I have taken part of some ICOs and everytime their token price goes down after the ICO.. why is that so?

EDIT:
oh, nice.. that was helpful and pretty much what I was looking for.. thanks for sharing

Hey

That might be helpful for you to understand the reason behind it - http://cryptoandblockchaintalk.com/why-do-prices-drop-when-an-ico-ends-27

Take care!

The first reason it could be that people dump their airdrops and bounties. However, frequently, they are quite delayed and I doubt that's kind of a big issue.
Secondly, why people who just bought will sell at a loss straight after the ICO. It could be because they found something dodgy about the project or price is falling and they decided to exit with others.
The last reason I can think of is that those who bought as early birds or private investors, who have some profit may sell it with some profit...Anyways, those all factors may impact, as well as a bear market.

It mostly goes like that cause a lot of people dump their token easily without realizing the effect on it. In some cases also, the team never care on their project and their main concern is on the money they'll get from investors, and they aren't go for more exchanges listing.

1. Most projects are victims of the bear market. Its not easy finding an ICO that will give you good profits in this bear market. Most ICO investors now are flippers, after getting X2 or 3 they dump the tokens are look for another project to flip.
2. Not listing immediately on a reputable exchange results to token price drop
3. Too much bonus on private salw without lock up
4. Zero marketing, just focused on project development
5. Bad tokenmetrics

The main reason, I think, is that the project has a product that is not popular with the public, so I think we can see that the market is struggling now, many of the ICOs have fallen off after the exchange. And they have lost investor confidence

I have taken part of some ICOs and everytime their token price goes down after the ICO.. why is that so?

I think the main reason why the price of token goes down after ICO is that the bounty hunters or the investors dumps the coin after they receive it. In that case, they will receive higher price but the coin will not survive since the price of it will become low because they dump it already.

Answer is simple, at the market everything is dropping so new projects can drop like everything. I dont recommend for participating to ico at bear market also.
And when these new projects gets into exchanges most of them will start to be dumped. It is not questionable if most of these tokens are dropping after they held an ICO because many don't like those tokens to stay on their wallets. Participating during the bear market would give you the idea that more ETH/BTC you'll invest, the lower value they've got. But if the price of these coins starts to bull, you will only need to spend small amount.

if they run bounty campaign, of course the bounty hunters sell their tokens that's why token price drop and also the early investors too selling their tokens.

All ICO projects are very risky for investment and investing in new projects is a bad choice. I think it will take a lot of time to see the new recovery as the cryptocurrency is heavily influenced by whales and big financial corporations.

Because its value is not as high as it was at the calling phase. The project also spends a lot of money on listing on some exchanges and paying wages to many people. Then they will sell tokens and lower the price.

Personally i think all the dumpers and maybe some projects trying to gain too by pumping in tokens from their reserve funds too and then cutting the price themselves just for short term gain is the reason behind fall in token price after ico

I don't understand that either. That's why I don't invest in ico.Because she's making a huge loss right now.But I think these things will be fine.Again icos will continue to earn money.Only the bull market needs to be improved. When the bull came, icos would do business again.
An ICO Project requires development so that in the beginning a process will occur and it will make the ICO price decline. But over time, when a project has reached a much higher level, the price can increase. Implementation and how the team works will determine whether they can achieve that goal or not. This is an unavoidable thing, ICO projects need patience and we must be right in choosing an ICO project.

Many are in here only for quick money and sell immediately after listing. But it's not very wise to sell after listing, we are in a bear market now and if prices will rise again good projects will rise also. Patience is key for many issues in life.

If you participated in a good ICO I would wait because value will be much more if it becomes a success.

this is a regular issue wich nobody has possessed the capacity to comperhend why . It is these reasons , the early stages rewards that are offured by the undertaking for general society and once the ICO is finished ,numerous speculators will dump the token and trade then for more steady coins

Good read but also take into considerations the cashing out from ETH of those ICOs. That's the reason why Eth fell as well plus the fact that there are some delays in their promises.

Now this trend, almost all coins after entering the stock exchange fall. I think this is not the fault of the project developers, most likely just a bad time chosen to run the projects.

The price goes down after ico
there is many factors why the price goes down
- Bonus too big when presale
- Allocation for bounty, airdrop campaigns is big
- WEAKHANDS
- Too many investors sell their token When the token the first time to enter  market

i think thats reason why thee price goes down after ico

This is the most usual scenario after listing in exchange and the price drop down to 50 percent lower than the ICO price but if you observe the trade volume it is just a minimal. The usual cause of the price dump is from the early investor who availed the very big discount from pre-sale, private sale or other sales that offer a higher discount like 50 to 70 percent. Some of it came from bounties but overall this price dump is just as little as 1 percent than the total available supply of the token.
