needs. That said, I think it is a matter of putting some time into research so that you can go away from scam and invest on reliable ICOs. In this forum alone I found a few that I am considering investing in (or already did), like AppCoins, Utrust and Monetae.

If you are a professional in crypto stuff, you would find the ICOs are not overvaluated.

But if not, it's crucial to investigate and read as much information as possible and write down all the important aspects, positive and negative, before making an investment decision.
ICO will become more and more "mainstream" as a method of fundraising. There will be plenty of projects to choose from, so it will become even harder to evaluate these projects.

I found three great ones searching in this forum
Appcoins
Filecoin

Indeed, it is still in the midst of a huge bubble. How can a newly established company get more than 1 billion of capital at will? This seems to ordinary people is completely incomprehensible, this is not a bubble what?

Most ICOs are overvalued. And have nothing tangible. Queue CommerceBlock.

First and only ICO with a BIP. Product already and and used by customers. Strategic partnerships with companies like CG Blockchain and advisors from fompanies like Coinshares (e.g. Global Advisors).

The ICO landscape has changed significantly and only the strong will survive. No smoke and mirrors required, just hardcore tech at CommerceBlock.

I live it and love it.

Are you telling us or are you answering us? Anyway people have no work and they will always speak up of say something they are not aware of, you are not supposed to be so much bothered. Problem with people is they compare everything to the technology bubble or the 2008 market crash. They fear what they don't understand. Bitcoins is here to stay, a little fluctuations is fine and this guy's are like omg it's crashing and that's bad. They do just don't get it, so no need to pay attention to these guys. They will regret it.

This is what happens when Satoshi becomes a role model for the community, everyone wants to be like him, launching ICOs to have some cash but Satoshi has never even spent a coin.

While %99 of ICOs are pure scam attempts Bitcoin was never about making money for Satoshi, he really wanted to change the world for the better.

One reason for them being overvalued is because of FOMO, fear plays a significant role in every market whether it's fear of loss which results in panic dump.

Or fear of missing out which results in price going up and up and same time people with most of the coins in their hands will fear what if we don't sell and price drops regardless? so they will dump and results in correction.

Just dont mind those people possibly they are victims of the bubble that occurred last 2013 and it leaves a negative impression on their minds. But bitcoin today is much stronger than it was before and every after dumps there are always catchers who are waiting for the fall as a chance to buy more bitcoins. As bitcoins grows stronger the price increases as the number of users and demand increases. Saying bitcoin is undervalued is just a joke to make people to panic sell so that they can buy bitcoins at a lower value.

All I know is that I know nothing.
why is it that people always try to stick other things to bitcoin!
"because bitcoin is such and such, then that altcoin or ico or whatever is also such and such"
not it is not! all those ICOs are overvalued as a matter of fact and we have been proven time and time again. and no bitcoin is not overvalued and it has nothing to do with what is going on in the altcoin scene!
