There are several tokens that are also promising. If you are like  holding a token of a project that you look forward to being developed and that you think its price will sky rocket in the future, no one is going to hold back to you to force you to sell. You can hold it til the project go live.

Check this for a sample. Those users today who are holding their SONM for a year already might be able to finally harvest the fruits. SONM will finally be live on July and this project will distribute earnings to its holders.

Start with top coin, understand the market a bit; only after that should you explore the world of ICOs

You can hold many, but I recommend you mainly hold top coins. Small coins you can buy and sell to make profits.

Not really.

99% of every altcoin and ICO will not survive in the long run because most of them:

1. Are a money grab scheme;
2. Are useless;
3. Don't have a working product;

I'm pretty sure 99% of every coin in the Announcements (Altcoin) board front page right now are going to die in the next few years.

Do you want to gamble and try to catch a pump? Sure. But if you want to be part of the revolution, stay with the top coins and a few others with true potential.
I completely agree with this view. Up to 99% of the coins do not die in a few years, but even within a few months. And I'm not talking about the coins sold in the presale and admin has also evaporated with the money collected.

There are too many altcoins. I would suggest to concentrate on few most popular ones.

I'm not sure that it's a good idea to invest in many ICOs, cause 95% of the ICOs are scam. You should be very careful if you want to invest in any ICO. This project must have a serious idea and working MVP. I can recomend you Cryptics. This is the forecasting platform which does use 100% self-learning AI. They have already had a good MVP. Their AI does analyze the market of crypto currency and make daily, hourly and four-hourly forecasts for the different matches of cryptos, some exchanges and for the market. There will also be opportunity to trade and make investments. In September they are going to launch a trading bot on the platform.

Interesting. Thanks for your advise. I'm gonna check their website.

Holding coins works well only in bull market, as in late 2017. But if you didn't sell at that point, you'd regret it, a lot (as many here did). So you need to learn when to sell. And that's way more difficult to do if you have to follow 20 or 30 coins, than if you hold 2 or 3. Of course it depends of how much you invested too, the more you invest, the more you'll want to diversify, unless you're going for a high risk. Which also makes sense in many situations. But to start with, go with less coins and try to learn about market cycles at least to be ready to sell when the moment comes.

Sure, there are so many ICO now and it's difficult to choose a best one for investing. So, I can suggest you two way for safety investment
- Choose ICO from icodrops, especiallly related blockchain and protocol
- Check the community on twitter, telegram and reddit.
- Be carefull with ICO run ref program
- When token is available on exchanges, sell 50% and hold 50% of token amount.

A golden rule in investment is diversification. There is always the risk that you lose money, and that is even more the case in crypto. If you put all your money in a single coin, and that coin happens to lose all its value, you're basically rekt.
But diversification doesn't mean buy every coin in the market. As always, do your research, and find the coins that are the most potential to grow in the future.
Indeed,keep rearching and learning that is one of the things that i learned in entering in the world of cryptocurrencies,even if we have so many altcoin if what we are all holding are the coins that has no value we certainly cannot make some fortune in there so for the beginners what they should do is to have proper knowledge about the coin they were taking.Diversify their holding in a more profitable way.

90% of altcoins will probably die and only the good one will survive.
Bitcoin will lead the way for the crypto market.

There will be altcoins that can survive either, having a huge market cap, community, listed on many exchanges -decentralized and not. Don't be too focused by diversifying much because you may get a lower volume from the best coins like bitcoin.

Instead of putting a good capital to bitcoin it will only go to an altcoin that you're not really believing.

I think it is not okay and very risky to hold altcoins for the long term but might be very rewarding as well. Many well known people in crypto are bitcoin maximalists they don't even hold valuable alts.

This is a very right decision to buy many different coins, tokens for a long time.The more different coins, tokens ,the more chances to profit.
