Oh, here's another helpful hint. Clean out the air filter in your A/C regularly. It helps a LOT.

Thanks for the Reminder!  Just did the filters on my Mitsubishi Slim Jim.....

Yep, mining rigs are going to have to move to the basement, I think. If I can find any space down there.

Sell your rigs, buy an air conditioner.  Totally worth it.

I'm in Wisconsin and it's been in the 90s but my basement is still under 70 Cheesy Just run it in your basement if you have one Cheesy  Btw when winter rolls around, we're actually going to be able to discount power costs completely because like 250-1000W of mining power that's being dissipated as over 99% heat is going to be really nice and take the load off our furnace.

Yea, 30c is hot, it was 42c outside today, then + the humidity made it awful. Couldn't be outside more than 5 minutes, felt like radiation eating the skin.

Temperature in the room where I have both my mining rigs: 111 degrees F.

Time to shut down the miners until this heat wave passes!

(no, don't want to get AC)

Get a large fan at costco/wallmart/whatever and watch your temperature drop by 10 degrees.  keep the air moving, but you might already be doing this, i don't know.

It's July 19th.

Summer is in the future for you?  Are you in the southern hemisphere, or northern Canada?

Lol, canada experiences summer the same time you americunts do Tongue

Hey, I said NORTHERN Canada (e.g., Yukon or Northwest Territories), not talking about places like Toronto which are actually south of many US cities (strange but true!)...

I just looked up the weather forecast for Dawson, Yukon Territories, CA -- high 64 (F) and low 45 (F). That's not summer! hahaha

Thats hot.

I have mine in a separate room with two opposite windows fully opened, so air goes throw and I think I will be able to keep operating during the summer. The only bad thing about this is the rain.

Does your room have a window? If so, you could consider making some kind of a air duct to direct the exhaust from your mining rigs directly out the window.

Monday was another sweltering day across the state. As of 4 p.m. the heat index had climbed to 112 at Mpls-St. Paul International Airport and 118 in other places across the state.

I actually don't mind heat. But these dew points are kidding me.

Quote
The state dew point record of 86 was also tied at Madison, MN Sunday night. Meteorologist Ken Barlow did some checking and found the only other spot in the Western Hemisphere with a dew point in the 80's Sunday was the Amazon Jungle in South America.
