Yes that is indeed a date to celebrate. We live in a world where poor is gonna stay poor forever because the capitalism and the government oppression bus indeed something that everyone knows about but doesn't work to change the it. People have tried over the years but when it comes to bitcoins I consider it to be the strongest statement ever given by a common man.

For me I do believe with Bitcoins we actually learned that we don't have to always rely on the centralized bodies, we don't have to follow the corrupt society, we don't have to actually sit and just do nothing, with bitcoins we have seen a lot of revolutions , the case of venezuela will forever be a strong statement.

I do believe with bitcoins we as a person have a hold of our own money, which cannot be said even for a safe bank account or a property.

Plus in 2021 we did see an incredible streak. We did hit an ATH and there are many investors pouring in.

I guess op did know about it as it can be included on any URL as long it starts with "#".

Satoshi did choose that news headline, obviously, the idea behind the creation of bitcoin is to offer an alternative from the flawed banking system we have.

Twelve years has run so fast, those who are into bitcoin during the early years were the big people out of cryptocurrency. During those days believing in technology is really a big thing, and people who believed are real heroes. I state this based on the growth it has achieved now. If none have given early support, now it couldn't have reached such a level of growth.

We are happy because bitcoin is more than a decades now and we are looking that bitcoin will live more than few decades more. People who are in the cryptocurrency in it's first year got cheapest bitcoin and it is easy to collect 1 bitcoin on that year and you can get 1 bitcoin in just 1 day but even months or years it is really hard because the high value ans I hope people who in the first year of the bitcoin are still here and getting millions of profit.

i have always wondered what the initial trading price of bitcoin was but i could never find it since the historical values in most sites don't go that far back or are very inaccurate (usually charts not points).

could you please tell us the source you got this number from?
Might be from this source: https://www.investopedia.com/articles/forex/121815/bitcoins-price-history.asp#:~:text=Bitcoin%20first%20started%20trading%20from,in%20July%202010%20per%20coin.

This chart looks giving some information too and it values 0.07 by August 18, 2020: https://knoema.com/infographics/nmyfsf/bitcoin-price-index-2010-to-2016

Can we call it, The Bitcoin Day?
Maybe, "The Bitcoin Network Day"? Huh

It started trading from around $0.0008 and today is worth $33000+

Time is the best teacher.
If anyone tells that bitcoin started at a USD value of $0.0008 then they will not believe it and the same way in the past at that time if anyone would say that bitcoin will be $34k each then others would consider you mad.

Mads are the one who win eventually. Let's not ignore them anymore. Bitcoin to $1M is possible. :-D

Happy bitcoin day!

Bitcoin is 12 years old and my association with Bitcoin is 8 years and 1 month old. I still regret the fact that I ignored Bitcoin when I first heard about it in 2011. But better late than never. Got my coins in 2012, for around $10 per coin. Lost most of it after a few months in a scam, but after that it was a life-changing journey. Back then, not even in my wildest imagination I thought that the exchange rates would increase by 3,400x.

12 years pass very fast and I have only 3 years in crypto market, only one-fourth of bitcoin history. I don't know how people (who lost their bitcoin by loss of private key, did not back up wallets, lost password, and sold bitcoin for few cents) are thinking about their decisions, today, in the 12th birthy day of bitcoin.

And here it goes it turns twelve, might still be up even if we see Buffet's casket (who knows), and looks like he'll be the one to pop up before Bitcoin does. Let's see if I, you, Buffet, or Bitcoin will be the first to implode.  Grin

Happy 12th Birthday Bitcoin Network.

12 years and the price is very exciting I don't know if it will remain exciting for the 13 year anniversary of Bitcoin, this year must have caused more people to know about the Bitcoin birthday -because of the price- people I know don't have anything to do with Bitcoin, posted Birthday messages, now its like you get popular and the ladies when you say something about Bitcoin, LOL, its all just exciting.

On 3rd January 2009, the bitcoin network came in to existence with Satoshi Nakamoto mining the genesis block of bitcoin (Block Number 0) which had a reward of 50 BTC. It started trading from around $0.0008 and today is worth $33000+
