Bitcoin in Niger State💯
My goodness, coming in contact with this thread makes me sober. On how life on earth is ephemeral and the only the only true treasure we have on this earth is the lasting memory we have of our efforts and fulfillments on the surface earth.

Indeed, it is a major achievement to remember the late Hal Finney, one of the early Bitcoin pioneers who played a critical part in the cryptocurrency's early days, receiving the very first Bitcoin transaction from Sir Satoshi Nakamoto himself. Hal Finney's confidence in the system and trust in Satoshi's vision are absolutely admirable. Unfortunately, he died, but his contributions to the growth and development of Bitcoin will be remembered forever.

Adieu Late Hal Finney!

Yeah so many persons has it that he is the real satoshi
And if that ever may be, that's why we're not going to see satoshi anymore and have been successfully retain his privacy and anonymity.

but  to me is all based on assumptions because no actual proof that he is the one, so until then nobody knows his real identity, so may soul rest in peace
No proof but he's truly the closest one to be hiding in that alias/pseudonym. And one reality is that, we'll never know who the real satoshi is and we'll never see Hal again.  Sad

Only person I believe to be the real satoshi. Rest in Peace Hal, we all miss you here and thank you for your contributions to the society and Bitcoin. We don't even know what major issues he was able to solve with his very own pseudo satoshi in the early stages of Bitcoin. Great work, I am sure wherever he is, he's loving how his technology is still the best Blockchain development ever for many upcoming years.

There had been so many speculations about who the real Satoshi was but till today, no one knows who he was and how he looks like. The more we keep agitatinh on who the real Bitcoin creator was the more the market will keep going bull because the market has no listening ears. There are many invent that had happened in the past that ought to be celebrated but this could lead to too much of events to be celebrated. We keep looking at the future for what it has to offer since there are great expectations from the market to receive.

May his soul rest in peace!

If his wife has access to his Twitter account then I think she might have access to his forum account.

Based on assumption I believe before his dying state he would have hand over his Bitcoin account to his family as a part of will to them. Because I believe a man with his capacity will never allow the account to be wasted without giving it to someone or the family.

Hal Finney died from ALS (Lou Gehrig disease) on 28 August 2014.

This is what I haven't known about a new character in the Bitcoin book.

I heard about a lot of people involved in the initial stages of the system most of them were just imaginary and some were real He seemed like one of those people but in my confidential view, Stoshi is the only one who is known for this work as no matter who was involved as its is agreed upon stoshi was the creator of theme so He deserves the Credits. We have nothing as proof of their authenticity for those who were interested in appreciating them.

Now the the Credits who deserve it are only Bitcoiners as after through this jumping journey they are still on the page to support the Bitcoin system.

I could have sworn that Hal Finney was still a forum member at the time I registered and account, but that is false cause I did not have an account here 9 years ago.

I probably wrongly recall the incident with the hacked account and the lots of discussions it drew.

He was great asset to Bitcoin and bitcoiners and is one of the main reasons we have a btcoin network today which is functional, a step that changed the course of history.

I was aware of Hal, but I hadn't realized he had passed away. May his soul rest in peace; he truly deserves credit for his beliefs in Bitcoin and his support of Satoshi Nakamoto. As one of the early Bitcoin supporters, he played a such a big role in its foundation. If he were still with us, I am confident he would have continued to advocate for Bitcoin even more passionately, potentially making a positive impact on the cryptocurrency's development.

Sadly he passed away and left our bitcoin community. May god rest his soul and I hope bitcoin will get more supporters in the future and I hope it'll get such a bright future.

He is an icon, a person who is a big part of Bitcoin's history, may he Rest in Peace.

anyone who hasn't read Bitcoin and me (Hal Finney), I suggest you read it, It is an inspirational post that I think someone should read at least once in their life.

His wife, Fran Finney still has access to Hal Finney's Twitter account.
Regarding Hal Finney's accounts, I saw his bitcointalk account was last active in 2017, I wonder who has access to his bitcointalk account.
Thanks for sharing his post. I read this thread yesterday, then left it as I did not know anything about Hal, but today I came to see it again, and I thought that many members must have shared their opinions about it and I must find something useful, and here it is: your post.

I found it useful as it enlightened me about Hal Finey and how optimistic he was about BTC. Besides that, I also learned that if Hal Finey used to talk with Satoshi and he said he might be a Japanese (not exactly in the same words), that's almost what he meant.

I mean, that solves a lot of things or confusions for those who think he is dead, as Hal Finey clarifies by himself that he was interested in cryptography before that, and once the BTC was introduced, he became interested.

There are a couple of relevant entries in the account’s trusted feed that point to Hal’s password being changes on 13/02/2017.

As per theymos’ post, the account may have been compromised back when the password change took place, leading him (theymos) to lock the account.

Before locking the account, someone manage to make a couple of posts from it. The posts were deleted (and obviously not Hals), though we can see the content of one of them here (the other post was apparently a duplicate).

Yeah, I saw the feedback that was left when the password was changed but there was no mention of whether the one who changed was the wife, one of his kids or a hacker, Thanks a lot for looking deeper into it and sharing it here.

Hal Finney died from ALS (Lou Gehrig disease) on 28 August 2014.
Hal Finney was an uncommon cryptographer and computer scientist. He is an inspiration to many because he was one of the few that embraced Bitcoin when Cryptographers were seen as clueless noobs. He contributed a lot to the development of bitcoin and predicted that it would make many millionaires in the future. Even when he was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease, he still spent his last days working on different crypto projects that benefitted the community. He is seen by many as the inventor of bitcoin but nobody has proved that assumption.

His body is still been preserved through cryonic freezing because he and his wife Fran believe that that he can be brought back to life in the future. This might look impossible to many people but both couples always believed in the impossible. May his soul rest in peace until he achieves his goal of resurrection.

I am confident that some day when BTC has gained the expansive wider reach of adoption around the globe such personality would be well celebrated and giving the deserved credit for their contribution and sacrifice made.
RIP Hai Finney, without believers like you bitcoin wouldn't have been possible to this day.
