There aren't any realistic SegWit cons I could think off... no one of the cons listed seem like a real con to me. You don't lose anything of value with SegWit, all you gain is better capacity without the hassle of a hardfork, what's to complain about really?

Correct. Basically even if we disregard the fact that there is still enough space in the blocks (looking at average), their reasoning is usually indirectly related to greed (i.e. profit). They're hoping that more transaction space -> more users -> higher price. Hard forks are very hard to carry out and definitely not "elegant" (as Veritas claims) and as such should be executed rarely and only when needed. There's a hard fork wish list on the Wiki.
