We will only run Bitcoin Core-compatible consensus systems, eventually containing both SegWit and the hard-fork, in production, for the foreseeable future.

the best strategy for Classic is now to drop 2mb support and propose a 4mb hard fork Tongue

Brilliant. Best news I've seen for a while. Hope all these Gavin cheerleaders crawl back into the shadows now.

The core devs have proven over and over that they are highly talented and know what they are doing.
Not that I would particularly disagree, I'd still be cautious about giving it all up to strangers playing sorcerer apprentice with our money.

Ofc crassic folks are way worse than that, no need to engage in further discussion with them wackos.
This is a very reasonable stance. You can't blindly follow them just because they've proven themselves in the past either. I concur. The Classic team is just a bunch of people who haven't really contributed much to Bitcoin lately (if at all). Anyhow, Classic is DOA.

I don't understand why there are still supporters of Classic when already we all know that the Classic developer team is underqualified to run the development of Bitcoin's full node... this meeting is in my opinion the nail in the coffin for Classic, hopefully we can now focus on how to keep improving Bitcoin.

Agreed 100%.

Anyone want to take bets on the next attempts name? I think Bitcoin Reloaded sounds good. The core devs have proven over and over that they are highly talented and know what they are doing. I do not know about you guys, but I have never had issues sending coins due to full blocks. There is no rush and we are better off taking our time and doing it right the first time.

It's been difficult to figure out which side to support through this trainwreck of forks, doxxing and drama   Cry

Censorship on Reddit, iCEBREAKER and his /b/tard insults  Cry

I am deeply disappointed  Cry

And you came to this deeply concerned conclusion after reading the robot-upvoted posts from the vast quantity of sockpuppet of censored /r/btc?

We saw this exact same type of concern-troll post during the XT debacle.

Some noob nobody comes out and writes a long, weepy story about how Disappointed and Concerned they are with how rude [Core supporter] has been acting.

So they conclude in favor of [latest Gavinista fork], "Because Offended."

Oh, and don't forget "Because Sensor Ships."   Cheesy

Yeah, I am concerned, like a lot of developers were concerned about nodejs when Joyent tried to prevent the software from developing further. It was a similar situation with a similar outcome: people became so dissatisfied with the status quo, they forked the project, and eventually Joyent were forced to listen to the community in order to reconcile both sides.

But you wouldn't care about any of that, because you're a fucking idiot. Fuck you too.
Last time I checked, every single relevant BIP was done by Core developers, meanwhile all the other developer teams attempting to hard fork have never done anything relevant to help Bitcoin beside splitting the community for their own agenda's sake.

What's this regarding block #398364? Any news?

Deleted by the Politbüro in r/pyongjang forum, but those small brains can't delete it from the Bitcoin Blockchain.

Is it time to panic now?

Panic is the reason of this thread and of the ridiculous sensor ship the OP and his masters are using.

lol satire, motherfucker, do you speak it?

@coup/shill management: is this really the best you can do? This one can't even use the language it's appropriating in a way that still makes the plagiarized words funny, please send higher quality shills, surely you actually do want to sabotage Bitcoin successfully? I just can't take all these Franky1's and jonald_fyookball's seriously, I am sorry.

gee carlton  Shocked

you lost your temper too it seems, would not blame you tho. ^^

oh no, it's my pulp fiction paraphrase  Cheesy (I was ripping on it's inability to use/understand the sensor ships joke)

Exactly what we've expected. Core will prepare it's own hard fork, will be done professionally by a skilled team.

The scaling debate will be finally over and community would be able to reunite and to focus without distractions on making Bitcoin the next big thing.

If this is the way, sounds fair to me.
A blocksize >2MB is something also Classic supporters should be happy with.

North Korean sensor ship

Off topic:
That is an American Arleigh Burke-class destroyer. It can be used to censor North Korea, I guess.

Oops!  That is the USS John McCain.  Silly image search!   Cheesy

But if North Korea doesn't have sensor ships, how does theymos oppress Bitcoin in such a totalitarian manner?
