Yeah but buying and holding bitcoin isn't a short term investment. I went to almost $800 and now its back down, who knows when it will break $800 or all the all time high again?

I think you can consider the investment in bitcoin as short term investment because the time is now very short when it will touch the all time high rate. no doubt gambling is the shortest way of earning money but it is more risky and you can even lose your all investment with in a day or two.

If you are that worried then just invest your BTC in exchanges and you get to provide margin for traders. It not that much but its relatively safe and its much better than earning interest at the bank.

That is the best thing to do, neither invest nor gamble just keep your coins safe in your wallet and you can earn better profits in future when price goes higher.

Not a good advice, though. Gambling makes you more addicted towards it, and people can't stop until they lose.
Just having a coin with you is fine as you are already invested in it, no need to gamble.
You coin has a value, gambling may be dangerous sometimes.

The only bad side of this is people sometimes don't do it for fun and they are making a risk to sacrifice all their hard-earn coins just to make a big profit with ease.

Nope you are wrong, invest on gambling site doesnt mean that you gambling your own money, because house is always win so i would say better to invest on trustworthy site which is higher chance to get some good profit rather than gambling more of your money and you dont even know if you are going to win or not thats why invest is more safe than gambling. My understanding on the thread is to gamble or to invest in gambling, if you would like to ask me I would do the second one. I would invest in gambling sites as I know how profitable they are and there are many gamblers who just like to waste their money in gambling.
