Wow, sometimes I feel like I spent the day living under a rock. I didn't even check Cointelegraph all day or I am sure I would have caught this. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I am going to read about this for a few as this seems like it may be a massive jump in the right direction for the US and everyone involved in crypto.

I hope we can start participating in some ICOs soon!

It may not be in our best interest, however its better than more FUD! And it may help the market and result in other nations following suit!

I think sometimes that they are playing with us with these news. After bad news and market drop could this good news pull market up.
Is that simple? Riding waves and relaxing Cool

Rest assured).
In smart books on investment and trading write about it. For large players, news is needed so that the price moves in the right direction.
In this case, let's hope that this is the beginning of a flow of good news, as whales have bought and want to the moon.

It sounds very good, but I have my doubts about everything that comes out of U.S. So far in my experience they have never worked for someone else interests. Whatever they say, I don't think is in our best interest.

What do you mean on this? Do you try to say that someone from us always think about theirselves only?

Well, at least we can be bit smile with this and it might be affecting the market become green again.

That is great news. At least the market will cool down now. And thinking long term regulations will have to take place soon or later.

Sounds very good, This guy will make the market become stable again, I think it is a result of the recent green we see on the market. the interests of future generations to have a decentralized currency should be respected regardless of any government intervention. I will give my compliment to his twitter account.

Who knows, maybe it is! In any case, after the bad news, there will always come good, according to the probability theory

after weeks of well coordinated FUD campaigns, we finnaly got some really good news about crypto. The will not try to destroy it, they will simply regulate it. This is good news, as governments often ban things they dont understand. Now we can observe what comes next from China.

So you think it's finish ? They only begin..

- Europe want to ban crypto : https://www.express.co.uk/finance/city/907121/bitcoin-Cryptocurrency-price-risk-bans-Emmanuel-Macron-Angela-Merkel-France-Germany

- Every banks also wants to ban it : https://www.coinspeaker.com/2018/02/05/top-banks-ban-buying-bitcoin-credit-cards-debt-fears/

 - The Express is pretty much a sensationalist tabloid-style paper, I wouldn't trust it as a primary news source (i.e if it's the only one running a story.)

 - This is aimed at investors who are using money they don't have to buy bitcoin. It's not shocking to me that the issuers of the credit cards want to minimize their risks. That's not a strike against bitcoin and crypto, per se. That's just them covering their asses against risky credit card spending behaviour.

I do agree that iit's not over, in that there will still be plenty of FUD being spread in other countries,  but today's SEC hearing is cause for some cautious optimism at the very least.

TBH I didn't expected so positive news from U.S. They make the market stable after China's ban.

Let's hope many others will follow them!

At present, there is little positive information on this, and it reinforces the belief of everyone as well as investors about the bright future of Bitcoin as well as the cryptocurrencies. I hope the positive information about cryptocurrencies from Christopher Giancarlo will help the market recover and increase rapidly in the next week.

I was so surprised to read all the overwhelmingly positive comments they made as I was kinda just expecting more bad news. Hopefully this will help influence other countries to do the same.

This news are like a breath of the fresh air among all this FUD, america was always goodin implementation of financial technologies (you can take BTC futures as an example). Unfortunately I am sure that most of the medias will totaly ignore this news. They are more likely to post something like "Governments of another shithole countries are going to ban bitcoin" then something valuable. It will be good if then banks and services will start accepting cryptocurrencies but tbh they are not willing to move on this direction.
