#2 The digital design company theyused for their ASICs are litecoin moles.

and the number one reason BFL will postpone and April 2013 shipping date:

11. Jalapeno not fitting into USB's 5W power limit and thus they need a complete redesign of the chips. Running out of monies when missing eight ( 8 ) months of promised delivery dates in a row. Refunds stack and Anti-BFL advertising kicks in, no more monies in and joshing around finally stops.

1 heatsink fans are not designed for duble triple load and heat
2 josh is a liar scam artist jerk
3 1000 chips diveded by 8 u 125 sc unit
4 125 sc units with duble or triple chiops = 50 units at best
5 if they ship anithing will be for publicity stunt
6 bfl is very elaborate string along scam
7 of the pyramidal type if u request u refund u actually still get one
8 are covered by new orders comning in going to those requesting refund
9 they 7 months late and 10 month since they took millions
10 if they wouldnt be  a scam with so many millions they would shippend something

"The process to bring a brand new ASIC to life is not as simple as turning it on. The fact that some people BFL thinks it is, is an indicator that they have never actually done so. There is a lot of testing, poking, prodding and debugging that needs to happen to get a chip up and running and if someone BFL tells you differently, they are incorrect, plain and simple."

Avalon should be pricing their subsequent batch units at $5k, since they are proven to be able to deliver. They are selling themselves short on profit otherwise. While they are probably still making assloads of money being an all China based operation, people are willing to pay.

They are the ONLY company to deliver ASICs to customers, so all the more reason to charge whatever they wish, you can't get any anywhere else.

We should cheer for BFL instead of continually attacking them.  BFL's stumble so far is why Avalon has increased their prices for the 3rd batch 4x.  We need more competition in the ASIC space or else it's guaranteed the only winners will be the ASIC manufacturers themselves.

I really like #5 (not so much the testnet part) as their next "legitimate bullshit" excuse for more delays.

The only reason they will not ship is because they are not capable of making the machine.  Someone told me that they are busy changing the website to sell 100MPG carburetors to all the people who do not realize this is not possible to achieve (and do not realize their car does not have a carb) and that as a token of good will all BFL customers will get a coupon code for 20% off.

What kind of gift bag did Nick Jr. get after his visit?

Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending
With how quiet it has been in this 'chip testing' phase I would prepare for some more bad news.  BFL is usually pretty prompt with providing mediocre information and really slow with passing on bad news.

I really wish I could find that statement made by Josh so long ago (June I think) about how they had learned so much about this industry from the FPGAs that the ASICs process would be so much smoother.

I wonder have they actually surpassed the FPGA delay mark yet? What was it 6 months? Tongue

Taxin' my memory, I believe it was the ASIC press release.

With that, I'm going to bed.

Nite, Vite!
