have you taken a look at Hut34 Project? i think this project is good for future, by providing network where Bots, IoT, can be easily monetised.

OP of this ANN prominently outed as a fraudster in this article about one of her recos:

https://cryptoincome.me/2017/10/21/exposing-ico-briskpass/

If BriskPass is this much of a fraud, I would do some serious DD on the rest of OP’s Suggestions.

Caveat Emptor.
The CoinLancer suggestion raised red flags for me as well.

After investing a really tiny amount into Aion because of this thread, I would really be wary for anyone else to do so too. After doing my own research, man I'm not even sure if Aion is going to make it.
Really need to watch out for empty buzz words and empty promises. I wouldn't put any more than 10-20% of my portfolio into risky "too good to be true" kinds of projects, and even those 10% I would split up among multiple such projects.

Thank you for the list. Very interesting. But healthcare and energy are missing - what I believe to be the most interesting going forward. Please suggest some in those spaces.

I have said it a few times already on this forum. It is also not because they are in my signature. Truth is by me promoting it I encourage more people to join their bounty campaign which in turn reduces my share in the bounty. i have invested in GLADIUS. I truly believe it is a fantastic use of blockchain technology.

Decent list, good to see some unique ideas after all.
Here is another one that I think is quite decent, Xenio is pretty cool. Do check out their pre-ann thread, here is the link https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/presale-xenio-blockchain-decentralized-gaming-blockchain-2142127

I have invested in many ICO's over the last 9 months. I have studied many and kept well away also. Sometimes that was a mistake I may add.

The best ICO I have found so far, to date is definately GLADIUS

What have you done in the healthcare sector ?

How do noobs pick an ICO to invest and loose money?

#3. Beauty is in Simplicity

I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to see the simplicity behind an idea. It is the simplest ideas that makes the most money and reaches audience in masses. Look for the simplicity in presentation and approach of an ICO if you do not understand it even after doing due research just don’t bother, IF IT’S TOO HARD FOR YOU TO BUY, THEN IT’S TOO HARD TO SELL TO MASSES.

I can not agree more with you. This is very important, there are a lot of projects out there with sophisticated principles and explanations.  I agree that algorithms and working principles could be and are sophisticated but if one or TEAM is not able to make a simple presentation about their projects to potential investors they dont have a solid projects. One of the business ground principles is keep it simple!

Take a look at Alttradex, it's an exchange.  A lot like Binance who are now one of the biggest exchanges by volume and their token is up 15x the ICO price.
I focus on projects that will generate revenue at an early stage otherwise there is a big risk they run out of money and make the tokens worthless.

What's the benefit of using Alttradex over Binance though?
